I LOVE THE URBAN LEASH! Nicole and Jake are amazing with my dog (a big standard poodle). They do an in person meet and greet before they start walks with your dog, which is super helpful. They make sure to get to know all about how your dog interacts (with kids, dogs, cars, etc), and are very thorough. They are certified for CPR on pets, and are licensed and insured -- a big plus that doesn't seem very common in Boston... They take photos of your dog on walks, and at home. They also track the walks, like a fitness app, and send the route they took. Jake gives her her Greenie, tops off her food and water before leaving, and my dog is always happy afterward! You can give whatever instructions needed for them -- they can even do medication. A huge plus: they walk the dogs individually! So nice. They have VERY reasonable rates (I would honestly pay them more...), and have come for walks on weekend nights, weekday mornings and evenings, you name it. It is really nice to have a dog walker you can trust, who is super responsive and responsible. I have been scheduling about a week out, though I'm pretty sure that your could schedule a little tighter window if needed. read more

We found Urban Leash via Google on our mission to find a reputable, reliable pet-sitting service that didn't break the bank and also offered trustworthy pet care from trained and animal-loving (and experienced) staff. I've tried Rover in the past and can only compare it to a sketchy version of Uber for pet-sitting: not what's best when you're miles away from home and your little ones need reliable feedings and care time. We have since used Urban Leash for a week-long trip in January and a half-week trip in February, and will continue using their services for months and years to come, with 5 more 2019 trips planned; that's how blown-away and happy we are with just how well they treat our girls. The kitties are noticeably different and significantly happier having in-home care and love from Nicole and Jake, and the adorable text updates and pictures make our stays away VERY reassured and happy. They spend ample time playing with the girls, feeding them our requested diet, cleaning the litter box and even watering our plants when needed. My eldest cat ate one of our plants and had a bit of a vomit attack, and Nicole was quick to update me and clean as needed, without any hesitation. Truly cannot sing their praise enough, and just so happy that we found them and that they're in Back Bay.
