The doctor's are great at what they do, but the communication is HORRIBLE. I had a ureteroscopy last week and after the procedure, nobody talked to me. A doctor didn't come in and tell me about after care, medication, nothing. I literally had to figure it all out myself by going on Reddit. And I don't think this is some freak occurrence either. When I called later that day and told them that nobody talked to me after the surgery, they weren't surprised or apologetic. A receptionist just told me that they'd "send a message" and told me to use a heating pad. At this point, I've given up on talking to a doctor about anything, but unfortunately I need to schedule another appointment to get a stent removed. This has also been an absolute nightmare. I've called at least once a day every day since the surgery to try to get the removal scheduled, but nobody is able to get a hold of a scheduler I guess. Finally after some pushing, I was able to get the direct line for a scheduler and was able to leave a message, but still no luck on scheduling the actual procedure. If you are able to, please go literally anywhere else if you need any kind of follow up appointment. ESPECIALLY a stent removal. The stents are painful and it's pretty much impossible to do anything while having one in, so getting it out in a timely manner is very important. I have never felt so ignored and dismissed by a medical professional in my life and I hate that I didn't read any reviews before going through The Urology Group for my surgery. read more

If you have prostate cancer and decide to have radiation treatment and you want to wait 6 months after your decision to get treatment then this is your place. If you have any degree of urgency go somewhere else. They do not tell you it will take this long. But I had to wait 3 months to see the radiation oncologist. Then a month for this followed by two months for that. They will not schedule the next step until after you wait months for an appointment for the first step. The doctors are fine there is not enough of them for the volume of patients. Support staff for scheduling never, ever pick up the phone. They return a call only once. If you miss their call back then it is days before they call back again. The whole opperation is too few staff for too many patients. read more

He was scheduled at 4 they called us that morning and wanted us to come in at 11. After driving an hour to get there they finally got us in at noon after dealing with incompent staff that didnt even have us down for the time change. They called earler that morning to see about the diarrhea he had a few days earlier they said it should be ok. When they called him in they told him that it wasnt ok and they canceled his procedure. So we had to go back to the desk and get refunded. It was very irritating that they wasted 2 hours of our time ..poor customer service and very unprofessional! read more

It's a nightmare trying to contact the doctors there or to get their staff to call back. Unfortunately most all the urologists in Cincinnati seem to be associated with the group. The practice seems to be set up to maximize their income and minimize patient satisfaction. read more

I had the greatest Doc for years then he just retired so I went to Dr. Fulton big mistake I should've known when the nurse couldn't hit my vein for an IV then upon meeting the dr.for the first time minutes before a biopsy he blew me off.I should have left then then the next thing I know I am in recovery and the nurse a different one then the other said are you ok to stand so we can get you ready to go home and I said yes I'm good and as I stood the largest clot and blood poured out of my rectum like a fountain they laid me back down and the blood kept coming the nurses scrambled to find the doc but he had left then upon meeting building and the got Dr.Delworth who went above and beyond to try and help me.Long story short I was rushed to Bethesda north (code blue) 3units of blood an emergency colonoscopy and the rest is history,never got an apology from Dr.Fulton read more

We went to the Eastgate location, front desk customer service is horrible, lack of communication in office and lack of communication throughout the whole group no one is one the same page. Billing is an absolute nightmare. Had a vasectomy had to pay for service the day of service, did have conformation and statement to show. Still calling me for payment as they dont show it in their system as paid even showing them my statement with the dollar value and the name of their company. Has been going on over two weeks now and nothing has been resolved on their end just keep getting i will get a call back once its handle. The only call I am getting is I owe on an account (that has already been paid for). I highly recommend going to a different urologist, unless you are looking for a billing nightmare. read more

The patient scheduler refused to book an appointment for my husband without his social security number or insurance number. I didn't have that information on me but regardless it's unheard of to refuse a booking without that information. When I asked her what if we didn't have insurance? You still have to book the appointment. She got angry, yelled over me and hung up on me! Lol that was the most unprofessional person I've ever spoken to. I emailed the company and they sent me a generic response from a no-reply email. That is extremely embarrassing for the whole business. read more

my experience was a positive one . they were on time and a friendly staff. They do not return phone calls and the doctors have little to no compassion. I had higher then normal psa numbers and instead of stopping meds they increased the dose then when you come back tell you you'll need a series of test and then you find out the test they run are not the most up-to-date. read more

