I love this farmers market here in the heart of Waianae. One because I work on Saturdays and it right in the strip mall where our office is! There is an assortment of vendors and a great vegetable selection. Naked Cow Dairy, Acai and Pitaya bowls, deserts, BBQ. Pasteles, clothing and plants. One of my favorites Kamoa's Kitchen! I cannot put into words the deliciousness that comes from this Hawaiian food truck! See my pictures and follow them on IG!

Makeke Waianae, a small farmers market, opens every Saturday morning at the Waianae Mall Shopping Center. They can be found in the parking lot in the back of Pizza Hut. The few times that I showed up at the farmers market was to purchase a small bunch of apple bananas for my grandfather. Couple times I even purchase other edible items like the hot sugar coated malasada from the malasada vendor or two beef lumpia from the Filipino food vendor. Walking around the farmers market I noticed other produce items like mangoes, cabbage, and squash sold by different vendors. The Naked Cow vendor has a table with flavored butters. There's an Avon representative selling makeups. There's one vendor that sell kulolo, haulolo, and paiai. Another vendor sold crafts. I noticed one Waianae resident playing an instrument and singing in Hawaiian. If only I attended the Makeke Waianae in the previous years I would have had the chance of eating Nani Kore's bacon wrapped mochi. Sadly that vendor is no longer participating in the Makeke Waianae on Saturdays. When I do have a Saturday off from work I'll make sure to stop by and support the local farmers market in Waianae. Got to make sure my grandfather has his apple bananas. 42/100

Great lil local market with farmers and craftspeople from all over. Get your taro malasadas on or grab some local fruit and veg, from Dole and Maui Gold pineapples, local papayas, to jewelry and other small gifty things. Our fav was the Paradise Kettle Corn. Amazingly delicious! They have their own Yelp page: https://www.yelp.com/biz/paradise-kettle-corn-pearl-city They offer deliciously seasoned sweet and salty "hurricane popcorn" with mochi crackers, furikake, and a crisp popcorn sweetened with sugar. They also have rainbow popcorn in large packs. Very reasonably priced, $5 a bag or 3 for $12 for the hurricane variety. Or $5 for a large rainbow bag or plain kettle. Amazing!

This guys prints of fish really grabbed me loved them. Gyotaku by Cris Junya Visoria.

The farmers market is behind Starbucks towards the mountains Starbucks is on Farrington Highway. there are 30 stalls with maybe half a dozen organic vegetable stalls and a dozen food vendors from various local ethnic type foods to some restaurants that bring u stuff over. So bring your appetite. We got there late so the ripe avocados were gone which is what we were looking for. But all kinds of other vegetables and avocados that weren't quite ripe were still available. There are also three or 5 crafts stalls of which I was the most impressed with the fellow who made prints of fish and other craft items. Definitely going back next Saturday and as early as possible

This farmers market now sells lemonade or sweet tea in mason jars! Which seems to be the "it" thing. But at this particular farmers market they give you options to put mixed berries, lemons or other fruits and your choice of sweet tea or lemonade. They also have massage booths, crafts booths and all sorts of food booths. Mao farms and M.P farms has a booth each and they sell fresh veggies. The Waianae farmers market is every Saturday from 9am to 1 pm. I definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area and bring cash!

The mac nut pesto was soooo goood and creamy, all the veggies in it was tasty and sautéed perfectly. This veggie soup was hearty, flavorful and just so yummy lol. The tumeric pits was buttery and crisp in the outside yet airy soft on the inside, the tumeric flavor wasnt strong - it was the perfect amount of tumeric flavor. It was the first time i tried goat cheese. It wasn't too bad! It had a tang to it but not bad! I also tried some of their salad (not pictured) but even that was fresh and loaded with healthy greens, i loved the dressing they typically use but i enjoyed the dressing that came with it. Overall, check this place if you want to try something new in Waianae!

All kinds of fruit and vegetables were available for sale along with fresh poi, filipino pastries, and a variety of fresh herbs. Half of the large parking lot at Kapolei Community Park is closed to allow the vendors to set up. They are all on the basketball court side of the park. Prices were really cheap and the vendors were really friendly. I definitely would go again. I am super happy with a bag of five tomatoes that I picked up for only $2! If you want Thai basil, it is only 50 cents a bunch, and pastries start at only 50 cents among lots of other items. Parking is street parking. There were lots of parking available. Giving 5 stars for Katy, who works at the Pearlridge Farmers Market location in Saturdays. She is a ray of sunshine, with her great smile and loves to share samples of their product. Be careful, though because when you taste the delicious products you'll have to get something! Their passion fruit habanero is amazing with cream cheese and crackers or as a glaze for meats. If you combine it with cream cheese it softens the heat. They do have one with ghost peppers or Caroline Reaper peppers but beware - I bought it for my friend who loves heat and she said it's really hot! They have amazing butters - try any of their chocolate butters and you'll think you are in heaven! Note-these are seasonal so there may be different ones available when you visit. Award winning Coconut black chocolate is absolutely amazing, rich, and decadent and the best way to eat this is to get a big spoonful then just sit there and savor the flavor. The Kona coffee dark chocolate is also amazing. Hard to decide which is better! Got a jar if passion fruit Hawaiian pepper (chili pepper) smoked pineapple Kentucky whiskey to use as a glaze for meat. Can't wait to use it. These also make great gifts to send to or give to suiting folks from the mainland to give them a taste of Hawaii. I like the POG jam for islanders who have relocated to the mainland because it's like a taste of home. Kona coffee butter and mango are also divine. I have the mango for me...! I also got a jar of the mango honey and it's marvelous, too! These are high quality and a bit pricey, but after going to the craft fair at the Blaisdell, the prices are not too much more if not comparable. ...AND they are available weekly! If you go and sample a flavor you like, be sure to ask if it's seasonal (such as mango) or not. If it's seasonal - get it. It may not be available again until the next season. Me
