Stampede has one of the most creative cocktail menus in Seattle, and the legacy menu is stacked too. Best cocktails in Fremont, and honestly it's not even close. I got the Puma St. Puma, which was basically a spiced pineapple margarita--fruity, savory, a little smoky, and really well balanced. My date got the Bermuda Love Triangle, and hers was incredible. Creamy, tropical, and somehow tasted like the milk left at the bottom of a bowl of Fruity Pebbles, in the best possible way. It can take a little while to get a drink, especially when they're busy, but these aren't basic cocktails being thrown together in 30 seconds. You can't rush perfection. Love the aesthetic and drinks HOWEVER.... The drinks are half labeled with dairy and nut warning. Someone in my group has a severe nut allergy and drank a sister nightwine (nut allergy was not labeled). Unfortunately our friend had to run to the hospital because of it. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They understood they didn't label it correctly. The dumplings were good and the other two cocktails we got were so creative and delish. Meh. Didn't spend enough time here to get a full review. But it was worth noting it was probably one of the worst margaritas I've ever had in my life. Ao extremely sweet and also bitter at the same time. Someone else got a skinny marg that was also horrible. We asked for a little soda water to dilute it and were given a freshly opened bottle of sparking water- and charged for it. I've been here once before and enjoyed it, so we came back for the night after Halloween. The decorations were awesome and we really enjoyed the vibe. We also appreciated the covered outdoor area during cold days! They have a great variety of drinks and my personal favorite is the korova milk bar! My first time here, we got seated and served super fast, but this time we waited about 15 minutes for a table and then another 30+ for 5 drinks after our order was taken. We figured it was because of the busy night but when we left there were almost no tables left. Because we have had such great service before, I would come back to try it out again. I don't get out to the Fremont area enough but I will plan to get there more often after a very fun afternoon we just had at the Stampede Cocktail Club. We came for the "Daiqs & Dogs" promo that is a combined celebratory event of National Hot Dog Day (July 17) and National Daiquiri Day (July 19) with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Humane Society. Of course, dogs are welcome so we brought ours and met several other pooches there as well. There were free samples of dog treats as well. We we greeted by Paul (owner? manager?) at the front and he was very welcoming and friendly. We opted for the outside covered seating with the warm Summer weather and nice views. Inside, the bar area is dark and cozy with side rooms for private groups. There was another outside area to the left of the building that was also pretty cool with a small waterfall at the end and a bright seating area. This is where the event sponsors were at. We had a few of the promoted daiquiris from the special menu provided and the hot dogs were free and grilled outside by a friendly fellow (Matt?). I liked my drinks and thought the prices were about right for the area. The service was exceptional with super friendly staff that kept checking up on us and clearing our dishes, etc. The menu is a booklet designed to look like a magazine with very cool artwork and articles and they feature some of their employees who wrote the articles and designed special drinks themselves. This was very well done and super cool. Apparently the dumplings here are pretty good but we weren't too hungry and the hot dogs filled us up. Now we have a reason to return to try these dumplings! We enjoyed a few drinks at Stampede before our later dinner. We arrived fairly early (maybe around 5pm) and the bar was quiet, but it was picking up and getting quite crowded when we left a few hours later. The drinks, while pricy, were good. We did take a gamble on the mystery shot and I can't say I would recommend it, but it was a fun experience. Another note is that the dumplings are awesome and I think about them often! Easily one of my favorite cocktail bars in Seattle -- everything from the whimsical vibes to late-night bites to (of course) the inventive cocktails is... chef's kiss! It's situated right next to a ton of other bars in the Fremont area, but sits in a league of its own IMO. There's occasionally a wait, so I'd come with a smaller group or for date night. They have plenty of indoor seating, as well as a heated and covered outdoor patio with lots of fun, trendy decor. They have a rotating menu which switches out with the seasons and some staples which are always offered -- I've really loved every cocktail I've gotten here, and all of them feel so unique and like nothing I've ever tasted before. The servers are usually good at making recommendations too! I'm a big fan of their mezcal and vodka creations, but there's something for everyone (including several non-alcoholic offerings)! And the dumplings?! A surprise hit -- they're well-priced and great for a little sharing snack, and the Veggie ones were super flavorful. I'll be back! read more

There was about an hour wait for 8 people, so we put our name down and headed to another bar. I thought it was well worth the wait. If you love cocktails, or just enjoy going out to a special place that has novel cocktails, you have to check out Stampede. This place has the vibe, the staff, and the drinks, well and boasts some great dumplings/potstickers as well according to their menu. They have a large amount of outdoor seating in summer, but some heated outdoor seating in the colder months, but come inside and you are greeted with a gothic-chic vibe and then to the room to the right a brighter space with fun safari vibes. Every bartender I've met here has been extremely approachable and passionate about creating cocktails and the menu. Joey is not only a lot of fun, but he's attentive, helpful, and cares a lot about his customers. The menu is always creative and exciting. I was hooked on an old fashioned riff that was smoked and included donut infused whiskey, Campari and coffee liqueur but there are far more adventurous, as well as classics. They put a lot of effort in making the menus an experience in and of themselves as well. I became Demon Friend Material with my chili mezcal concoction and my friend morphed into Dark Matter...both were incredibly delicious! I love the way you put different types of ice cubes in the beverages. One thing to mention...maybe lower the volume of the music a bit?
