I like going to this post office because it's very close to me and there is never really a line whenever I go. The staff probably recognizes me by now because I go so often. I love this post office. The staff are friendly and are always able to answer any questions and take as many packages as you have. They are accommodating and patient. It is a smaller post office. Went to the location for an address change form so I could start the process of changing my address! The workers tell me they don't have an address form packet at the post office! And I will have to go online. I informed the worker that I have been trying to do it online for the last month and it is not working!!! How are you a United States Post Office and you don't have address form paperwork! The worker then tells me I will have to go to a different location to get paperwork!!! Gus was very sassy & rude. I needed to mail a return, the email that I got from the company clearly stated to take it to a USPS, and that they could scan the label and take it from there. He stated they couldn't take it, was not helpful, and didn't help me understand why he could not take my package, he asked his coworker to verify and made snarky remarks. he still charged me for the tape even tho he couldn't take my package. I left very frustrated and annoyed. I took the same label and package to another USPS the next day, and they scanned it in, no problems. read more

One of the great hidden gems of Anaheim. This post office has lots of parking and barely a line. Sometimes it can be three people deep. Gus is always helpful. Clerk 06 is always inviting and remembers peoples names. Which is nice these days. I forgot her name. But the employees are always open to questions and help if need be. I love how service is fast and the employees don't try to sell you anything you don't need. This a very small location, but packed with birthday cards, gift cards, and shipping supplies which great if you need to pick up something while dropping off your packages. I come here at least once a week and even the customers are nice and welcoming. They also have PO boxes if that's something your looking for. A fantastic local neighborhood post office. read more

I love these smaller post offices, which are sadly disappearing. I've only visited once because it was on my way, but I was impressed. They weren't very busy (although I'm sure it picks up around the holidays). The person who helped me was very nice. The parking lot can be challenging though as it's shared with the rest of the strip mall and is laid out a bit weird. Several of us were jockeying to get out while another group was waiting for our spots. We finally did it, but it took some patience. read more

Second time getting passports at this location. This time for our 3 year old and 5 month old. Despite my 3 year old running around, Clerk 06 (Vivian was her name I think) treated us kindly. She was extremely helpful and thorough. We had a 9:30a appt. and we were out by 10a, passport pictures and all. Definitely recommend this location for ALL Post Office needs. read more

have been going to this small post office for decades but never thought about giving them a review. Rarely have lines and when there is, line moves fairly quick. Parking can be a challenge at times so I park on the street sometimes. Clementina, Gus, and Vivian are very helpful. I needed a passport pic so made appointment. Clementina took the pic but when processed and I had the photos, I was going to put everything together to send. Gus knew what to do and did all the final steps for me, stabling the pic to the form, making sure form was not folded in any way and put the form in the big envelope. Never had any issue whenever I go there. I read how some people felt they were treated 'badly' but I can say all three postal workers there have been friendly to me the many times I have gone there. read more

Clementina is very helpful. The other two, not so much. I have a home business and mail 6 days a week. My address is in a different zip code and my mailing program does not allow to put in their zip so they don't get credit for the sale so they give me grief when I drop off packages and get a receipt. read more

The Atwood location is one of the tiniest post offices in Orange County, with one or two cashiers at the window throughout the day. This site's hours reflect its small size; the cashier windows are open only on weekdays, and only until 4:30 p.m. (Note: The Atwood lobby closes up tight at 7 p.m. weeknights.) Those aforementioned cashiers are dependable, friendly and helpful. Thankfully, the bane of this particular site -- a dull and mean-tempered cashier who'd been here for about four years -- had apparently been shown the door a few months ago. That move was a good one, since her argumentativeness and relative incompetence seemed to drag down this great team. If you're seeking a chi-chi PO with every piece of new techology and hard-to-find postal goods, look elsewhere. That said, the Atwood site is a good choice for your everyday mailing needs. read more

I'm a bit confused by some of the negative reviews about this post office- in my experience, they have the friendliest employees. It looks like some of the issues have been less about the service at Atwood and more about the rules and regulations enforced by the US Post Office. I have been coming to this post office since 2011. Even after moving, I still come to this post office because the customer service is consistently wonderful. I tend to come in with my packages not ready because I want to know the best rate (e.g., ship from my own box, flat rate, etc). All three employees are informative, helpful, and patient. I am confused about the negative reviews on this post office as well. This post office has some of the friendliest employees I have ever encountered! Vivian (who below received a negative review) actually went above and beyond to help me! She didn't make me feel stupid when I wasn't sure why my package was returned to me and she even came out from behind the counter as I was repacking my item to make sure I did it correct. Vivian is the best she helped process my family's passports; mine, husband and my 11 month son!! She was even kind enough to take baby's passport photo. I was so happy with this post office all others open around 9 or 10 AM to process passport. This location begins at 8:30 AM which was convenient for my husband and I. This is the worst post office I have ever been in. The staff was slow and extremely RUDE. I live in another city and work here in Orange county. I had some packages I ship daily from my office. I primarily use Bulk priory packaging. Monday I was told that I could not ship my USPS packages in their office because the return address was from another city. Not only by one idiot counter person, but 2. Isn't the Placentia office part of a much larger organization called the UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE? These idiots obviously don't know who pays their salaries. The people who come in their doors paying for their services. Don't they get that? The reason for this aggressive review is because of the mean and degrading nature of the way they talk to their customers. Honestly this place is a hit or miss. Sometimes the people working are super sweet or they just act like they don't care. I've had times where I've left all happy and thankful for the person working and there have been times when I've left annoyed and frustrated, swearing I'll never come back but of course do because it's the closest one to my house. This has to be the tiniest post office I've ever seen. Their hours reflect that, too. The retail side is open M-F from 8:30ish to 4:30ish. I say "ish" because they close and lock five minutes early and usually open a few minutes late. The box lobby is 7:30ish to 5:00 PM sharp. The lines are either non-existent or out the door. (Not much middle ground...) They only open the box lobby on weekends and it's generally 7:30-10AM, No retail services. No stamp machines. Just PO Box access. The people there are super nice. This place has mailboxes and not much else. They do passports there. There are no machines to sell stamps, etc. You have to go to the retail section during limited hours. The parking lot can be a real pain. The street parking is okay. Or park in the lot far away from the place to be safe. All in all it beats a trip to the larger post offices in Placentia and Yorba Linda, so for that alone I made them "A-Ok," read more

The WORST customer service ever. I work a block over and it's convienent to take my packages there on my lunch break..but they now "refuse" to take my packages or give me receipts because my labels don't reflect there zip code. Last time I checked this is the UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE not Atwood postal service. Absolutely ridiculous. I made a complaint & went in the next day and they tried to give me there same b.s. The customer service here sucks. Go to any other post office. I was in on 9/26/17. They have no pens around for you to fill stuff out with so you have to ask for one. When I asked for one, the guy who was helping told me to make sure to give it back to him, (not in a polite manner at all), like I was going to steal it or something. I don't steal and I DEFINITELY wouldn't STEAL a measly ball point PEN when employees are right in front of me watching what I'm doing!
