This venue is a well oiled machine! I came for a wedding - I was guest/dog handler. We had rehearsal the day before and the wedding coordinator was so on top of everything. They took our drink orders in advance so during photos we had drinks! One of the best rehearsals I've been to and the day of the wedding was lovely. Everything was great and all the staff are really amazing. They were genuinely enjoying themselves and having fun, which made working with them so much more enjoyable too! They brought us out appetizers for photos too and continued to help the bride and groom with holding drinks and flowers. Truly impressive. What a great venue and experience. I did not stay for dinner, as the ceremony and photos were outside and I was with the pup! But the cocktail I had was great and the apps were really good too! I bet the dinner is great. They really go above and beyond ensuring every detail of your special day is planned and covered. There were a few things that I dropped the ball on and when that happened the Villa was there to pick up the pieces. My bridal attendant Becky. was an absolute all star. I cannot say enough good things about her. She literally had a magic fanny pack filled with things you never knew you'd need. She had a mini fan and lash glue when my lash started to come off, flossers, a safety pin for when I stepped on my bustle and ripped it, you name it she was ready to save the day !!! If you're considering having your wedding here, don't hesitate. I know about 5 people who have also had their wedding here and they feel the same way. We had our wedding reception at the Villa this September and it was everything we dreamed of and more! Biggest thanks to Ellen Jones (our event producer) and all the employees at this venue. The Villa is absolutely gorgeous. The grounds are amazingly kept and beautiful! Our reception was in the tent and it provided the indoor and outdoor feel we were looking for! The food was absolutely amazing! Our guests absolutely loved all the passed hors d'oeuvres and meals. The Villa made communicating and planning so easy for us! Ellen was an absolute gem. She communicated extremely well from beginning to end and made the whole process very easy. Our wedding reception was somewhat unique (we didn't do our ceremony at the Villa and we wanted our wedding ceremony video to be played during cocktail hour) but Ellen made sure it was the exact vision I was aiming for. Friends got married at The Villa at Ridder Country Club out in East Bridgewater, and I was privileged to attend it. The ceremony itself was held outdoors, in a white fenced in area, on the grass. There was, however, a nice wide (and rather long) cement path for the bridal party to make their way down to the open air structure type arch. I was selfishly hoping that the clouds from the morning would stick, but no, the guests were facing the afternoon sun throughout the beautiful ceremony. But we made good use of the wedding programs provided. Afterwards, we were directed indoors, past the parking area, for a cocktail hour where there were passed hors d'oeuvres as well as a dips station. Dinner was a seated experience in a nice space with a long fireplace at our end, that began with the most composed salad I had ever seen, where a long thin slice of cucumber was wrapped around a bundle of greens. Both the prime rib and the salmon were well prepared. But the cake and coffee/tea were self-serve back out in the space where the cocktail hour had been held. I heard that at least one guest was without cake - don't know if it was because some were greedy and took more than their fair share (tempting since there were several flavors of cake), or if the cake slices were not counted. The entrance into the building had a flight a stairs leading to it, while the patio entrance also had a few steps leading to the parking lot. If you have any guests with ambulatory issues, you might wish to inquire with the site. I heard that there were three weddings going on that night. I had absolutely no inkling of this till the conclusion of our evening. When I headed off to my car, I could see that there was a party still going on full blast over at the lovely white tent that was set by our ceremony site. read more

My now wife and I had been engaged for about 2 years since the COVID-19 Pandemic has shifted many scheduled weddings to later dates. At the time, we actually struggled to find a wedding venue that met both of our needs. I was driving back from work one afternoon and saw the billboard for Saphire Event Group and scheduled appointments at The Villa and The Avenir. While we did stop by The Avenir first, we were already blown away by the amount of care, services, and accommodations provided at the venue. However there were still a few things that we wanted to consider. So Lynne at The Avenir, recommended us visiting The Villa with Kristen and Victoria to see the other sister location since it was not only closer to our home, but may offer a different feel to what we were looking for. When we arrived for our tour about a year before our proposed wedding date, we were greeted by Kristen Catwell. She was exceptionally thorough and left no stone