I absolutely love a good farmer's market, so it couldn't pass up the opportunity while in Hawaii! We went on a Sunday morning (I th8nk it ends around noon so make sure you get there early). We found street parking near by and paid less than $10 for 2 hrs. This market had the best fruit/veggies, plants/flowers and food stands! I circled around a few times and just couldn't help buying stuff! Anytime I'm in Hawaii, I will most definitely be going again!

Farmers market is fun for all!

It seems that all the vendors have met my daughters and recognize them every week to call them over and say hi and it's so exciting for them. My younger daughter loves doggies and since it's pet friendly, she gets to see a lot of her four legged friends. Overall, it's perfect for a daddy daughter's date on any Wednesday.!!!

Farmers' market or a foodie market? Please see my pictures. Arena parking lot today as there was an event at the Concert Hall. Quality/Quantity - If you are looking for a farmers' market, you might be disappointed, only 2 vendors. If you are looking for a foodie market, this is the place to be. We frequented so many new vendors, and some familiar ones! Supporting the locals. We got the Youpo Noodles HI (hand pulled noodles), and it was fantastic! Very good! Spicy!!! Atmosphere - Food market. We Ubered, so can't tell you about the parking. Clean bathrooms in the building, so much better than outhouses, thank you. Service - Good, nice to feel like a local again. Took a week, but finally people thought we were from here. Price - Depends where you shop. Owner Comment - Hosted by the Farm Bureau; congrats on your success since 1948.

Gotta love a Farmers Market at the holidays!

Ah....the joy of a Wednesday night trip the Honolulu Farmers Market can not be beat. It doesn't hurt that I live across the street.... One of my favorite moments of the week is the post market elevator ride with fellow building residents where we can compare notes on our favorite vendors! Speaking of.... Here are my favorite vendors: Pig & the Lady...Bahn Mit perfection. Little Sparrow...spaetzle dishes reimagined. Ho Farms...excellent produce and pickles Papi's Empanadas...great selection of empanadas but try out the quinoa salad too. The Local General Store...excellent meats and prepared goods. Get there early if you want one of their amazing house-made cookies or desserts! Youpo Noodles....get your noodle hand-pulled by an expert then tossed with cumin lamb. You won't be sorry. Alex Produce...it is a farmers market after all.

Got lots of great food from all kinds of different vendors. This farmer's market is more like a food market though. There are lots of food vendors but very little stands that sell just fruits and veggies. But super nice people all around and very welcoming! Overall would recommend if you just want to taste some fruits which there's a vendor that sells a whole box that they cut up in front of you! And also just wanting to try different kinds of popular foods. I got this seared ahi with shrimp from a vendor (sadly don't remember the name) and it was heavenly especially the sauce they use!

Honestly this is one of my favorite Farmers' Market...others may disagree due the size being just a fraction vs others and probably the choices of vendors participating. I am truly blessed to be working and with that just about NEVER have weekends off, though even if I did I'd still be a regular here whenever possible. Honolulu Farmers' Market is here every Wednesday nights 4pm to 7pm with the most convenient free parking just steps away from the beautiful lawn of the Blaisdell concert hall. Being a crafter as far as I can remember and have done a few craft fairs myself I can't imagine the struggles some have gone through since COVID has taken over with the change we now must adjust and live through. I have deep compassion for farmers and small business who have put so much passion into their dreams. I've know and seen some businesses that were forced to shut down and it broke my heart, so this is just one way that I can help and love to hear and get to know some that has stories to tell and always do their best to take care of us and I feel grateful and thankful...thank you!!

Support local and attend the monthly Farmers Market at Ala Moana Center. Local vendors with everything from pot holder, Hinode Rice bags repurposed as reusable grocery bag to hand made specialized jewelry to Lihing snacks and seasone gummies. They even had stands with baseball mits and washi tape. The list goes on. Every booth unique and special units own way. I got a my melody reusable drinking glass with a leak proof bamboo life and straw and some washi tape. All the vendors were friendly and answered any questions we had. I do wish they had more vendors. It's a quick walk through with about 20 stalls but the space is limited. It was a nice easygoing time with no pressure to buy. Just local people making things through creativity and skill. It was a nice time. Oh yeah my daughter and her friend bought jewelry from Aj jewelry. She makes some great pieces. Definitely worth a visit.

Over the past year and a half since its inception (December 2018), it seems that the Blaisdell Farmers Market has been renamed to Honolulu Farmers Market also decreased in the number of vendors. They've rotated their location between the lawn at the Blaisdell Concert Hall facing King Street or the parking lot of the Blaisdell Arena facing Kapiolani Boulevard. This farmers market meets regularly on Wednesdays from 4:00 pm to 7 pm. There is free parking available in the Blaisdell Concert Hall & Arena's parking structure. Through our several visits to this farmers market, it appears that there are more food stalls than farms being represented. You can get lots of ethnic, artisan, and local food items ranging from appetizers to desserts. Our past visits have been "beelines" to either the Sweet Revenge or The Pig & The Lady food booths. We always make sure to bring our own insulated bags to maintain the proper food temperature of our purchases as we walk to and from this market. We look forward to getting either a mochi bento (every 3rd week of the month) or a Thai curry chicken pot pie from Sweet Revenge and a teriyaki shoyu chicken plate from Hawaiian Style Chili Company this week.

