Don't be misled by the name or the polished photos online. The walls are extremely thin--you can hear every conversation from neighboring rooms, which makes it feel like you're sharing the same space. The noise continued well past midnight, and when I brought it to the front desk's attention, the response was dismissive and unhelpful, essentially saying it wasn't their problem. The staff was not accommodating, the rooms were mediocre at best, and overall the experience felt like a cash grab rather than a place that values its guests. read more

We were here visiting family for Thanksgiving and this was a 3.5 for us. It's a large comfortable room, clean with a Nespresso and a small kitchen with refrigerator. Housekeeping was timely and thorough and the property is centrally located. Downside for us was there were few amenities - water/soft drinks were available in a vending machine. There is a restaurant on site but it only serves dinner (and you're only able to get room service at that time). We both thought it would benefit from some additional food/coffee options outside of the room. All around a decent option just not exceptional. read more

I stayed at the Vanderbilt in Westbury, New York for a business/vacation trip and it was the perfect home away from home. My room was exquisite! The bed was so comfortable I was able to sink into a restful slumber as soon as my head hit the pillow. I had a king bedroom suite with a sofa and an outside seating area that was adjacent to the beautiful outdoor Vanderbilt pool. The ceiling were tall and grand with lightning and a decorative hanging lamp to add to the tasteful room decor. Besides the couch there's a dining table and additional seating where everything is strategically situated so you can see the large screen TV at any angle in the room. There's a library, a full fitness center, adult game room and even a children's playroom. During my stay, I had almost all the amenities of home without the task of being at home and taking care of home. My room was cleaned daily and restocked with fresh towels, bottled water, coffee and tea. All of the suites have a sink, dishes, a microwave oven, a nice size refrigerator and fully stocked double vanity bathrooms. I would be doing an injustices if I didn't mention the staff at the Vanderbilt; everyone I encountered was absolutely amazing! During my five night stay I got to know Cee-Cee, Cherry-Ann, and Forbes, they were absolutely wonderful! Very professional and accommodating, not just to me but to the residents, guest and even the delivery and service people that came to the front desk. Another person that deserves an honorable mention is Heidi, she is one on the house keepers that works extremely hard sanitizing and caring for the suites (I watched Heidi on her hands and knees cleaning and disinfecting the tables and chairs in the suites), it's great to know that she goes above and beyond for the comfort of the guest. Just know that the Vanderbilt is a beautiful residential building with only 18 guest suites, and the residents take pride in their building. The guest suites are so comfortable you'll want to make this your home away from home. read more

One of my favorite places to hotel or live! This stunning building secretly has 10 hotel room on the first floor that are apartment level suites and overall gorgeous. With 13 foot chandelier ceilings, high end kitchen and bathrooms, high end designs, you just feel like a million bucks sleeping here. The rest of the building had a few rooms to explore, a game room (where I had a extremely serious ping pong match the night before my wedding), a restaurant and bar, a pool and much much more. Secret Spot For Reprieve and Fun! It's been such a crazy month in my life (as it has been for everyone) and visiting the Vanderbilt has offered me deep ease and a level of comfort away from home that I haven't encountered during an overnight stay before. I was greeted so nicely when I arrived to the hotel and taken on a short tour of the facilities which included a gym, pool surrounded by tanning chairs + unlimited clean towels, a game room where I would play 6 games of ping pong and 3 games of pool later that night and a library room which was perfect for some end-of-the-night meditation, journaling and reading. Once I entered my beautiful one bed room, I was jumping for joy (literally). There was the world's cutest feather chandelier in the center, an enormous bed topped with dreamiest of linens + huge fluffy pillows, gigantic armoires for my guest and I fixed with complimentary bath robes and enough closet stay for the entire week. I also appreciated the fact that our room was equipped with a kitchenette, water bottles in the fridge, dish soap, an ice bucket and a bunch of other small details that made me feel like I'd need for nothing. Lastly, the bathroom! I love clean bathrooms and at hotels that may be a pipe dream to a detail-oriented eye. At the Vanderbilt, I saw enough wash clothes for a few days long stay, fresh towels in excess which meant we could use it to tie up our hair as well as dry off plus, a tower of face towels. As someone, who treats showering as a ritual of cleansing with potions and bubly soaps I appreciated it. I also loved the complimetary Dove toiletries, no harsh cheap chemicals on my hairs or skin to worry about. Overall, the hotel was gorgeous. I loved the clean bright color scheme, it balances between bright white and calming grey in a way that goes easy on the eyes but makes you aware of the cleanliness. We ended our night by stopping by Juniper, which serves a mix of pristine American cuisine and hosts live music on Thursdays (during my visit). The food was amazing, I would definitely recommend dinner there or brunch if you're lucky enough to stay into the weekend. read more