unturned with what we were looking for. We received a tour of all the spaces and what would be included in our specific packages. Food is something that we are very passionate about so when we heard that SEG does all of the food options, including dietary accommodations, we knew we were in the right place. Many of our friends and family have some needs so it was nice to know that there were a lot of options for them to leave full!As the process continued and the first initial payments were made, we met Victoria Rando, who is is hands down the BEST coordinator EVER! I don't know of anyone who is so genuinely excited to be working with us and making our evening as special as the occasion, but every time we saw her to check in and make sure we were on track, it was like seeing a friend that we hadn't seen in a while! She quickly integrated herself into the planning and really gave us everything that we needed, even until the night of the wedding reception. It was such a hard goodbye that evening, especially since we spent so much time in the planning process, going through contingencies, communicating delays, and many more. But we knew Victoria showed up for us that day and gave us her 1000%. I also think that she's now the favorite :) For many people wanting to celebrate an occasion such as a wedding or any other occasion that is meaningful in your life, please come a see the team at Sapphire Event Group. We've only seen two of the 4 event areas ourselves, but I am sure that if our experience at both locations serves as a marker for the other two, then all of the event spaces are fantastic! My daughter got married here recently- Her father and I paid for the venue and then some. For the most part we were happy with a few exceptions- Make sure you and the wedding producer are on the same page. Make sure you go over EVERYTHING during the final meeting 2 weeks before (I mean everything). Our Welcome sign was not moved from where the wedding ceremony was until after all the guests had entered the venue- (It was supposed to be at the entrance for when guests entered the grand ball room)- We had given specific instruction to cut up the entire wedding cake- what happened? we went home with more than half of it and our guests got a tiny sliver of cake. (we threw away most of it) We were also under the impression that the bride and grooms signature drink (white and red sangria) was part of the consumption bar including after the cocktail hour (beer, wine and sangria)- it wasn't, our guests were paying for it, after the cocktail hour- I was told this was in the contract during a "final discussion" with bride and groom- Wish we discussed this during our final meeting two weeks before the wedding. Everything about the venue is beautiful- however, it is very cookie cutter wedding, trying to personalize it is a little bit like pulling teeth- there were things we asked for where we were met with "I have to check with management" some requests they came back and said "No" but with a little negotiating they said yes, but guess what? it would cost us monetarily. My daughter was a COVID bride, so this was a long drawn out process. Her father and I wanted the best for her and through it all, it is the little things that matter. My only advice is, look at more venue's- we fell for the beauty of the grand ball room-wish we had looked around at other venues- The wedding producers need to pay attention to detail and make sure their staff completely understands what is expected of them when they leave for the night. We chose the The Villa in 2019 before the pandemic started and finally got to have our wedding reception in 2022 after postponing from 2021. We initially chose them because we fell in love with the Madera ballroom and the food that we got to try on our tour. Our vow renewal and reception when we could finally do it went seamlessly. Everything that we've heard other couples complain about with their own wedding was not an issue for us. We had a day-of coordinator that made sure the wedding party knew where and when they had to be somewhere, etc. We had a bridal attendant that made sure we knew when food was at our table and made sure we got to eat every single course. She took drink orders from us every time she noticed a glass was empty and for our photos while cocktail hour was going on! She even took cocktail orders for other people involved in photos and afterwards, upon returning to the bridal suite, we had a sampler of appetizers waiting for us so we could eat and have a minute to relax before we went out to greet our guests. Our vow renewal day was perfect very largely in part because of the staff at The Villa. The attendants we had made everything look seamless, the servers were professional, the bartenders were pros, and the chefs exceeded our expectations. I usually expect wedding entrees to be a bit bland and typically fill up during the cocktail hour, but even our pickiest family members were raving. The pandemic delayed our celebration, but we're still thrilled that we went through with everything instead of just completely cancelling. We had an incredibly night and we're extremely thankful for all the staff at The Villa that made it happen! read more

