I spoke to a supervisor and I asked her if I would have come in and not used my insurance, would it have been cheaper? Her reply was, you have to get the price before the services are performed. These doctors and hospitals are literally gouging the customers, and then the insurance companies are sticking it to us. Be aware of this place because this is how they handle business. Today was a miss for me. You literally just stand there while waiting for someone to stop ignoring you even though they are looking right at you. *shrugs* Just watch out for the girl that throws the clipboard, you might catch her in a super bad mood one day and get the wrong end of the clipboard. If the front office doesn't scare you away, come to see Dr. Vu. He is a really nice guy and has a nice bedside manner. So no be afraid of asking him questions. I completed an online appointment request and a NOLA Doc nurse promptly contacted my wife by phone early the next morning. An appointment with Dr. Berenson was made for 9:00 AM and he was right on time. He spent approximately 45 minutes speaking with my wife and getting to the root of the problem. Dr. Berenson was calming and at no point did my wife feel rushed. He provided much useful information and he patiently answered every question. He provided two prescriptions for pickup at a nearby pharmacy and even offered to speak to our primary care physician back home if required. Dr. Berenson was comforting and effective during a frightening time far from home. I highly recommend him.

I couldn't swallow, my throat was on fire, I had fevers, headaches, stiff neck, etc.. and the doctor checked my throat and said verbatim, "It's not red, so you shouldn't be in any pain." They diagnosed me with a double ear infection and ordered me antibiotics, and sent me on my way. I ended up having to go to the hospital, where they said there I never had an ear infection, and my sickness was far more serious. I was treated like someone who they just wanted to get out of their hair, and like I was faking my symptoms. They tested me for Covid. Flu, and Strep, the doctor never came back, and the nurse gave me my papers and told me I was done. Even if they couldn't have done anything for me, their medical care "professionals" should be able to distinguish the difference between a serious infection worth hospitalization, and an ear infection that I never had. Absolutely horrible doctor and the nurses are extremely rude. Do not come to this urgent care if you are looking for help, because they will not help you, and they will misdiagnosis you to the point of hospitalization.
