We wanted to eat outside because the weather was beautiful, but they unfortunately didn't have enough staff to be seating outside. We were welcomed to take our drinks to the back patio or rooftop bar at any point, just no service out there. We ordered the Carolina gold wings to split. They were definitely more tangy than spicy. Really honey mustard tangy, but cooked well. For our mains, we had the colossal ravioli and the outlaw burger. The ravioli description lists 4 large ravioli and my plate came out with 3. Honestly, they were truly huge and I know that I couldn't have eaten 4. The burger was requested to come out medium rare, but came out medium. It was still juicy, had plenty of toppings, and was beautifully plated. We each had a couple beers and then took an espresso martini and beer up to the rooftop. They have casual seating up there along with some stone fire pits and string lights. I'd love to come back to enjoy outdoor service and pizzas from the wood fire oven.

There is also a big patio area which is wonderful for a warm spring day, or a cozy summer night. The menu contains unique items amongst its standard fare. We went with the "Polish bowl", the " Italian bowl" and the cheesesteak. The Polish bowl contained pirogies that would rival any church lent takeaway. Accompanying them was kielbasa, sauerkraut, bacon, with side of sour cream and butter. Large portions, delicious taste. The Italian bowl consisted of four enormous meatballs. The flavor reminded me of my mom's who was taught by her neighbor who was from Italy. So very delectable. I took two of the four home and made two meatball subs from them- again, so enormous. The Grumpy Beaver does not skimp on quantity, but maintains a very high level of quality. The cheesesteak equaled two you would receive from anywhere else. The inclusion of sirloin, Swiss cheese accompaniment, and the local Mancini bakery bread ( long roll) will stand against anything you get from Philly. This was scrumptious. For dessert we chose a Dubai torte, and a banana peanut butter pie. Both did not let us down, with the heavenly flavor exploding in each bite. Our waitress Gabby was sweet and very accommodating. We will be back, and you should try it!

As for their catered food, I am totally biased. I have been chasing chef Greg Powell around Beaver County for ages, wherever he is cooking up his food. There are also cocktails, wines, and a whiskey selection. Currently, there are 16 beer choices, one cider, and a hard seltzer option that can be made in five different flavors. There is also an NA beer choice along with a pop variety. 32oz and 64oz growlers can be filled to-go. There is no food in house, but a food truck schedules to be here on the weekends. Check their website for more information. Kids are welcome as long as they are supervised by a guardian. Parking is never too difficult to find because there is a lot next to the building as well as street parking. There is a handful of tables and bar seating throughout the brewery, and there are some outdoor tables by the food truck. I always enjoy the vibes at Cobblehaus. The music is at a comfortable volume and the place is always very clean. I will continue to hang out here!!

I especially appreciated the house made pickles, which show up on the house salad and can also be ordered individually. In terms of the location, it's somewhat hard to get to but offers some great views of the city. In terms of the beer, I was very much impressed by the wide range of available styles and the quality of every beer I tried. One detail to note is that It's not very vegetarian friendly. The menu is focussed on hot dogs and smash burgers, and there really aren't any vegetarian friendly versions of either. All told, this is certainly an excellent destination to hang out and enjoy some high quality beer with some limited food options if you need them.

We chose this spot specifically because it presents itself as family friendly, and, before visiting, we reviewed the house rules listed on the website. We had three adults supervising one two-year-old at all times, she stayed with us in a high chair at the table. There was no running, climbing, or unsafe behavior. At one point, while we were playing peek-a-boo with her, she loudly squealed happily for less than a minute intermittently. A young female employee approached our table and told us--while I was literally mid-sentence correcting her to use her inside voice--we would need to move to the patio "if she continue[d] because of the noise." The interaction felt especially unnecessary given that earlier, when she cried while we were waiting for food, no one said anything. What made the interaction feel worse was that it occurred very soon after the only adult male in our group had left for a sales appointment. The timing and tone of the interaction made us feel singled out and uncomfortable. We didn't stay much longer and didn't purchase anything further. I completely understand that businesses need to maintain a comfortable environment for all guests, and if there are expectations around children needing to remain nearly silent indoors, that may be worth just considering an adults-only atmosphere. However, happy toddler noises for a brief moment in a loud and crowded brewery marketed as family friendly did not seem unreasonable to us. We live just minutes away and had been excited to become regular customers when we first arrived and were very impressed by our drinks and the atmosphere. The tail end of our experience was especially disappointing and we left with a subpar impression. I'm sharing this feedback because the interaction genuinely made us feel unwelcome, despite being attentive, respectful patrons who were following the posted rules. We considered bringing our pup for the patio, but we were unsure if he would bark, so we decided not to bring him as well. I also wanted to mention that we noticed responses to Google reviews often encourage customers to reach out directly by email with concerns, so we felt this was the most polite and constructive way to provide feedback rather than leaving a public review first. It's been two weeks since the email I sent, to the brewery and I've heard nothing back. We also would like to mention that there are no vegetarian options on the menu beyond salad, hot pretzels, and French fries, despite there being many brands of offering vegetarian hot dogs and burgers.

My wife asked me if I heard of this place and I said yes, she said we got to go there. That was music to my ears. We stopped looked around and they have a small bar where everyone is gathered around. They have a long bar that was vacant. We got a flight of beers, ipa, jalapeño, Irish ted and a lager. The jalapeño beer was awesome. We got a four pack to go. I asked who was the owner how long they been here and he said 8 years. The one owner said that this was his last day. Found out that they sold the brewery to new owners. They will stick around as the new owners get going. But the name will change in due time. I'm happy we got to check it out under the original ownership. The one thing is inside everything is quite older. It could use some modernization. We will come back once the name changes and we have another Brewery to mark off our checklist.

The brewery itself is spacious and the concept made me feel like we were hanging out in a friend's basement gameroom/bar. That's a good thing. Definitely has a vintage vibe happening. We met with and were served by one of the Petrucci brothers and we got to talk with him at length about the brewery, their pours, the area, etc. Super, super friendly and nice guy. Now let's talk about the pours. I have to tell all of you that the beers are spectacular. We loved each one that we tried. If you're up for adventure, this is worth a drive from Pittsburgh. Looking forward to the next time we have to make our way out to Beaver County.