My husband and I got married on Jan 26, 2018 - a winter wonderland. I just can't say enough positives about this venue. They made the wedding of our dreams come true. From the gorgeous venue and amazing food, to the small details like dabbing out a lipstick stain on my coat without me noticing. Everyone was professional and kind - making what could have been a stressful process into a night to be remembered. Shout out to Stephanie - our dedicated coordinator. She helped me with everything from last minute questions to changing the seating plan the day before. If you're worried about pricing, just let them know your budget. Getting married on a Friday in January obviously points to a lack of funds, and they worked with us. We viewed several venues in this area, none were as pretty or offered the same value. My wedding was here this past weekend with Phan H. being one of the groomsmen. His review as an bridal party member/usher/guest at the wedding is helpful to read as well. Some info about my wedding to consider: Size: 181 guests including me and my husband Ceremony held on site outside with reception following at the Grand Ballroom Held on a Sunday Use of venue: 5 hours (for ceremony,cocktail hour, dinner/dancing) Dessert/Cake provided by outside bakery Dinner: Plated dinner with passed hors d'oevours and stand alone station Ceremony: Luckily for us, our ceremony was held outside on a beautiful day! It made for great pictures and for a lovely setting for our ceremony. The Villa is also very organized and has backup plans if it were to rain. Size: The Villa was an excellent size for the number of guests we had for the ceremony and cocktail hour. The ballroom fits everyone nicely with room for a dance floor. In addition, my bridal party and I had access to a bridal suite with our own private bathroom. This was extremely important since I changed into three different dresses throughout the wedding. Food: The choices of food for the main entree was delicious - and we were told by several guests that it was delicious as well. We had a choice of sea bass and braised short ribs with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables for sides. Half of our passed hors d'oevours were disappointing. The calamari and the risotto bites came out well but we had a chicken appetizer and a peking duck roll that turn out to be disappointing. When we first had the peking duck roll at a tasting, it was light and crispy. At our wedding, they had used a different wrapper making the texture doughy and chewy. The chicken was dry and not appealing. Organization: For the most part, everything ran smoothly. At times it was hard to find our coordinator. One gripe I had was that when we discussed with our coordinator about how to serve the cake(either at the table or as a cake buffet), we had chose cake buffet so guests could choose if they wanted cake or what flavor they wanted. It wasn't until much later in the evening that we had discovered that there was no announcement from the waitstaff to the guests that cake was served outside in the cocktail area. Pros: We had a helpful bridal attendant that comes by frequently to get us drinks and to serve us exclusively to the bridal party. In addition, she made sure that our entrees came when we were ready to eat them so they'll be piping hot. Overall: The Villa is a beautiful place to get married. There are two indoor areas and a tent area to hold both your reception and ceremony. If you want your ceremony outside and the reception inside, they can also accommodate you as well. The food on the most part is well done and they have many options to choose from when you are picking out the menu for your event/wedding. Tips: My husband and I wanted to take a lot of pictures and we thought with the number of guests and the time we had the area it was difficult to do. I would suggest if this is the case for you as a soon-to-be-wed couple, that you should consider extending the time you use The Villa. read more

Words cannot express how pleased we are with the Villa. Our wedding was PERFECT and the Villa was the main reason behind that. The food was delicious! I kept hearing these top 3 compliments from our guest "this is the best wedding I've ever been to" "This is the first wedding the food was actually good/great" and lastly "Omg this place is gorgeous, what a beautiful wedding". Seriously The Villas short rib was hands down was one the best short rib I've had in my life! And can we talk about the butternut squash bisque? Omg to die for! I can go on and on about the Villa. We recently got married in the Madeira Room at The Villa. The room is so gorgeous that you don't have to do much to it! We personalized it with some special touches, but the ambiance truly is there on its own. The team there works so well together and our coordinator, Colleen, was great. She definitely put us at ease at the end, when things get the most hectic. My recommendation is to not be shy about asking questions or asking for help from your coordinator. We had a beautiful ceremony outside with perfect weather and reception held in the Grand Ballroom at the Villa on July 29th, 2014. From everything from