    Great bourbon selection !

Great cocktail bar on the Island! A really great selection of spirits. If you are chasing allocated bourbons, come here to try and taste them yourself. Our bartender Tyler was well versed on both Bourbon and Gin - and our group got a few different cocktails and not one of them disappointed. Great decor inside, nice and chic. Patio is great on a spring or summer day. One of the few places with a decent outdoor patio. Perfect place to stop before taking the light rail downtown for a game or a concert. Will definitely be going back. Ask them to make one of your favorite cocktails, but with a different spirit that the bartender recommends!

Such a chill spot on Mercer Island to stop and grab a drink! Coffee in the morning/afternoons and cocktail bar starting later at like 4pm? I think. Stopped to grab coffee and do some work. Bring your tech already charged because I couldn't find an outlet. I don't think the space is made for that! Seating: outdoor patio and indoor. Inside it was a bit warm and stuffy because it was a rainy and humid day in Seattle. Service: super nice service! I also overheard the employee being very patient with a customer who sounded very rude (to me). Latte: good foam, latte art, and strength of the espresso was just right

I've been here during the day for coffee and at night for a drink. I love both vibes. During the day, I love the outdoor patio--it makes you feel like you're in a peaceful European garden surrounded by green on a beautiful patio. The indoor decor is different, beautiful and speak easy-esque. It's cozy, intimate and fun. Outdoor patio also has a fire going, which is nice for the evening. The drinks were pretty good. They have a couple snacks on the menu but not a full food menu. Definitely a fun spot for a party too!

Really cute bar with good cocktails, albeit a little sweet. (We got Mercer 75 and something else I can't remember.) It's a tiny space so not great for more than 4 per party. It was a rainy night so we couldn't enjoy the outdoor setup, but that also looked nice. There was just one bartender doing everything by himself for a full room on a Saturday night. He did great, but I think he'd need help if people spilled outdoors. They exclusively serve drinks, no food. However, I'd encourage a standard nuts & pretzels for a small fee to keep the drinking going.

My friend and I visited ASA on a Sunday evening. The openness and modern but yet exquisite detail that was put into this cocktail bar is far beyond average. With every detail you will see that the owner had his customers comfort in mind when designing and decorating. Luckily the owner was present when we visited and what a kind and welcoming man he is! As we enjoyed our crafted cocktails he made sure to visit every table in the establishment and introduce himself and ensure everyone was happy with what they had ordered. The customer service and delicious crafted cocktails were top tier. What a beautiful addition to Mercer Island. Thank you for being here! We will definitely be back!

Five stars, if only because my brother's impossible standards were finally defeated…read more A group of us stopped by after pickleball for brunch, and everything from the service to the food was fantastic. My brother is, without question, the pickiest diner I know. He's spent the better part of fifty years conducting what appears to be an unofficial cheeseburger audit of the West Coast. He orders a burger almost everywhere we go, critiques every one of them, and has been known to send food back without a second thought. So when he took one bite of the cheeseburger, quietly kept eating, refused to share a single truffle fry, and eventually announced, "This is the best burger I've ever had," the rest of us nearly fell out of our chairs. There wasn't a single complaint, which may be a first in recorded family history. Even more impressive, he's already been back twice on his own. I went in a completely different direction and finished brunch with the date and molasses cake. It immediately reminded me of the English toffee dessert that Citizen Cake in San Francisco used to make years ago. Rich, buttery, and not overly sweet, with house-made ice cream providing the perfect balance, it was one of those desserts that makes you slow down because you don't want the last bite to be the last bite. Great food, warm service, and a relaxed atmosphere. If Yelp allowed six stars, I'd award the extra one for the burger's remarkable ability to temporarily stop my brother from whining.

Let me review all of these and give my judgement as my last review I think was in 2011 when I would say was the hay day of Roanoke Inn. Lets start with the atmosphere which hasn't changed a bit over the decades and I love it as-is and please don't do the Crackle Barrel modernization and ruin it; leave as-is. The cocktails seem to not have changed and this is the perfect place to sit at the bar and drink a shot of Jack and drink at Rainer beer. Don't expect fine wine or expensive bourbon; just that dive bar cocktail. The food seems to have not changed and they still have the carne asada dinner that hasn't changed, french dip, burgers and the only thing I miss is a great traditional club sandwich and I really need a hamburger steak and baked potato drizzled with au jus. I am disappointed with the beer selection as it went mostly PNW craft beers and they no longer have Budweiser, Miller or Coors long necks or are they on draft. I settled for a Modelo; not Negro Modelo. The craft beer phase is not cool anymore and they need to revert back to when American lagers ruled. Overall, this is great venue to meet friends and Iounge in Mercer Island and just chill out with friends and have a few drinks. The selection has changed, but I'm not hating on Roanoke Inn, just being nostalgic for things I can't get easily anymore.
