This place is not up front about what it actually is, it is NOT AN URGENT CARE. This is a stand-alone emergency room. If you need something simple, an urgent care is much cheaper. The Urgency Room will charge at least 2x the amount of an urgent care because they are an emergency room. Edit: Biggest cost savings if you use this facility as an alternative to an ER? Please be clear with your statements - if you use this facility as an urgent care, there are no cost savings, correct? If you use this facility in lieu of an attached ER, there are cost savings. Correct me if I am wrong, but the problem is that you are drawing customers through advertising who need urgent care treatment, not solely ER treatment. And those customers pay over 3x more for urgent care treatment than if they went to an urgent care center. This may be a great cost-effective way for patients who need emergency room-type treatment, but the advertising is not clear that it is NOT an urgent care facility and in fact will cost more for urgent care treatments than other facilities that specialize in urgent care only. read more

I was not looking to get assistance in any medical way. I am not from the area, I knew my destination was close...But I had gotten lost. I asked the lady at the front desk if she knew the address to this building. I was expecting a simple.."No, I'm sorry.." Or a "Yes, It's ____" Instead, the lady just shook her head at me, no eye contact...I then asked, "Okay, do you happen to know where 3000 Denmark Ave is located?" She didn't even look up at me and replies with a snotty tone "Nope. I don't." At that point I was fed up with the unnecessary rudeness. "Okay. Very helpful..thanks" And I began to walk out. She pipes up and says.."*ugh* I'm looking it up for you..." No, I'm sorry...I didn't know I was such a burden on you. I'll take my questions across the street. Don't like your job? Just came in there with a sick child and the first thing that Jaimie the front desk receptionist says to me is it's a 45 minute wait you might want to go somewhere else. I asked them if they triaged she said no I then told her she was being very rude! Another receptionist started yelling at us from four chairs away telling us nobody triage at urgent care and doesn't matter if it's a child. I asked to speak with a manager and Jaimie told me they don't have a manager then they asked us to leave! Even though I have a super sick child! They had a male nurse come out and export us out!! I have never been so disrespected in my life and my family comes to this clinic often with our children! I will never bring my children back to this clinic ever again they are so disrespectful and unprofessional it's mind blowing! read more

Love this place. Quick check-in, kind and attentive staff, and they have this one medic with a beard and beautiful eyes who is FOINE. I was in and out within 30 minutes with my otitis externa diagnosis and antibiotic eardrop prescription in hand. I visited The Urgency Room on 2 separate occasions while living in Eagan, both for my kids. The second visit was at 9:30pm, and I felt horrible as it was only 1/2 before they close - however we were treated as if they had all the time in the world to spend on my son. We were given a bottle of water and staff did all they could to ensure my sons comfort. I cannot say enough good things about The Urgency Room - our insurance does not cover the cost of the visit but it's well worth it to me to spend a little extra and leave knowing my family has had the care that puts us at ease and makes my little ones comfortable. read more

Awesome! No way will I go to the ER if this place is open. Walked in, filled out paper work and was taken straight back to a room. Within minutes doctor was in room and checking son over...tested for strep and looked at his little ears. Strep test came back within minutes and we were taken care of and out the door in less than 30 mins!!!!! Staff was super friendly. Place was super clean and welcoming...they were awesome with my little one as well. Blown away! Def recommend!!!!! read more

My sister was visiting, and her eye was bothering her. She wanted to wait until she got home, but it was getting worse so we decided to stop in. The whole visit took a half-hour and everyone was very friendly and informative. They diagnosed her and provided her a prescription on the spot as well. I went in with a horrible cough and cold and was seen within 5 minutes of my arrival by a nurse and then the doctor came in immediately after. I think the whole appointment took me a max of 15 minutes from arrival to out the door. The staff was all very professional and very nice. read more

Unfortunately, my fiancé and I have both had to come into the Urgency Room over the past few years. Fortunately, however, the nurses and doctors at Urgency Room are amazing. They have taken excellent care of us all three times we've had to come in, and do so with a very friendly face. I have seen the staff here work with adults, the elderly, children, and worried parents with the same patience and kindness across the board. Whether you have a cough or a broken arm, I would highly recommend the Urgency Room. read more

Was here for forever. Over three hours to get a flu and UTI results. Was told it be 20 mins. It's been over two hours of waiting for the "results." My pregnant gf also had to do a IV which we were told would take only 30 mins. It's pushing an hour and a half. They don't check on us and there isn't even anyone around to tell that the IV has been done for the past twenty minutes. I might also add.... it's not busy at all. I and my kids have been to the Urgency Room in Eagan for stitches, bee stings, sinus infections you name it. Doctors and staff are excellent. Wait time is generally minimal. For most ailments, I would go here rather than our normal clinic everytime. read more

