Really great farmer's market featuring many restaurants, fruits, bread, etc. When I went, they also had a lion dance going on! There was so much to look at and so much I wanted to buy but really had to exercise self control. I saw a bunch of people eating their food by just sitting on the ground or on the curb, but if you go up some stairs in the back, there's a small seating area with tables and benches. A little more quiet place to enjoy your food away from the crowd a bit.

A foodie lover's farmers market! Only held on Saturday mornings, make sure to get here early! There is no designated parking lot, but we found some street parking down the road. Out of all the vendors here I tried the Aloha Nata stand which serves tasty portuguese egg tarts . Second stop was the Kukui sausage stand which serves up a bunch of different sausages. I tried the King Kong which was a sausage with currywurst sauce, cheese, and mayo. Not a very appetizing sounding combo but it was good. Last, was the Big Island Bees honey stand. Their honey is the best. Get a jar of their Lehua honey. It's thick, smooth, and incredible, unlike anything you've ever had before. I saw their jars in some of the grocery stores, but was so happy to see they were selling travel size mini jars! Definitely make it a point to come here on a Saturday.

Something for everyone. The KCC Farmer's Mkt has been a part of the Kaimuki area for decades. Always on Saturday, usually from 7:30am to 11:00am. A farmers' market in the sense there are vendors who sell produce and plants, the great majority of the vendors sell prepared foods, snacks and meals to eat there or take away. Both sweet and savory options are available. There is a nice variety of products such as bakery goods, hot salsa and chips and even german bakery items. Always a nice selection of fruit drinks and smoothies too. The KCC farmers' market has a proximity close to Waikiki, so many of the customers are visitors staying in Waikiki. The current parking lot area (as of Dec 2025) is the area closest to Diamond Head Theater on Makapuu ave side of the on campus parking. The actual parking for customers is located off the entrance next to the white chapel off Diamond Head Road.

Got recommended to stop by this market after hiking Diamond Head and it's not too different than the markets back home. It might actually be more expensive than normal since it seems very tourist focused. It's pretty packed but there's a decent amount of vendors here. I tried a lychee pineapple juice that came in a cute mason jar and was definitely refreshing after the hike. The pork nachos on the other hand that I got were pretty average. Kind of regret not getting an açaí bowl. I think it's a fine place to check out if you are already in the area, but I really wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

We took the Waikiki Trolley to the Saturday morning KCC Farmer's Market, and it was definitely worth the trip. Even though there were plenty of tour buses dropping people off, the market still felt like it was mostly for locals. As a visitor, I could only wish I could take home the beautiful flowers, fresh fruits, and local produce being sold. I couldn't resist picking up a few mangosteens for the hotel room, even though I knew they couldn't come back to the mainland with me. I was also there to check out the food options -- and there were plenty. One stand was serving up sausage sandwiches that all looked great, so we split one to try. Then we spotted The Pig and the Lady booth offering Vietnamese favorites like pho, banh mi, and bún chả. I went with the bún chả, and it didn't disappoint. I've eaten at their restaurant before, and they definitely delivered here too. Overall, it's a fun local market with great food, friendly vendors, and an authentic island vibe -- a must-do Saturday stop if you're in Waikiki.

I attended this market years ago and it's so different from what it was. Parking is a pain. They closed off the upper lot and funnel people to the other lot that is kind of far away. Wear lotsa sunscreen and bring a hat. There are so many less vendors and more prepared foods. Less produce. Bring cash or have Venmo. There appeared to be a good number of Açaí bowl places. Vendors are friendly and it really is unfortunate the number of vendors have decreased. Prices are okay. Expect to pay store like prices so not too bad. We bought a piece of fruit mochi, hotdog and a slushy probably spending about $25. All delicious. Note that food for popular vendors run out quickly. Think of this place kinda like a tourist trap. No seating but plenty of trees to sit under

Cute but super packed and more tourist focused imo. Lobster rolls were the biggest scam of my life like they were good but the size of two shrinkflated costco hawaiian rolls for $30 please be fr. people here are really nice tho. worst was when i got soursop with maggots in it also. acai bowl at the mochi stand was good, everything was mainly expensive

Lots of people! I probably would be frustrated with the crowds if I was a local but you know what, I'm just visiting and this was a great one-time visit :) - Strawberry sando 10/10 - I really enjoyed the strawberry sando - I got the very last one and it was like 10 AM. All the other sandos (mango, mixed fruit) were sold out by that point too. They also sold banana smoothies at the stand but didn't get to try it. I think this was the best strawberry sando I've ever had, and I probably would say I've had 15-20 in my life? If I were to guess. Or maybe I was just really hungry after hiking. - Strawberry mochi 10/10 - Long line, the mochi feels fresh and hand made. The chocolate ganache was a nice touch. The mochis are about $5.50 each. - Mango juice 9/10 - I like how eco friendly it is and that they serve it in a mason jar. A bit of ice inside the jar at the end. - Portuguese hot dog on bun 9/10 and Spicy 5/10 - Really yummy after all the sweet food. Elevated hot dog. About $7-$10 depending on condiments. The spicy was way too spicy for me. My mouth was numb for 10 minutes. Free samples of the Kona coffee. Couldn't find the abalone stall. Not as much local fruit as expected. Some of the stands don't take card so bring some cash. Crowded, looks like it can be hard to find parking. Expect some lines and smoke from the cooking, and maybe also prepare for rain. It's hard to get ubers out so expect to take the bus out.