sales to the planning to the actual day of the event, it all went off without a hitch! Lauren Harrington was our fantastic sales chica who won over me, my mother and mother in law. She was extremely personable and kind and even gave us some appetizers as we sat down to talk numbers. We loved her and were very happy with our on-the-spot decision to chose The Villa. She made us feel like we were making a fantastic choice, and in the end, we agreed! Congratulations Lauren, on your new addition :) Our wedding coordinator was Chelsea Sabataso. Throughout the whole process, she was extremely flexible and accommodating, especially dealing with us since we live in Florida and would have to come up and deal with wedding spec's on a fly! She was always an email or a phone call away and was a great communicator when I had any questions, or concerns. If she didn't know an answer right away, she would find out for me- even the crazy specific questions I would ask about measurements from table to ceiling! haha Extremely sweet and professional, an absolute asset to The Villa who has a keen sense for Hospitality. She was awesome, and deserves a raise ;) Down to the wedding day, everything went incredibly smoothly, and everyone seemed happy (and full!) at the end. I wish I actually got to eat everything, but the rumors are true, you don't eat at all on your wedding day! The set up was fantastic and everything that I wanted came to fruition in the way that I had envisioned it. The only problem I can think of was more of a communicational thing between house and DJ about when certain things would come out, i.e. the street cart and the Slush station, and cake. The food from what we DID have, was fantastic and a great "bang-for-your-buck". Kudos to the chef for making everyone happy! Thank you. One other thing I must add, we had an awesome "Bridal Attendant" the day of that was extremely sweet. She seemed well-trained, especially when I was getting ready to go to the ceremony on the golf cart, super helpful and calming. I could be absolutely wrong, but I think her name might have been Alex. She had glasses and was probably in her mid-twenties. The next weekend, my sister had attended a wedding at the Villa as well, and "Alex" remembered that she had a super serious shellfish allergy and made sure that the chef was aware of it. I appreciated her attentiveness to such a serious issue, she did a great job relieving us all of stress, especially with the allergy! We loved The Villa and would recommend it to anyone. I had my wedding this past weekend at The Villa in East Bridgewater. I had been to a wedding there a few years ago and loved the venue then. I was blown away by the recent renovations and knew this would be the perfect venue for our Fall wedding! Ashley Corbin was my wedding coordinator and she was an absolute pleasure to work with! My husband and I live in Austin, and it is very difficult to plan a wedding from out of state! Ashley was always super responsive to my questions and very flexible with us. The day of went off without a hitch!! I had an assigned attendee with me the whole wedding to make sure everything went perfect and Ashley was there too. Everyone was mic'd up and able to communicate and the whole night was absolutely perfect! My guests are still raving about the food - especially the mashed potato bar and late night cookies!! The food at The Villa is not your typical boring wedding good, it is equivalent to a 5-star restaurant! The ground are impeccable, and the pergola outside was the perfect setting for our ceremony. We had our reception inside the newly renovated Madera Ballroom and our guests LOVED the whole room - especially the ceiling and gorgeous fireplaces!! My husband and I had our wedding in the Madeira Room at The Villa in January and were thoroughly impressed with everything. Katelyn, our coordinator, was very organized and helpful. I felt comfortable knowing she would be running the show on the day of. She definitely knew what she was doing and kept a nice, calm demeanor on our wedding day while also keeping things running smoothly. Everything up to the wedding was great too - she quickly responded to any email I sent and provided me with extra info when requested. The venue itself is stunning. Dark, gorgeous hardwood on the floor and ceiling, 2 fireplaces (one at each end) and just an overall beautiful ambiance. We fell in love with it when we first saw it. So many of our guests commented on it's beauty too (even ones you know would normally say anything, so you you know they were truly impressed). The tasting before the wedding was quite impressive too. We got to experience the appetizers (many of them...and they were all so delicious), open bar, a bunch of smaller-sized main dishes, and dessert. By the time we were done, we were full and happy, and had a much better idea of what we wanted to offer our guests on our wedding day. Great service too, even for the tasting! As for the price, we were pretty happy with this compared to many other Boston-area rates. Obviously a wedding isn't cheap, but this place definitely gave us the biggest bang for our buck, as the saying goes. The only downside is that there is not a hotel close by. We had to get a block at the Stoughton Courtyard Marriott, which was about 20-30 minutes away. Just be prepared to consider the option of providing transportation for your guests. We did, and everyone really appreciated it. I highly recommend this venue! read more

