My pupper doesn't mind going to Urban Paw at all. They're nice folks and seem to be pretty flexible with scheduling.

Love the urban paw!!! They have done some amazing grooms to my doodle! I need to take a before & after pic. He is always so happy to be clean when he leaves there. & he loves being out all day playing with the other dogs! Highly recommend them, we do not go anywhere else!

I'm notoriously picky, but my Remy came out happy and looked perfect. They even gave her a bow tie. It's my first time here and it quickly became obvious how knowledgeable and caring the staff are. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a groomer that has very high standards. (And I genuinely appreciated that they didn't use some awful perfume on her.)

I have an older dog with arthritis. He doesn't growl at people. Well, once at an ambulance man as…read morehe thought he was going to hurt his mom. He is large with long hair. It Now takes him two days to groom as he can't stand long enough through one session. That being said, he is a gentle giant. I took my dog two times to Priyanka. The first time, my husband took him. When he got home his spine was all red like he has been combed with a rake. The second time, I took him. When he arrived, he didn't have his collar on as he listens to me. He got out of the car and started for the street. I told him to come back and he did. We were trying to get him in via garage door. Then he ran up the front steps and tried hiding in a corner which is impossible to say the least. I called him and he came. I said go in and he did. We get into her work area and is anxious. He is not an anxious dog. He is a laid back baby that's afraid of lightning and rain. She tries to brush with a lead, on the foot and not the table due to his legs, and he was twisting the cord and bucking like a bronco to get out of the slip cord. She put a soft cone on him (wait, what?) and I hold him. I had told her not to use a Furminater on him as it cuts the hair. She has a rake to brush him. It is stainless steel and has teeth like this...\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ Only bigger teeth. She is raking across his side so fast and he is snarling like a mad dog. Not barking, snarling and snapping trying to get her (to stop probably. This is a dog that is around all ages of children from 20 to 5 currently but they younger ones were born after he was grown. You could put the baby on a blanket and he walk around the blanket. When I say gentle giant, I mean it. She is raking so fast I can't even wrap my brain around her actions to my dogs and his reaction. We agreed he had enough. I just took him home telling him I was so sorry the whole way. She talked as fast as possible as she was talking when he was being chopped. We had paid $200 for brush out and bath. When I told her, she should have used a slicker brush on him, well she knew better. I groom him. I have my own groomer table, extra wide, all the tools and a blower dry or cool. I've been doing him for years. I just couldn't do him because I had fallen and really hurt myself. I was shocked. CONfounded. I did have him groomed when he was growing up from a puppy so he would be used to a groomer. I didn't take over until he got older. He was trained on a dog ramp to get him on the table. I gave him treats throughout the groom. He loved it. I let him lay down when he wanted. He long hair and an undercoat. His coat is like a collie. He blows coat twice a year like a collie. I had collies for years. I know how to brush out a dog and remove the fall/winter undercoat so the spring /summer coat can come in. I'm giving so much information and details as I would never send a dog to this woman. She herself should have stopped immediately as soon as he was snarling at her. Where is her ability to read a dog's cues. The arrival seems odd, almost funny. I didn't realize she had already treated him live crap on the first groom that my husband left him there, as you do with a professional groomer. I stayed because I could tell he was anxious to go into her house. Like I said, he is. not an anxious dog, but for a thunderstorm. I feel ashamed that I didn't turn around right then as I should have picked up on his body language. He screamed, "Don't make me go in there?" and I thought he was just being shy as he didn't know her. Only a crazed groomer would tear at a dog's coat with utter abandon while the dog is fighting for his freedom to get away from them. And to my shame I let her for any time when I should have stopped immediately. Maybe she would be good for smaller dogs. She only got three feet the first time and only three of his feed were shaved. He touchy about his feet because a groomer cut he nails to short till he bled. I just figured he gave her the "lift away" foot treatment. I feel like I'm rambling because just writing this down is making me upset again. I will not recommend her even for small dogs. I don't think she cares about the dog she is grooming. She couldn't and work on my dog the way she did. It was violent. It was an assault. I hate the thought of what she did when my husband took him and there wasn't anybody there to see what she was doing. Beware. If you choose to use her, stay with your dog. I WOULD GIVE HER A MINUS STAR IF I COULD.
