I was incredibly impressed with everyone working at The Vacuum Store. They were knowledgeable and very helpful when I went in to have my Electrolux vacuum repaired and also were super honest when it came to what I thought was a broken power head. It turned out I just hadn't pressed the reset button and they didn't charge me for the visit to the store. The other times I went in to have my vacuum serviced I found their repair pricing was very reasonable. I was very happy with their service And recommend them highly. read more

The service is great ! John and his son did everything they could to obtain a part for a Dyson dust buster. Dyson never did follow through, but John made a great suggestion that kept the unit functioning. Support local business, especially when the team provides service with a smile. read more

I stopped doing business with them. The owner tries to be funny but comes over a bit curt. Although my next experience does not involve the store, it involves the owner. Coming off one of Keene's rotaries, I noticed him in his store vehicle speeding along side me and cutting into my lane simply because he got into the wrong turn lane and wanted to beat my car. I flashed my lights and went around him and as I turned he had the gall to give me the finger - in a vehicle that had his store name plastered all over it! What an idiot. I don't understand some of the bad reviews as I have send all my vacuums here to be repaired---best place in the country and the only place where they don't try to keep selling you a new vacuum---also The Hobbs are so nice to deal with---they really appreciate good vacuums and will even repair 50 year old Electrolux Vacuums. I went there to return some vacuum bags I had gotten that were too small. I got yelled at for opening them. The man got me the right one. Charging me $2.00 more. I went to my car to see where he came to that only to go back in to explain my findings. At this point, he used the f...bomb while swearing and yelling at me. Took $2.00 out of his pocket told me to take it, leave never return. He said he was going to call the police I told him to go ahead. I have never been treated like that ever! He was so rude! Hope the man who owns that business realizes that this man doesn't answer the phone as it was ringing and he refused to answer it! Bad place to do business! read more

Needing a vacuum, I went to this shop, hoping for more than the cold chain stores. I told the clerk I needed a vacuum to handle a household with two long hair cats. A Riccar Pizzazz was recommended to me and I bought it (over $400). This was about 3 yrs ago. This vacuum is awful!! It has a power head that the cat fur wraps around and needs to be cleaned EVERY time its used or the head stops spinning. I slogged through, using it and cleaning that head until after a few years the head was completely fried. I brought the head in for repair. The owner is more concerned with being some kind of a comedian than providing decent service. He had the head a week, I called and he had no idea about its status or cost of repairing it. I called in another week and another guy began lecturing me on how the head has to be cleaned regularly. DON'T EVEN!!! As I said, it has a mechanism that shuts it off when its bogged down by hair (which takes about 10 revolutions!) so you can't NOT clean it constantly!! They've had it two weeks already and I still haven't gotten any information about status or cost. Service in this store STINKS. If you want a stand up comic - go on in. But if you want a decent product or good service - go somewhere else! read more

The worse customer service, misled facts about products sold there, was not a pleasant experience, if you are looking to get hosed by poor service and products this is the place for you to buy or repair your vacuum. I would never recommend this business to anyone. read more

We went to this store expecting great CS and products. The owner was very nice, but sold us a piece of junk for 700.00. He promised us that the Riccar Charisma was a "20 year vacuum" - well, 20 MINUTES into my 1st use of it, the power head threw off a piece of plastic that became mangled in the head, stopping it in it's tracks. No, the piece was NOT a part of the packaging - it was a part of the head. Restarting the power head was a treat as well - better have a ball point pen handy, as the reset button is not compressable by human fingers. We went back to the store to have them replace the plastic strip only to find them closed at 10:30 on a Saturday in June - when their hours clearly said that they opened at 10:00. We went back a couple of weeks later, and someone (not the owner) took the head and the mangled strip into a back room and actually put the mangled strip back into the head. It fell out immediately - we were then told that the vacuum didn't need it to run. Other issues we have had with the vacuum: the "bag full" light has never worked, from day one. The HEPA "filter" is nothing more than a piece of foam behind an ill-fitting plastic grid that is impossible to get back on correctly after you have cleaned the "filter". The cord rewind needs to be babied back into the machine by hand. The bags hold very little and are hugly expensive. I would think that perhaps our cleaner is a lemon, but we know of other people who have bought this make and model and have had nothing but trouble with it. Don't expect a sympathetic ear from The Vacuum Store. It makes me see red when I see the ads they run that say "Don't get hosed!"... We sure did, and are now in the process of installing a central vac system. read more