My brother's wedding was this past weekend at the Villa, and I don't think it could have been better. From the moment we arrived with the wedding party, everything was well coordinated and ran very smoothly. There were three people making sure everything was going well at all times, dealing with all of the vendors, and making sure the guests were in the places they needed to be. The food was fantastic. The appetizers during cocktail hour were delicious, and when something ran out it was replenished quickly. The sea bass entree was amazing, the prime rib really, really good. The Villa is an amazing wedding venue. We had our reception in the Madera Room which has been recently renovated and looks better than ever! It was initially the aesthetic that drew us to choosing The Villa for our event; however the service and organization of the planning process along the way was top notch. Chelsea our coordinator and John our producer were incredibly thorough and detail oriented which allowed for an absolutely flawless event. The food and drink were delicious. There is only ONE drawback to the venue, in my opinion. There are very limited options for photos on-site which meant we had to take them offsite at another location between the church ceremony and the wedding reception. Realizing this ahead of time we were able to plan accordingly, but I would not have been happy if on the wedding day we were limited to pictures in front of the golf course only. I had my wedding at the Villa in the Madeira ballroom this past September. The staff at the villa were absolutely incredible. My wedding coordinator Colleen, and bridal attendant Bri, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect day of. The food was exceptional, my friends were all raving about it. We did the mashed potato bar and late night Chinese food as an extra treat for our guests and they were a huge hit, I would highly recommend them. I was in the Villa and covered two weddings there: the Salerno wedding and the Climo wedding. I like the venue setting as it looks like a county club and looks very laid back, You can feel the privacy and no stress. The property is big they have the big white tent, the uncovered wedding place, and the covered buildilng. It is really nice there. Makes you feel you are in a vacation. My wife and I were just married in the Madera Ballroom this past weekend (9/26/15) and I can not limit the amount of praise that the staff and this venue deserve. We were initially pulled in by the aesthetic draw of the exposed beams and double-fireplaces present. The Madera Ballroom also was in-line with our desire for an intimate rustic setting that wouldn't feel uncomfortably tight. We were assigned a coordinator and made arrangements with her, however approximately three months prior to the wedding we were assigned a replacement coordinator named Erinn Fleming. Erinn was fantastic throughout the entire planning process. She delivered on promises made when we booked and even made arrangements to meet our particular requests. Her communication skills were incredible and my wife and I were constantly briefed by e-mail regarding the ceremony and its planning process. The food was delicious. As with any ceremony, I was concerned that the actual food would not be as great as the food we tasted... this wasn't an issue! All food served during our wedding was hot, properly cooked, and presented with flawless presentation. The day of the ceremony I was assigned a personal attendant (named Michelle). Michelle was also incredible, she was on the spot and able to address every need on our special day (including arranging a second bottle of champaign for the groomsmen after the first ran out, tracking down grandparents for photographs after they wandered off following the ceremony, and ensuring that my wife and I were fed in between our wedding photos and entry to the reception). Erinn exceeded my wife's expectations on our wedding day, and she was constantly present. She provided steady updates on my status (the groom) to her leading up to the ceremony and made sure everything proceeded on-schedule (without rushing things, which I found miraculous). The capacity of the ballroom was 200, but our ceremony only came in at a total of 113 guests which fit very nicely in the space. Our main meal choices were prime rib and sea-salt and potato crusted cod with a citrus vinaigrette. Appetizers included stuffed mushroom caps, spanikopita, beef tenderloins, macaroni and cheese, and sesame chicken with Szechuan sauce. Overall, The Villa provided us with an excellent venue for our wedding and guests have not stopped talking about how wonderful everything was. If you are planning a wedding, I would highly recommend that you stop here based on our experience. read more

