This is a pretty solid Mt Baker neighborhood bar that is fairly casual - walk in and seat anywhere you want and order from the bar. It is full service for the most part as they deliver the drinks to you. We got the Mistress Hibiscus drink that's smoky as it's mezcal based and the Caine Mutiny that's fairly strong. We came here on a Saturday evening and there were still a few seats left that we got seated immediately. Mistress hibiscus was a soury and sweet drink that included great tasting spices and the liquor was not too strong tasting Caine mutiny was smoky, citricy, and slightly bitter. This place is such a freak show of unique and chill staff cold drinks delicious little sides and it's somewhere between a West Sanderson movie and the Playboy mansion in suburb Seattle but I think this place only seats like 17 people. From a technical standpoint I've seen better artwork in a frat house but that's part of the appeal it's almost like they take themselves too seriously but it's all tongue-in-cheek but then you get this really delicious drink of alcohol and friendly staff and it kind of works really well. Neighborhood gem! I visited on a Friday night and it was pretty packed. The bartenders were warm and greeted me promptly. I love the vibe of this place. The lighting is a perfect match of calm and cool. Even the restroom has a selfie light mirror where you can snap your best photo. They have an upstairs area where you can hang out with a larger party. They also provide card games. I ordered a couple of cocktails and each one was delicious. They were reasonably priced and well made. As a heads up, they don't serve food but they let you bring food from other restaurants. Mioposto is next door so feel free to bring a pie over. This is one of those crazy fun hidden gems. I LOVE IT HERE. The bartender was awesome both downstairs and upstairs are so cozy and fun. We also came upon a night where a tarot card reader was upstairs doing readings which was also super fun. Their food menu is extremely limited, but tasty. We had the Okazu Pan which is Japanese-style fried bread stuffed with Beef Curry, Jerk Chicken, BBQ Tasso and Vegan Lentil. We tried the jerk chicken and the vegan lentil They were delicious! Very very cute neighborhood bar in the Mount Baker area. You walk in and it's this tiny little saloon with a speak easy type feel. Definitely warm and cozy, dark and romantic, and the cocktails are hand crafted by the friendly bartender. The space is small - there are maybe 4-6 bar seats and two tables downstairs and then maybe 1-2 tables upstairs with a couch. The bartender was friendly but there is only 1 so be patient! He suggested some awesome cocktails and the menu is unique and creative. We also ordered the tamale - delicious and soft and just enough spice! We got the cheese and meats platter as well - comes with 2 types of meat and 3 types of cheese, with Macrina bread, olives and roasted peppers! Definitely a fan! As someone that doesn't drink alcohol, bars have to be somewhat special for me to go there and come back. This place is special. It starts with the great owner and the crew; they're all super friendly, helpful and fun. The ambiance​ is cool, but cozy, dark, but colorful, mixed, but eclectic. You will be able to discover something new every time you go there and spend time in a different corner of this little 21+ only establishment (okay, dogs under 21 are welcome ;) ). We haven't gotten the chance to try their offered food, but what we've seen so far looked pretty good; so it's just a matter of time until we get our hands on it. You can choose​ from their menu or get something from Mioposto next door, very convenient! I like that they have games "hidden" among the decorations all over the place, this way a nice looking box can turn into an evening filled with interesting facts or ​fun game time with your company. One of the best parts - for me personally - is, that it's not far from home, this way I can say it's my favorite neighborhood gem! read more

The music is low enough that you can chat with folks, the board game selection upstairs is super fun, they have a projector and screen for movie nights... it really feels like you're chilling in someone's living room. Let's talk about the drinks for a moment: well-balanced, creative, and interesting menu options - I absolutely loved the 3-Day Weekend: the rosemary infused tequila gave the drink a simultaneous bite and freshness and the rhubarby Aperol mellowed out the orange liqueur's citrus zing - this is my new favorite drink! Dealer's Choice is a great option if you want something delicious and want to deviate from the menu or can't really decide what you want! This place is so cool and cozy, will for sure be a regular spot and Jason does a great job tending to all your bar needs. They have a great selection of cocktails on their menu that are pretty different from your old tired options. We tried the three day weekend and the alpine rescue, both very citrus forward and refreshing. They also happen to have a solid few options as far as my favorite Irish small batch gin goes which was a delight to find! They don't offer food just snacks and pickings but it's more of a speakeasy than a pub. The whole place is dark and velvet which really takes you back and makes you feel at home with all the plush comfy seating available downstairs and up. Apparently they do movie nights on Mondays which I'm super intrigued by and also they have the most amazing blue velvet couch I'm looking to lounge on so will for sure be check that out. Anyways, I guess this place was formally called the saloon and while they've maintained the interior they've also either maintained or raised the bar with their customer service as far as I am concerned because this little spot is a delight. read more

Im not sure who's running this place but it can't be any functioning adult. I emailed many times, sent social media messages and even called the establishment multiple times trying to inquire about reserving the upstairs for a small group and have never received anything back or ever was able to get a hold of anyone.