Charged my daughter who is in her late 20s $450 for an office visit with a nurse practitioner who spent less than five minutes with her. Wanted my daughter to get ultrasound but daughter unable to do so due to cost. She has insurance through her employer that carries a very high deductible so all of the costs were out of pocket. It took her months to pay down this office visit bill. They turned her over to collections, who hounded her, when she had to skip a few months payments. Ridiculous charge for a five minute office visit that wasn't even with a doctor. Highway robbery. Now a year later she still has the same bladder issue and will have to find another doctor to help her. Avoid this group because for them it's not about you it's about the money and they show no mercy.. read more

Dr. Fulton has no compassion and is borderline narcissistic. Walking into a room and judging one based off insurance and color is insane! I would rather suffer than be in the care of Dr. Fulton. Lyndsay his nurse practitioner is by far misguided and a complete joke. Professionalism from both of them lacks. This urologist literally told me I want him to do a surgery for free because I didn't agree to the outlandish surgery cost even with insurance. The NP told me I came to the ER to avoid paying for surgery which is typical of my type. Healthcare workers such as these two are partially why people are disgusted by this healthcare system. The discrimination felt in this setting was unreal. I'd never refer anyone to this office. Not even my worst enemy! Terrible! read more

If you ever need to have surgery done you should plan on being indebted to them for life. Was charged twice for the same bill and even after providing proof it was paid, wrote a letter with receipts attached, and contacted billing multiple times, I was sent a letter stating I was going to be sent to collections if I didn't pay. So I was forced to pay twice for my procedure. Absolutely shameful and dishonest. If you can find another option take it! read more

Thank you all for taking such good care of me during the month of March of 2021. It is never easy hearing that you have cancer, but from Dr. Shey, to Dr. Levick, to Dr. Malik, to Dr. Fried, I was comforted with their vast knowledge and positive attitudes on treating me and explaining everything with such detail. I was never in doubt that I would just be a number and a nameless patient. I also must say that Heather and Becky who ran the CyberKnife for my treatment were such exceptional, professional, and friendly women, I will miss them. It made coming in and getting treated a joy and not a burden. I was impressed with everyone at the Urology Group in Cincinnati. Everyone seemed to enjoy working there. Biggest bunch of extortionist I have ever encountered. They put on a 30% charge if your bill is not paid in 30 days. I paid them in full in 45 days and they sent me to collections for their 30% finance charge. Sad part is the insurance paid in 36 days. I paid the balance in 45. Dropped off my bf this afternoon at The Urology Group in Norwood. Came back to pick him up and decided to go inside to wait. I was stopped by the male behind behind the desk who had a very rude demeanor. He took my temp and then said, and this is verbatim, "just stay over there". I sat down to wait. I saw that he had a stuffed animal, a fox and thought it a little odd. I asked if that was his doll. He said yes, he said the stuffy was his eyes and ears. I asked if the doll had a name and he replied "McAllister". He said he could not tell me the story behind the name. I thought okay. He told me he lived in Ross, Ohio and they had lots of foxes. I asked if he had coyotes, he said that's a given. I told him I had coyotes and I lived by UC. I told him the fire engine sirens got the coyotes whipped up and they would howl. He said if you see a coyote in the daytime there is something wrong with it and you should shoot it. I said city ordinances do not allow a person to discharge a firearm within city limits. He said, "I have a concealed carry permit which allows me to carry a gun 24/7 and I can shoot it wherever I want". I said not within the limits of the city of Cincinnati. I asked him if his employer, which contractually would be The Urology Group, allowed him to carry his gun to work and he replied, "yes, I am the same as a police officer". At this point he turned his back on me and would no longer engage in our conversation. At this point I felt intimidated. He had a gun and I didn't. He was clearly agitated and I could see he did not like the fact that a woman refuted what he said. Then I started to wonder why The Urology Group would have an armed security guard, who thinks he is a police officer, at a front desk dealing with patients and their families. As a result of this we will never deal with The Urology Group again. We both see doctors on a regular basis and none of them have armed individuals with mental health issues greeting patients.
