My husband and I stayed at this hotel many times for vacation and we loved it. The staff and owner are so nice and friendly and our room was clean and neat. It's near Jones Beach, Cedar Creek Park and lots of other great places. We highly recommend it to our friends.

Tiny TV but good enough for us

Clean and comfortable. Front desk is great. No idea why the hot and cold water lines are reversed, but it means the water in the toilet is hot and the cold water is on the left side of the sink. Easy enough to deal with so no points off for that. Good location and a comfortable vibe. I would go back!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights earlier this week. Theresa the owner was amazing. My boyfriend wasn't feeling well so I did a lot of running out for things. I had no idea where to go but Theresa helped me figure it out and she went over and beyond for us. It is such a beautiful hotel and we felt right at home. Already planning a trip back. If you are looking for a unique and quiet location this hotel is perfect!

    Amazing!

Very cool old small hotel & restaurant, backs up to a beautiful park. If you're a fan of historical properties, would highly recommend.

I was not interested in the pool, but it looked very cloudy and was not used to my knowledge while I stayed. Unfortunately my overnight stay at my usual local Massapequa Long Island location on August 23-24 (room 230) was not a good one. Around 5:00am the sheet was loose on one of the beds and I attempted to stretch it over the mattress. In doing so the bare mattress was visible. I was very disgusted at the many urine stains throughout the mattress. I was not able to check checked the other bed until the next hour when the bed was vacant as we prepared for 7am checkout That mattress was just as horrendous. I or my family members will NOT be staying at any of your facilities any time soon. Room was tastefully decorated, very clean, and comfortable. The two aspects that were annoying were: 1) no ice on our floor. We always had to go one floor below to get ice; and 2) the TV was not user-friendly. There was no visual "guide," so we never knew what was airing at any time. Plus there were no premium stations and even very little regular cable stations. It felt like we were in some remote area where they couldn't get any station coverage. Otherwise, it was fine. I would probably stay here again unless we could find a better room rate elsewhere.

Hotel suite on PH level had a jacuzzi, terrace, living room space, and bedroom with extremely soft linens. Cost was $350 a night which is what we'd pay for an ordinary room nearby. Easy parking, great coffee, very friendly staff and when we needed to extend checkout a few hours the cost was shockingly low, they were very accommodating. Didn't try room service but no problems ordering Uber Eats to the hotel. They also have an option of placing chocolate covered strawberries, rose petals and champagne in the room for $75. Regardless of occasion, choice this option! Primo will definitely stay here again if life brings us back to the neighborhood.

While I…read morepraise the historic charm, expansive gardens, and opulent Gilded Age aesthetic, I noted the aging room interiors, inconsistent restaurant service, and occasional amenity limitations compared to modern luxury hotels. I as a guest Guests noted the "Great Gatsby" vibe and the magical feeling of staying in the second-largest private home in America. The historic guided tours of the estate are highly recommended. The formal European-style gardens and sweeping outdoor terraces are what I considered the highlight of the property. Located on Long Island's Gold Coast, it is an incredibly convenient and picturesque escape for New York City locals. I feel that that the historic rooms lean slightly toward being dark or dated, lacking the ultra-modern luxury touches expected at this price point. While the OHK Bar & Restaurant receives praise for its upscale European ambiance, reviews note that the food quality and service speed can occasionally fall short, especially for basic breakfast or brunch orders. Unlike standard luxury resorts, the estate has a limited number of staterooms and can feel relatively quiet or lacking in on-site activities once the outdoor spaces have been explored. Still, it is quite an experience visiting this opulent gilded age castle.

The grounds here are lovely and there was no wedding or private event so we got to explore the grounds and rooms which was super cool. The dining area is smaller than expected but that's fine with me - makes it more intimate. The menu is a little limited but I was able to find the pacchieri alà vodka with fresh pasta and I really enjoyed it! I got a mocktail as well, which was also refreshing. For an app we shared the truffle fries because although this is fine dining -fries always hit the spot amirite?! I loved the sorbet dessert, hubs didn't love his as much - an apple pie turnover of sorts. Service was attentive and friendly. I'd return for drinks and an app but it is pretty pricey to come for dinner if it's not a special occasion.