Unfortunately I have to write this review to remind everyone who want to come and visit this clinic - please think twice because the doctor didn't do anything for me in a Sunday visit last year and I am still suffering the consequences from that irresponsible Doctor. I had a very bad cough and ask the doctor check my blood to see what ( bacteria or virus ) cause my deep productive bloodish /brownish sputum. He refused me many times in that visit that rainy day. So... When I saw my regular doctor in couple days later, my most revered doctor and professor Susan Kline in U of M, the timing was kind of late. I can not clear my lungs after more than 5 weeks of antibiotics. My lungs was full of infection caused phlegm. I went to mayo clinic but after few visit, I realized they were not able to help me much as well! So..., I went back to Susan, she tried her best to help out but she just not able to identify the pathogen! My lungs feels like two big bags of water and chest was in pain and suffocating! Out of desperation, I went to visit the professor Dr Sean in northwestern university because he was trained both in western and oriental medication! After taking those bitter raw Chinese herbs, I coughed up a lots of black particles and had low fevers more than a week. Finally I am on the right track to recover. You can see the difference in the CT scan. One doctor told me that I was very lucky because professor Sean told her that he was not able to save me if I came to visit him in a month later! If the urgency room doctor do not check patient 's blood, then how can they know what people get infected with. It is their responsibility to check patient 's blood counts and prescribe medication. If they do not perform those things according to the color of sputum, why they get paid? Those irresponsible doctor kills patient without knife! Do they have conscious? Do they have basic moral standard? Can they sleep in night especially patient beg them to check the blood counts. You have better chance to cure your disease with Professor Susan Kline, David Ingbar and My life savor professor Sean Yu! In U of M emergency room, their Doctors were more caring too! If you have any doubt about my story, I can give all my photos about this awful infection did to me from last May to present time. Have a better choice since we only have one life. In the U of M and mayo, they work as a team so you have better chance to survive if something goes wrong or you have something medically interesting! For better health! I have brought my family here several times and we absolutely love it. We were just there on Tuesday my daughter was complaining of a stomach ache. They did all the right test to confirm it was a appendicitis. They called children's hospital over and over to get us a room there. When we got to Childrens they were happy with the care that my daughter received from the urgency room. They said that the iv they put in was up to their standards. They loved that they sent over all the ultra sounds pictures, the disk and all the mess that she received while there. I was very pleased with the care that we got there and will continue to go back and recommend to friends! Thanks for taking such good care of my 5yo daughter!! read more

I was worried about a possible blood clot in my leg. Reception was great. Ultrasound was great. Doctor was great. So glad I chose to go here instead of the ER and pay an arm and a leg to sit there for hours on end. My family will definitely go back. read more

I went to the Urgency Room because I believed I was having an early term miscarriage. I was very disappointed by the care I received here. The doctor came in and asked a few questions, and told me what kind of testing he wanted to do to get a diagnosis. He says he wants a urine sample before we do any blood work. He left, then a pathologist (I believe) comes in with a blood drawing kit and as she's setting up she says "the urine test we did says you're not pregnant". I say "what are you talking about? I didn't give a urine sample!" (keep in mind, the doctor didn't order blood work either). She's all confused, and as she's poking at me (took more than one try and I have huge visible veins) she says "hmm, I must be thinking of someone else. I just overheard them talking about a negative pregnancy test". Really? You overhear doctors talking and take the liberty to deliver the news to the patient, and it isn't even the right person? Not to mention to HIPA violation, here... Giving me someone else's test results! She proceeded to take 4 vials of blood, which I believe she was meant to draw from someone else. She held the needle in with her bare finger she had poked through the glove. BARE FINGER. Then she starts asking me a bunch of questions the doctor just asked. No reason she needed to ask me anything, she was just there to draw blood. Next, I had a pelvic ultrasound. The technician was male, so he said he would be having a female sit in with us. In walks this girl, who I don't even know if she worked there because she was in street clothes, and while I'm in this painful, vulnerable state she tries to make small talk. "So... How was your Labor Day weekend?" I just looked at her like "you have to be kidding me, go away." At the end if the visit, the doc finally gives me a diagnosis. He couldn't have cared less, treated me incredulously, and did all but roll his eyes at me. I wasted 5 hours there, and didn't get any help - just an uncomfortable experience all together. The staff were so uncaring, and seemed like they just couldn't wait to get to happy hour or something. This place sucks. read more

I had an amazing experience here when I needed to bring my Grandson to be evaluated. Before I even arrived the staff had contacted my daughter for permission to treat her baby and they had looked up all insurance information. The front desk staff went way above and beyond. The lobby was spotless and they have games and activities to help distract the children. What could have been a stressful situation became simple and comforting due to the staff. Our nurse (sorry, forgot his name... Michael?Matthew?) was so laid back and GREAT with little ones and our Doctor Todd Joing was the best. So calm, comforting and certainly charming and charismatic! Very thorough and knowledgeable. Seriously, the best care anywhere. I will return there before any ED or Urgent Care. As I have told others about my experience I have had so many people tell me how they too have had unbelievably amazing experiences. They really have this figured out. Hopefully they will expand their locations so more can have access. read more

