This is our local UPS store and it's great. The people working there are always nice, the service is helpful and even with a line, they are efficient and it never seems to take too long. The store is also very clean which I appreciate. The other day I came in for a "Live Scan" which is a special background check that involves doing a variety of fingerprints on a screen with some fancy paperwork. Our school is requiring this for volunteers. Well the gentleman that helped me was awesome. The fingerprinting is a little tricky and he guided me through the process flawlessly. I have been going here for years and have never had a problem until recently. There's a gentleman that works there with long dark hair always wears a mask( which is fine ) but is always so combative and condescending. It makes it very difficult to utilize this location if he is working. Makes you feel like an idiot when he's talking to you and treats customers with so much disrespect it's disgusting.. when he's there I'm willing to drive the extra 10 minutes to another location because he makes it so miserable. read more

I want to start by saying that my experience at this location has always been great! Always quick and staff is usually friendly. I went in a week before Christmas to print nice labels for all of my gifts. I spent almost $20 on some Avery labels. There were 12 sheets and I was going to use 10 of them to make mine and my brothers kids labels for Christmas gifts for work and their classes. I had to email the files to their store email. I did so and called to confirm they got it and came in. I was helped by Arthur. It wasn't my first time being helped by him, but I usually just have Amazon returns. He is usually a more straight faced person when I come in but I don't really mind as my transaction is always quick. This time, I came in to make these labels and my experience was very different. I told him that I always do a test on a piece of paper and write an X on it and sent through printer to ensure we know how to enter the label papers in the feed and print on the right side. He assured me that if he used the side tray, it bypasses any other print job and he's done it before. He sent the fist one through and it prints on the wrong side. That's a waste of a sheet . All he said was " well that's a first." He never apologized and just tried to hand it back to me. I was like oh ok I guess you can trash it. Now we know how we need to enter it so a few others were printed. Then he printed one of the files twice. That was a waste of another page of labels and I had none left to make if I needed more. Printing all the files took about 45 min. When I went to pay I asked him if he could give me a discount for his errors and waste of my product/time. He said "Unfortunately not." I mean, it was only about $8 but it was the principle. I tried to tell myself it's Christmas time and maybe he was just having a bad day because I am sure it's super busy this time of year for them. By the next day, I was still upset at how he handled the situation and how he his demeanor wasn't empathic so I decided to write the store. I am glad to say that the owner Hanswahini Kumar called me right away, but I was at work. They emailed me, apologized for my experience, and refunded me for my print job. Quick, friendly service here at this UPS. I had to drop off a few packages and I was helped right away. A few hours later my package was scanned and good to go, which was a relief! It is a small location so please remember to practice social distancing! This location is in the same shopping center as Vons. My friend left for family emergency on 9-20-23 to Tampa Florida. She is immune compromised. Forgot her most important medication! I mailed it on Wednesday 9-23-23, before 0900. Had to send overnight shipping. Today is Friday 9-25-23, 1330, still no delivery! The package was capsules, the cashier saw this and put it in a small box. I'm extremely disappointed with their saying overnight when it "may" take 3 days. Seriously she may end up in the emergency room today!!!! Soooooooo upset, helpless and disappointed, 120.00!!! There's another nice woman that was in there, as well. Both were helpful and, again, very friendly. I needed to return merchandise, so I had them shipped from this location. Used to be my favorite neighborhood UPS even before I moved into the area. There seems to have been a change in management or ownership, because service isn't what it used to. Staff (not the old crew) is much less helpful and friendly, very slow, and sometimes demands Amazon returned items in packed boxes even though label says no packaging required for returns. A few times the girl at reception even outwardly changed her expression when she saw that I only dropped off Amazon returns. Maybe Amazon should be aware of their reluctance to accept returns? I have been going to Whole Foods for all Amazon to save time and energy. read more

They'll schedule employees before any training then they'll train them on the spot (and remotely on the phone) while you wait. Depends on who you get, sometimes they'll ask you 40 questions about your shipment and other times no questions at all. Frustrating to say the least. This has been my neighborhood UPS store since they opened. They are always helpful and responsive and treat every customer with respect, time, and courtesy. Today I had an Amazon return of several items which I was supposed to pack in one box. The items were very large and were originally shipped to me in individual boxes. When I asked if they could package them in one box, one of the two gentlemen working instantly identified the correct size of the box just by looking at my items. On December 21st I went into this UPS location with a small Xmas present needing to be sent to the Phoenix area. I made it very clear that I wanted it delivered before Xmas and would be willing to pay to make that happen. I was advised that 2nd day air would have it there by the 23rd and so I paid $32 for the service. I also made very clear that I did not want signature verification or anything that would prevent it from being dropped off. After not receiving the usual text from the recipient on Xmas I checked the tracking and discovered that it was not delivered and was scheduled for the 27th. The 27th rolled around and it was again not delivered. In the end, after I managed to track it down, the recipient had to pick it up at a UPS location in Phoenix on January 3rd! Pretty bad, huh? I ship quite a few things and have used this location often in the past so I went in to share my experience with the owner and to see if she could shed some light as to what went wrong.. As soon as I recounted the process to here she immediately became defensive and started spewing weird excuses at me. I was honestly taken aback at her posturing as I was trying to be helpful in sharing my customer experience with her. As a small business owner I know how important feedback is. My opinion of her and her business immediately changed with the confrontational tone she took with me. I mean, I am the aggrieved party and it is obvious they screwed up on their end. Not going to be pushed over, I changed my tone and asked her if she intended to make this right and refund me? She said no and basically that it was my fault. So ok, if she want's to alienate a customer and expose herself to a review like this, so be it. "Hanz" is what she told me her name is. So, Hanz, if you are reading this, would you maybe handle things differently in the future? I sure hope so, because you handled me so poorly that I felt driven to create a yelp account and leave this review. I'd encourage you to work on your customer service. Customer service is everything. My husband and I went to ship out a large box we were returning to Overstock. We had some hiccups getting the label to ship back to them. After several failed attempts to our personal email, we were able to email the shipping label to the store. Nick and Cassandra were super patient with us (right before closing). Hiring good employees that deliver good service without the bosses being there shows a lot about your store. Buyer beware, that this store will rely 100% on the UPS drivers feedback and will keep your money. I mailed a family member a Christmas package to a campground they have spent their winter months at for over 20 years, but the delivery driver said it was vacant and returned the package. I showed tags store owners the address on google, google maps, and offered to call them on speaker to prove the driver made a mistake. The owners said it was the drivers decision to return, nothing they can do, no refund or return try.