The Villa is a well oiled wedding machine. I had my wedding there in May and I could not have been happier with the experience as a whole. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We worked with Katelyn and she was just fantastic. Every little detail was taken care of from start to finish. The venue itself is gorgeous. We had our ceremony outside and reception in the ballroom. Both were far better than any other venue we had gone to- and we looked everywhere! The food tasting was incredible. what an event! they had so much on display, you could really get a feel for what it would be like. the food is fantastic. i was blown away with how many options they had for each course. The only complaint I had is that the extreme bare minimum is actually included on your contract. We went far and above what we thought because we had to purchase upgrades. For example- the included linens are ivory napkins, table cloths and chair pads. No problem- i knew i would have to shell out some cash for the color i wanted. however, i didnt expect to be charged an extra $2 per chair labor fee to change the color on top of the already $2 per chair fee! a word of advice- they are business people. i went to sapphire estate before looking at the villa. what i thought was a casual tour turned into a semi-contract before i knew it! the gentleman asked me how many people i thought would be at the wedding, and what i thought we would have for meals. (just a ball park, an estimate he said) we hadnt even finalized the guest list and next thing i know he transferred my 'contract' to the villa and now i have a minimum spending! 100% my mistake for not being more cautious, but i felt a little duped in the end. with that being said, i would still choose the villa if i could go back and do it again. i waited all day for something to go wrong- no event this big can go perfect, i thought. the day came and went without the hint of a problem. the staff at the villa made it a completely stress-free day. they are absolutely fantastic and they gave me my dream wedding : ) read more

Attended a wedding there and the bar doesn't accept debit or credit cards. Beers are about $5 and mixed drinks ranged from $9 to $14. You would think that would be made very clear when booking this venue. The parents of the groom had no idea, nevermind myself who was just a guest. My husband and I had our wedding in the Madera Room at The Villa this past September, and we were blown away by the service we received. Katelyn, our coordinator, is a rockstar. She definitely knows how to coordinate a wedding. From all the details that came with decorating to keeping the wedding flowing nicely, she was unbelieveable. I had a very specific idea of how I wanted my wedding to look, and she did an even better job than I imagined. She is quick to respond to emails, and is very clear about all the details leading up to the wedding. The venue is beautiful. It has the feel of a very rustic, New England wedding, without being a barn. It was perfect for what we were envisioning. The adjacent cocktail room was also roomy, but still kept the cozy New England look. The food was amazing. Nothing was bad, which made choosing our menu impossible. They made sure to cater to all our requests- including stocking the bar with my father's favorite beer and having red sangria on hand for me! Overall, I could not have found a better place to have my husband and my wedding than the Villa. Katelyn truely made the event so memorable for us, and we can not thank her enough. Working with the team at Saphire Event Group made the wedding planning process seamless process from beginning to end. I always thought planning a wedding with a full time job and no planner was going to be overwhelming, but with our event producer, Elizabeth, I always knew what I needed to do and when to do it. Everything went so smoothly the day of and exactly how I envisioned it. The team overall is very quick to respond to any questions you might have throughout the process and never make you feel bad for asking them (I asked a lot of questions). The venue itself is gorgeous and the food is so delicious - I really wished I could have had a takeout box! A special shoutout to Alicia, our attendant, because she's a rockstar and my family and bridal party loved her attention to detail and she's a fun person to be around. Overall, a great deal too: the same wedding 10 miles closer to the city and it easily would have been double the price. I couldn't have been a more relaxed bride! Pro tip: get the cookies! read more

I had my wedding in the Madera Ballroom last year. The venue is beautiful and the food was amazing. My planner Erinn was lovely and very helpful. There were a few issues the week before the wedding with misunderstanding of prices (the venue gave us a contract with one price and the week before the price had increased and we still had to pay) The day of the wedding, everything ran smoothly. My bridal attendant, however, I only saw once. She spent most of the night with a groomsman flirting, and I was left to get my own food and drinks. No big deal, but that was her job and she was too busy to do it. I'm also waiting 3 months for a refund check. Emails get answered with promises but I haven't received it. read more