Came here for a self care, no kid, doing me night after my birthday brunch (June) This is a residence but they have reserved a few rooms for hotel occupancy. Check in was easy. Room was nice. The bar (Juniper) was the best party (they have HH too). It was me and mostly the residents. A cheers scene. Everyone was so cool and inviting. We laughed. We got personal. It made my night. I didn't have time to have dinner at (Juniper) nor get in the pool but I'll be back. read more

I book the Vanderbilt hotel for Mother's Day may 12, 2023, because I wanted a relaxing Mother's Day away from home. The following day around 11:05 a.m the front desk called and ask what time I was checking out. I told them at 1pm because on their website they advertise a late check out as apart of their Mother's Day special. She then proceed to say she's not aware of that with an attitude and if I don't check out they'll charge me extra. I then told her that's what was advertised. She then told me the latest I can check out is 12pm. I immediately got my stuff and went to speak with them and also show them the advertisement on their website. They proceed to tell me I can stay until 1pm. I didn't like the fact that the receptionist was so rude to me. I also didn't like that they have a restaurant on site but it was close at 4pm on Mother's Day. read more

Beautiful apartments but beware of the following: closets only have a bar no shelves. Finishings were not addressed. Wood floors have paint marks and dried glue remaining. Balconies weren't graded properly so water accumulates with every rain. They have brought in a contractor to fix but typically these types of repairs will take them a long time. Beware of bath tub. Door only slides on the half away from the faucet so one actually has to stand in the tub to clean the faucet half. Dogs allowed but the garbage is walked from the restaurant to the dumpster which is along the same route as to the dog run. Consequently one has to keep ones pet away from dropped garbage and glass. One has to constantly check to see if one has a pkg. they use the Luxor system but the pkg is rarely there but rather was sent to the front desk. Package delivery has gotten better since writing this review in January. Management claims to be responsive but doesn't come close to other more established buildings. It takes typically 3-4 emails to get things addressed. Has gotten better after calling Beechwood Homes to make them aware. None of these things would prevent me from staying but it is disingenuous for the ads to say "sit back and relax, we'll take care of everything". It's luxury build but not service. There's potential for them to get it right but it's been a disappointment. The sales people are great. The employees great. The management of issues not good at all. The good news is once all the first tenants address the things that weren't finished properly it will be a really nice place to rent. For instance I spent 1000s on closets making them usable. Whoever comes after me will reap the rewards of having well built shelves and drawers in the closets. Some of the positives: The apartments are beautiful. High end appliances, solid doors, can't hear one's neighbor, lovely windows. the pool deck opens May 11th and the Kingfish Restaurant is really good and will be servicing the pool deck so lots of promise there. The game room and library are really quite nice and the gym is very well equipped. I believe everyone tries their best just front desk staff (except Phil at night) and building management don't seem to understand "luxury service". Probably inexperience since there have been small signs of them finally getting what it means to promise luxury. Overall I would highly recommend this place but you do have to like dogs and you have to push management to get things done. Great location. read more

Talk about not accommodating. First time staying here. We checked in around 6pm and CeCe at the front desk was very sweet but everything I would ask for she was not able to say "yes" to. I asked if we can have a late check-out, she said no, she stayed that she needed the room for guests tomorrow. I asked if they have brunch on Saturday, she said no. I asked if we can use the pool since we checked in later on and didn't get to use the amenities and she said that we couldn't use the pool unless we were guests at the hotel? So after we are forced to leave at 11am, we can't use the pool? This hotel is not cheap..over 400 a night. We winded up leaving and using the Lifetime Fitness pool and amenities. They don't have refreshments served by the pool at this hotel either..just vending machines, for this price? Come on..now! Find the yes... we are celebrating a birthday.. talk about making this experience memorable!! Such a shame such a beautiful place and they can't fulfill requests or accommodations! read more

Paid $400+ to stay here for one night, expecting amenities one would typically find at hotels within this price point - very disappointed. Although the hotel is beautiful, it was not accommodating; requested a later checkout as we arrived a bit late and we're told to call back in the morning to make the request because our room was already booked the next day - huh? We wanted to use the pool the next morning and because we had leave the room by 11AM, I asked if there were showers at the pool - I was told verbatim, "unfortunately no because the pool area is only for guests and you're no longer guests after 11am" - huh, again? The restaurant is not open for breakfast on any day other than Sunday, we only received one key card and had to go back to get another one, etc. - this was just a very strange and inconvenient experience. Not recommended considering other options available at this price point. read more
