I first learned of The Vanity Center when I purchased a Groupon for some microdermabrasion treatments. I was very happy with the service I received, as well as the quality of the treatments. The staff is very friendly and informative. And Lynn, the owner, seems to be very educated and interested in the medical benefits of the treatments they provide. After the microdermabrasion treatments, I purchased a series of CelluSleek treatments. Again, I was happy with the service and the results of the treatments. By getting 3 CelluSleek treatments, it jump-started me and gave me the incentive to lose about 5 pounds and several inches! It really does work! The Vanity Center does not have the plush, serene feel and look of a "spa", but I don't really think that is what they were trying for. Their prices are much lower than you would pay at a posh spa.. here you are only paying for the treatments, not the high rent! Although I understand that they are soon moving to a new location and partnering with a hair salon, so that should solve that problem. I would recommend the Vanity Center to anyone who likes these types of treatments, and doesn't want to pay the high spa prices. read more

I got my initial introduction to The Vanity Center from a Groupon Offering for 3 Cellu-sleek sessions this summer. I am a "tough sell" and before I purchased the on-line package, I called to speak with the owner, and was impressed with her candor, knowledge and willingness to work my 3 visits in before a vacation to Hawaii! From my first visit I was "hooked"! NO this is NOT a SPA, with waterfalls and lemon enhanced water; but it is a place where cutting edge therapies to repair and enhance your face and body are provided by the owner/esthetician , Lynne and staff. This "skincare on steroids" clinic not only offers therapies that do what they say they will do; they may well EXCEED your expectations! (They did mine...) I not only purchased a second Cellusleek package, I have taken advantage of their Ionothermie wraps, their Radio Frequency skin tightening, and their facial toning! If you are looking for relaxation and pampering, this may NOT be your best bet; but if you are looking for results, excellent service, and knowledgeable and friendly staff, then the Vanity Center should be your first stop on your journey to fight the ravages of aging! read more

As I see the negative reviews for the Vanity Center, I begin to wonder what planet these people are from. First, to get spa services like those offered at the Vanity Center...at such a low price..is truly a bargain. How can one expect gurgling waterfalls, polished granite, and all the rest of the finery one would expect at a high end spa when you are paying just $25 for an hour of service? (not to mention that that hour uses high end products or European machines) PLUS....when a vendor uses Groupon they don't even get a fraction of that amount. Give them a break! The Vanity Center is a small business, and these nice women are providing a great service, at a great price. Additionally, every time I have been to the Vanity Center...I have been treated with respect, kindness and professionalism. Lynn is wonderful, as are Dory and Brandy. I purchased 4 Microdermabrasions from a Groupon and I was fully aware of any stipulations before purchasing. As a consumer I believe you need to know the facts and do some research before making a purchase such as this. There was absolutely no question about what would happen if I didn't show up for an appointment. I knew that before purchasing. Business is business, people. The Vanity Center is a no frills place but I had the best Microderm EVER by Lynn. My face looked and felt great and I was incredibly happy that I didn't miss the waterfalls at all. I was so happy I referred a friend who purchased a Groupon from them within a week. Never would I recommend a business to friends unless it was worth it. I like my friends. Lynne/owner has provided varioius aesthetic services for me over the past five years and I always leave completely satisfied. She is thorough and understands what needs to be done each visit. I had a microdermabrasion today and see what a nice difference it makes. *I've had this procedure from other sources but Lynne always does the best job). I was provided services upon my arrival (did not have to wait) and finished in time for her to take the next client. She employs a timely digital reminder system, which keeps everyone on schedule. This is not an "over the top" spa facility, but one that gets your skin in top condition, which is always my reason for going to The Vanity Center. I absolutely LOVE the Vanity Center. Lynn and Dory are professional and honest about what the best way to get great results are. They are very knowledgeable and can answer any questions I have about skin and all the services they provide. Just by going to my Groupon sessions I have learned so much about how to improve my skin on my own. I appreciate how direct the staff is and that they don't try to push unnecessary products and services on you. You can't find better services than this. I have been a customer for a couple of years now. The staff is awesome and always makes me feel at home, the place is very nice and warm, it's so welcoming! I see Dory, she is great at explaining all the products she uses, and understands my skin type and recommends products that would work for me according to my own skin and condition. I do not agree with the other overly critical reviews at all. My experience with Lynne and Dory has been wonderful. I have been going for about a year and highly recommend them to everyone. My skin has greatly improved due to the treatments and products they have recommended to me. They seem very informed and knowledgeable. I have learned a great deal about my skin type and feel very comfortable asking questions. Lynne has very impressive skin for her age. My experience with Dory was absolutely fabulous. I came in for a microderm in the morning and I was very pleased with my first visit. Dory really took her time explaining all of the services and explained thoroughly how to take care of my skin after the treatment. After my microderm, Lynn came out to make sure the visit was great and took her time to chat about my concerns regarding my skin. Friendly. Professional. Fun. This is how I describe this facility. If you want a place where you receive great treatments at very low prices, this is your haven. I had my first microderm with Dory and it was awesome! She explained every product used on my face, and gave me information about my skin type etc. It was very relaxing and her being so explanatory made me feel very comfortable. The staff was extremely nice, warm, and welcoming. I have been back a few times, and every time I go everyone knows my name. I was very happy with the service and technicians. I had several microderms and waxes. They are very knowledge and could actually explain why stuff would work or what the most likely reactions would be which was nice instead of just base sales pitches. I felt very catered to and while I'm skeptical to buy some products the one I bought for pigment reduction actually worked. I had two photo-facials and both were fabulous!! Lynne is wonderful!!! She really cares about my skin and really wants me to look my best. I have really bad sun damage and she is helping me get through a treatment regiment, but within my budget which is very important! I've been going to Lynne for chemical peels and micro dermabrasions for six years. Since I've developed some adult acne, Dory has been doing the micro dermabrasion treatments, and she does a really great job. She and Lynne are both very knowledgeable about skincare, and are very good at what they do. I live out of town now, but I make sure to book an appointment with them whenever I come for a visit. If I had filled this out 2 weeks ago I would have given it 5 stars but I usually get my cellusleek done by the owner and she does a great job, but lately there is a new girl who is less then professional. Her appearance does not mesh with the classy spa there trying to portray. She shares a little to much with you about herself as well.