I really liked this venue. I attended a wedding here and I am sure it is a lot different when you are looking into renting the venue. However as someone that helps plan weddings I was impressed on how smooth the transition was for the wedding ceremony to the reception. The ceremony was in a nicely sized room with a quartet playing music while waiting for the ceremony to begin with nicely arranged chairs. Afterwards, there was a cocktail hour with cheese, strawberries, crackers and no host bar appetizers. I was observing how the wedding planner was ensuring things were on time and coordinating with the emcee of the various things like cake cutting, toasts, dances with parents etc. read more

My wife and I chose the villa after looking at many places. and we are so glad we did! the madera room is very beautiful and the outdoor ceremony was perfect!!! everything went according to plan and our wedding planner and producer was Stephanie. she was perfect!!! she made sure all our needs were met and she went above and beyond to help me plan a secret surprise performance for my wife. all of the staff was friendly and the food was DELISH!!! Considering all the available options we found them to be not only negotiable but reasonable on the prices. This is a review for a wedding I attended on a Sunday. The country club is gorgeous, and the weather was perfect. My one gripe was that since it was outside, there's the potential for the sun beating down on guests. But the ceremony was held in an encircled fenced off area. This made it very difficult to usher in the guests from the door to their seats would have taken too long. Also, there was no alternative entrance, so late guests would not be able to come in once the bride went in, and pretty much missed out on the ceremony. The social hour was fantastic though to fit 200 guests. But I think they should have 3-4 bartenders than just two, as the line got very long. I also do have a gripe with the wedding planner, it felt like it was her first one, and it wasn't very organized on the day of the wedding, as nothing worked out as planned and she wasn't very good at adapting to changes in plans. The reception was absolutely amazing and very elegant and beautiful. The dance floor does need to be bigger, as it got very crowded with only a limited amount of people who danced on it. The acoustics were great for the DJ. The bar could be better situated somewhere else, otherwise it's a long trek back and forth for one drink. I would say this is a great place to have a wedding. It would be perfect if the issues I mentioned were addressed. read more

My husband and I got married at the Villa on November 6, 2010. We truly could not have asked for a more wonderful wedding. Everything was absolutely perfect, and we almost can't believe that we were able to have such an amazing wedding at such a reasonable cost. Since we were getting married in November, we weren't too concerned with the outdoor space. The inside of the Madera Ballroom is what sold us. It has fireplaces at either end, with wood beams and dark wood floors. It's absolutely stunning. The fireplace to the left served as the perfect backdrop for our ceremony. We liked that the whole room had hardwood floors--it wasn't carpet with a separate wood dance floor. The floors add a lot to the whole ambiance of the room. The wood and the lighting were really perfect for a November wedding. I have no doubt that the room would be beautiful in any season. I could go on and on about how beautiful the whole building is, but I'll stop and move on to the food: in one word, DELICIOUS!! Even though we didn't include any upgraded options in our menu, everything got rave reviews. We only had one dinner option (chicken), but it was really fine, because everyone loved it. The few upgrades that we did were special add-ons (because we ended up with a credit when we decided to only offer one dinner option): little mugs of hot apple cider for guests as they arrived and ice cream lollipops during dessert. People are still talking about the ice cream lollipops! Now on to the Villa staff. Everyone who works there is so professional and accessible. We worked with Katelyn, and she was really a pleasure to work with. She was totally "on" all the time, ready to answer any questions, no matter how minor they seemed to us. Everyone there really knows how to plan a wedding. I can honestly say that NOTHING went wrong on the day of our wedding (as far as we could tell), and we owe that in large part to the Villa staff. They communicated with all of our vendors to coordinate the day-of setup, and everything went seamlessly. Really, I could keep writing, but I'll stop. The Villa is amazing. They are both so amazingly sweet, patient, and organized! They are so experienced with weddings, but more importantly they do have an individualized approach and make you feel so special on your day. I recently attended a wedding here. The bride & groom wanted to go take photos down near their famous bridge and was originally told it would be no problem. After 6 event coordinators, that soon went out the window. The bride had to flip out on the venue to get what she wanted. That caused her to be pissed off for the rest of the night.