Location is great Free parking is awesome Selection of booths are minimal but decent More booths would be great Fresh produce selection was decent. Could be better but the prices and quality is really good Food booths are good but need more to choose from I definitely recommend Pets are welcome unlike California Farmers Markets

If you're looking for an actual Farmer's Market filled with multiple vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables, and other locally grown products, this is not it. This is far from it, so I advise avoiding this "Farmer's Market" if you're looking for that. What this Farmer's Market should be called is a weekly "Mini Eat The Street." 98% of this market are food vendors with only one small, and extremely limited produce stall that close to all its produce were old and soon to be discarded. Everything looked like those $1 packaged veggies in Chinatown, but worse. I did not buy anything. It wasn't like this before. Come to this market if you're looking for a meal because you'll find a wide variety of food here with The Pig and the Lady as it's main attraction. There's plate lunch, Mexican, burgers, musubis, desserts, Filipino, Thai, and etc. The only positive here is this market is conveniently located in front of the Blaisdell Concert Hall at the corner of S. King Street and Ward Avenue with FREE parking inside. The gates are up, so you can freely enter and exit. It's hours are 4-7PM every Wednesday. Overall, I'd give it four stars for free parking and variety of food vendors, and zero stars for the severe lack of produce and being an actual Farmer's Market selling farmed products.

Farmers Market is located at Blaisdell Center where parking is free. On Wednesday, hours are from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. They rotate locations between Blaisdell Arena parking lot or concert hall lawn. A list of vendors is on Hawaii Farm Bureau's website at https://hfbf.org/farmers-markets/honolulu/ I haven't been here for ages. La Tour Bakery is gone. Old vendor are Olay Thai food and Pig and the Lady Vietnamese food. New vendors are Bao Bites which sells bao with sweet and meat filling; Sweet Revenge which sells fruit and meat pies; and Side Street Inn.

From what we experienced, there are no stalls selling fresh vegetables; almost all vendors sell handicrafts -- some beautifully made, but not what we were looking for! We did find one fruit vendor. They had shrimp summer rolls ($8), which were ok, but served with an icky, syrupy condiment. (We were overcharged for $10. Don't care about pricing so much as honesty.) The same fruit vendor (found on the ocean side of the market) had white and pink guava, mountain apple, starfruit, dragon fruit, and rambutan on our July visit. Most fruit is $5 for a small, plastic box; rambutans were a jaw dropping $1 a piece. Staff cut fruit to order and serve it with li hing salt. (I find it lovely; Pardner thinks I'm poisoning him when I give him li hing to try.) In the area, the Waikiki Market does have local produce like guava, papaya and pineapple. Close friends (if you come here enough times) and deals can be felt here on a daily basis. It's a very definitely small scale operation that takes up very little room and scores up many delightful fruits and fresh produce for your daily needs. It's not much of a theatrical production, as the larger farmer's markets in various spots around urban Honolulu and across Oahu, but there is some value associated here. It's your usual cadre of local residents that want to enjoy the fresh produce that comes with farmer's markets, but want to be within the reaches of Kaimuki town. The Kaimuki Open Market could be categorized as a small niche of people bartering and selling among themselves, but why do it in the public eye? Not sure about that, but I guess it's the way it is here and buying among friends and family is like that, along with passers by who are also looking for a great deal as well. The overall experience here was definitely pleasant, but weird at the same time. I'd come back here more, if the farmer's market either at Kapiolani Community College did not have the stuff I need. The Kaimuki Open Market is neatly tucked away in the side streets of Kaimuki town, located on 12th Avenue across the street from the First Hawaiian Bank - Kaimuki branch. They usually operate on Saturdays, Is use you where I see them. Not sure if the do this open market on the week days, but I will be surprised if they do. If they do, it will probably during normal working hours. Usually cash will be king here, since I do not believe they take credit cards at all. Luckily there is a major bank next door or across the street, namely First Hawaiian Bank and Bank of Hawaii. Parking can be plenty for all, if you use the municipal parking lot but you would have to pay money. There's always street parking nearby but there will be some walking involved to get here. Of course, there is no admission fee, so that's always a good thing. Sometimes I will see someone new in the neighborhood buying stuff from here and it's always gratifying to see familiar faces periodically on the weekends. While you won't find vendors that will cook up a tasting meal, you just find a small assortment of produce that is fresh and compatible with whatever you are cooking / preparing for the day or week. Take this opportunity to venture out in your comfort zone and come here, as the alternative to supermarkets, Costco, and other nearby localized farmer's markets in and around town. Since I do live nearby, I thought it would be a nice gesture to check things out here on a recent Saturday and hit up the Kapiolani Community College mega farmer's market later on. For me, it was the perfect opportunity to get what produce I needed for work and home, while being quite close to home really. I can shop here on the weekends and know that I can get the best price and deal for my hard-earned dollar, as well as seeking other deals for friends and family by shopping here. While Whole Foods and various supermarkets are are very much in the Vinicity, shopping here at the Kaimuki open market can be adventurous and be out of your comfort zone. It's always nice to look at first. You'd probably would find something you're looking for, but for a better deal. Support local! B+ *1400th review and 100th first to review on Yelp! Yeh!! :)
