We parked for free (by Longs Drugs) before the opening time of 4pm on a Thursday to get easier parking... because half of the Farmers' Market uses the covered parking area and the other half is in the open part of the parking lot... in the sun (and rain). There was a variety of food and beverage vendors and maybe two stalls with fresh produce. There was mellow live music and a calm crowd. It's in a nice paved area with friendly vendors! It happens only 3 hours a week, so schedule it in your planner!

This is what a farmer's market should look like with a majority of vendors selling produce directly from their farms all spread spaciously apart throughout the mall allowing easy and comfortable access. The prices are realistic too - including other vendors selling food and homemade items! Overall, a true farmer's market with many produce vendors neatly spaced out within the mall. Reasonably priced. I always get a coconut -- this time of year, there were two options to choose -- small versus large. The large one is from Hawaii and is limited time of year, roughly one month of the year. Delicious! Also, they cut the coconut in half and provide spoons to enjoy the inside meat. Also love the fresh fruit stand with prickly pear fruits, star fruit, mango, and also some homemade items like coconut tapioca pudding, mango with sticky rice, papaya salad. Crafts vendors have beautiful handmade pens, signs, bracelets. I still highly recommend checking out the farmers market -- many unique items and offerings not found in traditional stores around the area!

It wasn't very well organized, there was no sense of community, and pray little number of vendors. And there was a good number of vendors who had their boxed up products there but their booths weren't manned or even set up at start time. Believing that they were just running on island time, I waited a good 20-30 minutes, but I ended up losing interest. I took a few laps really intent on making some purchases. I ended up getting some fruit to throw into my fridge at the hotel which always comes in clutch, but there wasn't much else that was exciting. Only drop by if you're staying at or near the Hyatt Regency, and lower any expectations that you may have of a farmers market.

My favorite things to buy here are of course the fresh produce (a given), paia'i from Hanalei and his Kahaluu lo'i, the complete meals that are $5 and up, and random knick nacks from local crafters. The produce: One vendor, Melissa (or Ala as I know her as) always hooks me up with ulu (bread fruit) or avacado, or star fruit if it's in season, for example. I always ask her to pick me out the good stuff. She of course will ask what I'm going to do with the produce so she can give me what I'm looking for. As in how ripe an avocado do I need? I am always grateful to her and her honest picks. And never am I sorry for asking! Then I usually peruse the other stalls to find what might make my recipes pop. I really like to buy local and when I do I'm always happy with the taste and freshness. This past weekend it was bananas, garlic, and a papaya form one, then some carrots and onions from another... It's actually very therapeutic and fun! If I get there early enough Hanalei usually has a bag of paia'i for me, and I can enjoy the live music he has lined up if I'm not in a rush to get home. The complete meals are super yummy. I always have to have a baked spaghetti plate! The rest of my order depends on who's with me that day or what I'm ono for on the fly. I admit I often buy enough plates to keep me and my keiki in food heaven all weekend. Such things as pastele stew with gandule rice, or shoyu chicken. My daughter loves the kalua pig and cabbage with long rice. Next weekend we are definitely going to give the Filipino food a try. And if you're in Kaneohe town on a Saturday morning before noon definitely go check it out. Parking is free and the vendors are all really friendly and helpful. So if you need low cost fresh produce this is the place to go on Saturday AM. Have you been to the Safeway Produce Dept lately? Oh Man!! Start going to the farmers market before you spend way too much money. There was a lobster tail guy there along with a couple of hot food stands. The food looked hot and freshly cooked. I didn't get to try the hot food but it looked good. Mostly, local Korean and Filipino style. None of the "name" vendors or food trucks here but like I said it looked good. "Small kine" mini Farmer's Market. Come for the produce!

From the road, you'll see many white tents all lined up, making it appear to be a huge farmers market with many vendors. There wasn't as many vendors as I imagined, but a decent amount with two rows with roughly 25 or so total. Almost all the vendors were selling food or homemade items with only two selling produce. There were several unique food items that looked appealing, but I wasn't here for that. Overall, a solid farmer's market to grab food. Everything was neat and organized. It also had covered eating area and musicians performing that added to the ambiance.

I believe there is a small parking lot available for people as well. This farmers' market is split between two blocks. There are a lot of local vendors and lots lots lots of food! If I was lived or work close by I would look forward to Wednesdays, the Honolulu Farmer's Market happens once a week from 4-7pm. Free parking , I try to make a stop here if I need veggies, fruits for the midweek. It is out of the way for me come from east side and coming from long work day, I am already exhausted. This Farmer's Market is smaller compared to the one at Kapiolani Community College on Saturdays, less than 20 vendors. Noticed some vendors from the KCC FM, a quick stop to 2 booths for Thai Banana, butter lettuce and chayote fruit. Got what I needed, quick walk to the end to see browse the other vendors. Although the food and drink booth looked great, one day I will make it a Honolulu Farmer's Market night where we go for our walk here, grab goods, enjoy and then walk back home! For this visit, I am happy with my produce, can't wait to prep my salads and cook a dish with the chayote. Love farm fresh veggies!!

I was ready to do a food crawl this past Saturday morning. The market was pretty sizable, and it took us at least 15 minutes to quickly walk through all the vendors before deciding which ones were worth trying. We came with pretty high expectations, so while not everything blew us away, we still got to try a ton of different bites: * Various mochi flavors from Lanikai Mochi. The owner was a great and friendly guy, too. * Fresh acai bowls with more interesting fruit options beyond the usual strawberry, blueberries, and bananas. I also appreciated that the acai blend didn't taste like it had a bunch of added sugar. * Loco moco. The steak was a bit dry, but I'll never say no to gravy. * Ginger ale & coffee mocktails from Pacifikool. These were super popular, and I'd definitely recommend. * Elote from Aloha Elote, with lots of options whether you want it on the cob or in a cup. * Fresh fruit cups. This was by far my favorite find, and if I could only pick one thing, this would be it. The fruit was much fresher than anything I'd get at a grocery store, and somehow cheaper, too. I got a huge cup of purple dragonfruit for $5, and it was so fresh and perfectly sweet. I highly recommend stocking up on fresh fruit while you're here. Overall, KCC Farmers' Market was a solid way to try a bunch of local eats, but it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. Not every vendor is going to blow your socks off, and there isn't really a great place to sit and eat besides sitting on the curb or standing off to the side. Still, we got to sample a bunch of different things in one stop, which made it a worthwhile visit while we were in Hawaii.
