I think it was about 15 min. Fun vibe & good energy inside with neat art work! Staff is friendly. Menu has something for everyone! Mini pancakes, benny, French toast, chicken & waffles and several different toasts (think avocado or cacio e Pepe!) and smoothies. If you like specialty coffees, you are in for a treat since they have a fun option for a mini coffee flight! They also have a kids menu!

Entry is a single door with a ramp on the inside. Servers were quick to seat my friend and I. Service was polite and timely. We both ordered our own "Teenage Feast" which included Two eggs prepared to your taste, thick cut bacon, sausage, choice of toast, served with dutch mini pancakes, butter parsley home fries / salad or half & half. I opted for scrambled eggs, home fries, and rye (they also had sourdough as an option!) The meal was very filling, could definitely be shared between two peckish people or saved as left overs for later. Meal has a blend of sweet and savoury, leaning more on the sweet side. The sausage is sweeter than others (I enjoy this but I know it's not for everyone. The Dutch pancakes are so cute and little, coated in icing sugar, and served with maple syrup on the side to dip. For drinks I ordered the Maple Foam Cold Brew. Make sure to stir/not put your straw at the bottom of the drink or you'll get a hit of maple! Once it's stirred it tastes great. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu (I'm eyeing the coffee flights)!

You enter in to see clean, modern aesthetic cafe vibes and a rack of freshly baked sourdough from Dear Grain. The cafe connects to its outdoor seating area and feels a bit like a secret garden. There's a variety of baked goods, food, and drinks to choose from. Their espresso tends to be on the mellower side - I think it's a medium body, mild & balanced, and pairs well with milk. If you're into pour overs, Detour has an incredible selection of their own coffee bean roasts. Not a coffee fan? No problem. I also recommend this spot to pick up the best artisan style sourdough I've had in this area (if you're not close to Dear Grain Commissary in downtown Hamilton). Crunchy crust and the softest sourdough inside. Perfect for a fancy sandwich or to add to a charcuterie board! You won't regret it.

We were told this was a good restaurant to try. Deplorable planning of staff. We arrived at 6 pm. and didn't receive our food until after 7:30. They messed up further because one person's food order was missed. What owner of a restaurant doesn't call in more staff, there was only one chef! The food was okay, nothing great! The server tried her best, but it wasn't good enough. I suggested free dessert, due to the aggravation. She hesitated and then did give us free dessert. 20 % gratuities were added to our bill. A further insult to the evening. 10% or 15% would have been more deserving. We usually give 15% but this was undeserving. The owner's may have been away, or too busy to correct this situation. Will not return again.

Looked more like a pub fare menu but at fine dining prices. My meal was their "Nashville Southern Dinner": consisted of 3 (mini) pieces of battered deep fried chicken breast,( over-fried and dried out), and Mac N Cheese (zoodles pasta...you know...something you'd give a kid for lunch) in a scant amount of sauce (like watery "CheezWhiz), and a few pickle slices on the side, all for the high end fine dining price of $29 and a 6oz glass of poor quality Reisling for $19. I couldn't force myself to finish eating it. Sub-standard, poor quality, served barely warm food. They ought to be embarrassed. I made a strong point of insisting the server send my sentiments to the (so-called) cook. Betula is an embarrassment to my hometown! I wouldn't recommend and I will never return. The food is really good however, both in presentation and taste. Service wise, the staff was very friendly and polite, although there was a 20 ish minute wait for a seat for 2 and another 25 minute wait to get the food. Granted we did go on a Sunday at 11 am so it was probably the busiest time of the week and the kitchen is perhaps on the smaller side. The ambiance itself is pretty homey, street parking isn't too hard to find. They sell some near merch and also source bread locally from a bakery nearby. Their patio was closed in the winter but definitely seems like a great spot in the summer. Overall, I enjoyed the place. The lack of non pork protein options keeps me away, but should that change, I'd like to revisit the patio in the summer. Should the protein options expand and wait times be reduced on my next visit, I'll be sure to update my review!

Bonus points for serving the surrounding neighborhood - very convenient, needed, reliably fresh and delicious.

This was my first time trying ube, and I really enjoyed it! It's similar to taro but less starchy, and it has a slight savouriness to it that complemented the syrup and whipped cream on the French toast so well. The braised short rib was incredibly tender, and that cheddar biscuit - WOW. Literally was wiping my plate clean of the egg yolk & hollandaise sauce with them. Service was friendly & attentive even though there was only one server. What really made this experience special was the ambiance - warm lighting, and modern bar decor pieces juxtaposing the intricate crown moulding on the ceiling & chandelier.

What a great night... and a Unforgettable Dining Experience at Victoria's Steakhouse…read more From the second we walked into Victoria's Steakhouse, we knew we were in for something special. The food was outstanding, but honestly, the service and overall experience stole the show. Right away, we were welcomed with a handwritten note from the staff, which was such a thoughtful touch. It set the tone for the whole night and made us feel like more than just another table. Leah, Taylor, Nicole, and Brenden on the bar all made sure we were taken care of, and they worked together like a real team. Our main server for the night, Leah, was incredible. She checked in at just the right times, kept the drinks coming, and made sure we never felt rushed. That's something I really appreciated--the timing was perfect. We had time to sit, talk, and enjoy every course without feeling like we were being pushed out the door. That alone makes this place stand out. The Food - Top Notch wow!! We ordered a mix of appetizers, and right away, we knew we were in for a great night. The Steak Tartare was packed with flavour, really fresh, and had just the right texture. The Beet & Charred Citrus Salad was a great surprise--the burrata made it creamy, and the mix of ingredients worked perfectly together. Then came the Maryland Style Crab Cakes, and these were easily some of the best we've had. Crispy on the outside, full of real crab on the inside, with no filler, and the fennel and grilled citrus remoulade gave them a light, fresh kick. Just unreal. The Wagyu D'or Bone Marrow was something else. Super rich, buttery, and loaded with deep beefy flavour. The short rib was so tender it fell apart, and the mix of confit onions, taleggio cheese, and truffle just made it even better. Definitely a must-try if you want something packed with flavour. Then we had the Wagyu, and this was hands down one of the most incredible steaks we've ever had. We ordered 4 ounces of Japanese A5 Wagyu, and it was everything you'd expect--unbelievably tender, with insane marbling that melted like butter in your mouth. The flavour was so deep and rich, you don't even need sauce or seasoning--it just speaks for itself. Every bite had that perfect balance of fat and beefiness, giving it a texture that you really can't compare to anything else. If you're someone who loves steak, this is an experience you need to try at least once. For sides, we went with the Risotto Milanese, which was perfectly creamy with a nice saffron taste--not too overpowering, just right. The Confit Carrots with brown butter and maple were also really good, with the smoked almond crumble adding a great crunch. Even though we were stuffed, we couldn't leave without dessert. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was next-level. Warm, soft, and covered in a crazy good caramel sauce. If you're a dessert person, this is one you don't want to skip. The Cheesecake was smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet--just really well done. A great way to wrap things up. A Cool Surprise at the End After we finished eating, they invited us to see the kitchen, which was something I've never had happen in Hamilton before. It was spotless, and you could just see how much passion the kitchen staff has for what they do. It was a really cool way to end the night and just added to the overall experience. This was easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in Hamilton. The food was next-level good, but what really made the night was the service. The staff at Victoria's Steakhouse didn't just serve us--they made us feel welcome. If you're looking for a top-tier meal with amazing service, this is the place. Hands down one of the best nights out we've had in years!!