Eggfruit , first time going to try it

If you are only here for one day, don't forget,Saturday at Honolulu = KCC Farmers Market vibes! Fresh tropical fruits, local eats, and good island energy all in one spot. From sizzling abalone to sweet butter lobster roll and icy lilikoi juice -- this market is a foodie's paradise. It opens at 7:30 am ,so do your hike and come down here! Support local, eat fresh, and soak up that morning sunshine at the foot of Diamond Head!

KCC farmers market is only open on Saturday morning till about 11am. I wish they stayed open just a little longer like 12pm so theres a little more wiggle room to go especially if you're not much of a morning person. Between the two saturday markets - this one has the most veggies available and it's a lot more cheaper than the Kakaako one. I like to go to this one instead because of that. I think the food options are better at Kakaako, but KCC has a few good food options too. You can bring your dog with you now. It was not allowed before. Keep in mind that it is really hot so you want to be aware of their feet burning and hydration. It's also very crowded, so it's not ideal for a small dog unless you carry them or have them in a stroller. One lucky Saturday we were approached by a traveling photographer - Justin Veenema! How lucky of Simba to be spotted and photographed! I almost regretted bringing him to the market that day since it was so hot and i had to carry him everywhere. Most people who come here are tourists but there are a few locals that show up too. the good thing is that theres lots of parking (some stalls are smaller than others) and police officers to direct traffic because it gets really crazy! During peak hours there will be lots of people and it'll be hard to move around.

    Jo C.

Finally had a chance to check out KCC Farmers Market this past Saturday! TIP: bring some cash as some vendors only take cash. If you forget there is an ATM in the front. Plenty of parking, family friendly, dog friendly, atmosphere and wonderful vendors. Mostly good and drink vendors but there are also plants and a few crafts. Everything was delicious and good variety of products.

I've been wanting to visit the KCC Farmers' Market for the longest time. I was looking for the sizzling abalone vendor but they weren't there. I did however stumble upon some other great vendors. Price wise though, things are a bit on the pricer side but you are paying for quality and supporting local businesses! WORTH IT.

    Leeza D.

When I'm on the island on a Saturday, I like to walk from Waikiki to KCC, but this time we drove. Parking was relatively easy. It is moderately busy and there were many the usual vendors I've seen around and some new ones. We tried the corn stand, the sugar cane stand and Boba Bros this time around. However we always like to try something new each time. Casual. Please come and create your own experience.

Close friends (if you come here enough times) and deals can be felt here on a daily basis. It's a very definitely small scale operation that takes up very little room and scores up many delightful fruits and fresh produce for your daily needs. It's not much of a theatrical production, as the larger farmer's markets in various spots around urban Honolulu and across Oahu, but there is some value associated here. It's your usual cadre of local residents that want to enjoy the fresh produce that comes with farmer's markets, but want to be within the reaches of Kaimuki town. The Kaimuki Open Market could be categorized as a small niche of people bartering and selling among themselves, but why do it in the public eye? Not sure about that, but I guess it's the way it is here and buying among friends and family is like that, along with passers by who are also looking for a great deal as well. The overall experience here was definitely pleasant, but weird at the same time. I'd come back here more, if the farmer's market either at Kapiolani Community College did not have the stuff I need. The Kaimuki Open Market is neatly tucked away in the side streets of Kaimuki town, located on 12th Avenue across the street from the First Hawaiian Bank - Kaimuki branch. They usually operate on Saturdays, Is use you where I see them. Not sure if the do this open market on the week days, but I will be surprised if they do. If they do, it will probably during normal working hours. Usually cash will be king here, since I do not believe they take credit cards at all. Luckily there is a major bank next door or across the street, namely First Hawaiian Bank and Bank of Hawaii. Parking can be plenty for all, if you use the municipal parking lot but you would have to pay money. There's always street parking nearby but there will be some walking involved to get here. Of course, there is no admission fee, so that's always a good thing. Sometimes I will see someone new in the neighborhood buying stuff from here and it's always gratifying to see familiar faces periodically on the weekends. While you won't find vendors that will cook up a tasting meal, you just find a small assortment of produce that is fresh and compatible with whatever you are cooking / preparing for the day or week. Take this opportunity to venture out in your comfort zone and come here, as the alternative to supermarkets, Costco, and other nearby localized farmer's markets in and around town. Since I do live nearby, I thought it would be a nice gesture to check things out here on a recent Saturday and hit up the Kapiolani Community College mega farmer's market later on. For me, it was the perfect opportunity to get what produce I needed for work and home, while being quite close to home really. I can shop here on the weekends and know that I can get the best price and deal for my hard-earned dollar, as well as seeking other deals for friends and family by shopping here. While Whole Foods and various supermarkets are are very much in the Vinicity, shopping here at the Kaimuki open market can be adventurous and be out of your comfort zone. It's always nice to look at first. You'd probably would find something you're looking for, but for a better deal. Support local! B+ *1400th review and 100th first to review on Yelp! Yeh!! :)

You can play around with the portion sizes and frequency too. I think currently I receive 1-1.5 lb of fish per share of whatever the catch of the week is. I absolutely love the fish I receive from Ashley. You know it's fresh, it's sustainable and proceeds go directly to local fisherman. Over the past few months, I have received so many different types of fish. Some common fish I see are sashimi grade mahi mahi, ono, and ahi. Sometimes the fishermen will bring in invasive species & I always try to grab those. I've picked up whole kanpachi and whole opakapaka. It's always a fun challenge to try and clean & break down a whole fish lol. I think the craziest thing I picked up from Ashley was mahimahi head & bones. I made a marlin carpaccio and grilled octopus for dinner :) I just love how Ashley and the team make it easy for us to be more connected with our local food source. Although it's a tad more expensive than buying fish at a convenience store, it is nice to know that all the fish is coming from our local fishermen from our shores.
