And no one in the family wants to even TRY clipping her nails at home, because she gets so panicked and squirmy, we're afraid of accidentally making her bleed! But we've gone twice now to the Wizard of Pawz, and the second time, she was soooo much calmer with getting her nails trimmed! Her back was shaved 2 months ago for spinal surgery, so they did a nice job of trimming the rest of her fur shorter to help it blend in. And the shorter trim on her legs (which usually look like she's wearing fluffy 80's legwarmers!) help so that her fur isn't getting tangled/matted or full of ticks when she's out in the taller grass! The staff are so sweet and friendly there -- you can tell they just adore dogs. We will be back for sure!

She always looks like I'm abandoning her on the median strip of the Mass Pike. Gentle Grooms was the 3rd groomer I tried, and I'm so thankful my friend recommended sandy to me. Sandy has a calm ,soft manner and a soothing voice. It works! No whining,crying from nervous nelly. She's wagging her tail and beautifully coiffed with bows when I arrive. I travel 35 minutes from Metro West just for the services at Gentle Grooms. It is well worth the drive.

I had a very disappointing experience with this grooming service…read more I clearly provided instructions about the areas that were allowed to be trimmed on my dog Yeiko, and I specifically did NOT authorize shaving sensitive areas such as his belly or ears. Unfortunately, those instructions were not followed and the final result was extremely upsetting. Yeiko is not only my pet, he is my emotional support dog, and seeing him returned with areas shaved that I never approved has caused me significant stress and anxiety. As a pet owner, you trust professionals to handle your animal with care and to respect the instructions you provide. Although the company later acknowledged that the grooming did not meet their own finishing standards and offered a refund, the damage has already been done and I now have to wait for his coat to grow back. I also requested verification of the training or certification of the individual who performed the grooming, which is important when trusting someone with your pet's safety and care. Pet owners deserve transparency, professionalism, and respect for their instructions. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect those standards.

This was my second time bringing my dog here. When I dropped him off, I was asked if I wanted the same haircut as last time, and I said yes. Unfortunately, what he came back with was not the same haircut. The groomer appeared to style him more like a poodle, or at least what he thought a poodle should look like. I ended up having to send him back to be fixed. I specifically asked for his tail, the top of his head, and his ears to be trimmed down. When he came back, those areas had been trimmed, but so had his beard--the feature that gives him his schnauzer look. Without it, he honestly looks more like a rat than a schnauzer. My biggest issue is the lack of communication. If the groomer was unsure about the instructions, I would have appreciated him coming out to clarify before making the cut. A quick conversation could have avoided the misunderstanding entirely. While I appreciate the convenience and customer service at the front desk, the inconsistency in the grooming itself makes me hesitant about returning.

Abby has been training my dog Travis Barker for about 8 months now. Abby runs a small shop (for now) and takes in about 5-6 dogs per day. She goes hiking, swimming, into Home Depot and other pet friendly stores, she does place work in parking lots. We wanted to Travis to be able to have positive social interactions, which was a little hard to control the environment in a dog park. Abby has been a great way to reinforce basics like heel and place, while also letting her run around with other dogs we trust. Abby is also so great at taking lots of videos and pictures that she shares with you at the end of the day. She will show you what to work on during the week and what she was working on with them.