Went to the Urgency Room for a standard strep test for my daughter. There was 2 cars in the parking lot and zero people in the waiting room. We were led to a room quickly, but we waited nearly 45 minutes for a doctor to come to the room. Insurance covered the $29 test. Urgency Room charged me another $380 for being a "new patient." This of course was NOT covered by insurance. There was no mention when I checked in that they have this HUGE fee for just walking in the door for the first time. I could have gone many other places for this cheap, quick test. I had heard good things about them and went due to location. In emailing with them about the fee/bill and having to make payments, their emails come encrypted so I can only read them on my laptop. It took a couple days for me to get time to read - and the emails delete their content after 7 days!! so our communication was lost. They sent me to collections despite my making small monthly payments. The fee was astronomical, not mentioned upfront, and they were impossible to communicate with. I would never darken their door again - for any reason. I do not recommend them unless you like having random, pointless non medical fees added on to pad their pocketbooks that insurance will not cover at all. read more

On 13 Sep 2016 I called 651-789-9900 at 4:56pm to find out information on about a surgical procedure on removing or drain a cyst if it was needed. I let the automated system play its course to where I could press a number to reach the dept that i needed to talk to someone who could answer my question. I wait on the line to speak to someone then A woman came on the line and I asked the question about maybe having a growth and that I wanted it removed. I wanted to know specifically if it were possible to have it removed there because i am in pain and didn't want to wait for the next day due to the pain that i am experiencing. A woman came on the line and i asked her my question and she confidently answered my question saying yes that they will be able to drain or remove it depending on what the dr suggested. At about 7pm I walked in to front desk I got ask for my id and insurance. I said that I don't have insurance and immediately the the fat,horribly bleached blonde hair woman was rude about not having I insurance and rudely stated that I need the 300 dollars up front In order for the dr to see you or need to have insurance. because I am desperate to have the dr see me and remove the growth, because of the pain that i am experiencing i decided to use a credit card. After I gave her my credit card which I was stupid enough to do. She swiped once and it didn't go through so she got ugly with me about it. She then said the magnetic strip was warn and asked if it were ok to enter the information manually I replied with it being ok. I then asked if she would have to enter the 3 digits on the back she said yes, so I walked up to hand her the clip board because I too also scratch the 3 digits off so that no one other than I could use it since I have the card numbers memorize. The first time she ran the card it didn't go through and told me that it was not approved so she slightly apologized and was rude about it not going through. I was then ready to hand her the clipboard back to leave and she hand me my DL, credit card because she then tried it a second time. she said it was approved. I was never worried about it being approved because my credit cards has 0 balance. After it was approved she immediately changed her personality towards me and asked me for the clipboard and I said I didn't fill it out because I figured that the card would decline because she needed my 3 digits on the back. She made a comment along with, oh it's ok I understand. I found it so offensive weather she meant it to make herself feel empathic towards me or not. Also I saw no dr. It was a nurse practitioner that came into the room and after seeing me, examining my arm and asking questions and didn't seem to be concerned about how i felt with having body aches and losing consciousness because of the weakness i have going on with my body. She said it may be a cyst and that they don't do any procedures of type to help me. I immediately started to tear up because I just blew 350 dollars on something I already knew I was dealing with along with wasting my time which i was trying to not do. I specifically called to explain and what I was looking for and wanted done. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! read more

I have been to the Eagan location 4 times and also brought my son there, we have always had great care and the staff was always friendly and never violated our privacy. My Niece goes there often and she has a severe traumatic brain injury from a car accident and is in a wheel chair. Most other clinics would treat her more as a pain and shove her out the door! The Urgency Room has been so good to her I would like to thank them for their great care when she comes in! read more

I went around 9 at night and there was no doctor on staff. There were maybe 2 people there other than me and I was there for over 3 hours. I had a stone in my throat and it was so large and infected that it was pressing on my throat and I couldn't eat or swallow and it was extremely painful. I was told that I had a stone (I knew that) and that they were unable to help me and was given a referral to an ENT and was told they would take me the next day. I asked if they could call in a referral for me to make sure I could get in because I was in so much pain and they stated it wouldn't be an issue and they for sure would see me first thing the next day. Well of course I called that next morning and was told it would be 2 weeks or longer before I could be seen. Obviously in my condition I couldn't wait this long to be seen. I was very surprised when I got a bill FOR ONE THOUSAND AND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. THat's right $1500!!!! this is supposed to be cheaper than an ER. You are going to charge me $1500 to not treat me and send me somewhere who couldn't even help me and I had to call around and find my own place who could take me in a few days. This place did absolutely nothing for me. I also got a separate bill from a radiologist who charged me a hundreds more on top of that. I had deductible only insurance so I had to pay the full price of this bill. I even told them that going in that I needed to be conscious of the cost due to this fact and was told don't worry. I had to go to an ENT who charged me $800. So I had to pay a total of $2500!!! HOw is it that it costs less for the doctor to actually remove the stone and fix my problem than for the UR to just tell me they couldn't help me. I filed a complaint and was told that my file was reviewed and that I received adequate care and the cost was comparable. I am sorry but cost for what services? You didn't do anything for me. BUYER BEWARE!!! surpise bills!!! If you are going in for a runny nose or something very simple okay maybe they can help you. Also if you have regular copay insurance you may not care about the costs but if you are like me and have deductible only insurance do not go here or you will be sorry like me. read more
