I felt as if she were reading from a script that she didn't want to read and that she had made up her mind that we were not the " type " of people whom she would want. Our loved one has the best insurance and if anything wasn't covered we could easily pay the cost. The odd thing about it is this facility does not have a on site physician , he must be called. The clients did looked engaged and healthy but after discussing it we decided NOT to consider this facility.

Our hearts were filled with peace the day mom became a resident at Somerford because we knew we had made the right choice for her care. Mom quickly became apart of the community. She enjoys the wonderful new friends and staff that she gets to interact with daily. She is physically and mentally stimulated each day with different activities, singing, games, and special events from the well trained staff. As in most cases my brothers and I had to figure out in a short time where to put Mom. We searched around the Inland Empire as our most convenient location since my brothers and sisters are scattered throughout the western United States. We looked around and happened upon Villas. From day one everyone at Villas went above and beyond helping answer the myriad of questions that we all had about moms care. We spoke to the staff at Villas and they put in simple terms how Mom would be taken care of how much the cost would be for the different levels of care that were available. The food service and also her medicines and how they would be handled. Needless to say we all feel very much at ease now knowing that mom is there at Villas. The place is immaculate the staff is professional and very gentle with mom. There are a lot of activities for all the guest and there are different levels of care that can accommodate any situation. We are very thankful for Villas and highly recommend this place to anyone that finds themselves in this difficult spot. Tommi and Gladys who helped us out with Mom are angels. My moms caregiver Dulce takes care of mom as we would if we could. This is the place for your mom or dad.

Other than those things she does all her own dressing, personal care, eating and is active in the community. The owner was Dan and the director was Tommi when she moved in. It was wonderful then. It was sold to Oxford Health Corp and the current director of the facility acts like he cares but then is unkind. The Director acts good to the residents when corporate comes to visit. He is very rude, disrespectful and condescending to my mother. The Villas is a less desirable place to live now compared to how it was. Making money and cutting programs, staff and the quality of the food is now the Corporations #1 priority, not the residents. The Receptionists, Activity Directors, Med Techs, direct care givers and Admin Assistant are wonderful people and really care about the residents. Although many of the caregivers are under trained and often short staffed so answering call buttons takes a long time. But that is the fault of their directors. Most of them are very kind, just not properly instructed. The food is not gourmet as they claim. They say they offer transportation but the bus is often broke down. The building, rooms and grounds are nice but if you have to share a room, due to financial reasons, be prepared for sharing a bathroom, refrigerator and to have competing noise with TVs, tablets, phone conversations and visitor conversations. The cost of the room is reasonable for all the amenities but if you need any kind of care the cost is ridiculous! So, why do we keep Mom there? Partly because she's 90 but mostly because she has built community with some of staff and residents and is willing to take the bad with the good!

I am the son of the couple looking for assisted living and memory care so I started this search and got the first couple tours. Chelsea was in charge of the tours and presenting pricing etc. to me/us. She did an outstanding job, is very educated on the facility, is a great salesperson, and also appears to be a great friend to everyone who lives there. There was no pressure and she was able to answer any questions. She even came in on a Sunday when that was the only day for my Dad to see the place. My parents are relocating from another state which made this all the more difficult, and Brightwater and Chelsea in particular really helped us out.

The activity was crafting a necklace and the coordinator was so patient and helpful. Braswells give me a confident feeling that my great aunt is cared for properly. Finally I realized she needed more than me to help her, so I toured Braswells Chateau Villa. Imagine my surprise when I received a nice welcome upon my arrival. Right away I noticed the spaciousness of the dining room and these beautiful high chandeliers. I got to listen to a resident play the piano beautifully in the lounge. I was impressed with the courtyard in the middle of the building with an elegant stone waterfall. I got to meet the activities director and got an activities calendar. Immediately I knew this was the right place for my mom. So, I moved her in and I am happy to see her thriving and wanting for nothing. Just what I wanted for her senior years. They don't have many of the amenities that they advertise and the ones they do have you have to pay for. Like wifi, parking spot, cable, & laundry. All are extra $$$$$ The rent is super expensive especially for this area of SB and all the apartments are cockroach infested. It's really sad because these seniors deserve better! So beware that you aren't fooled by the pics and their website.

We were put in an incredibly difficult situation because she was in a rehabilitation facility and her home has fallen into such disrepair that it is unlivable. The rehab facility only gave us 3 days notice to get her moved and the staff at Leisure Pointe made our search a very short one. Their residents are incredibly friendly and will let you know immediately what a great place it is. The room rates are VERY reasonable and include utilities, meals, housekeeping and tv. There are multiple activities every single day and movies downstairs every night. The food is delicious, I can vouch for it as I came and had lunch with my grandma before we moved her in. There is also a library and beauty salon on the premises. Overall the strong community atmosphere is what sold me though. My grandma has been a very social person her whole life, well composed, articulate, and surrounded by people. In the last few years it has broken my heart to see her sit alone in a dark house watching tv all day alone. She had been talking more and more about arrangements for when she passed away. Today when I saw her she was full of energy and life. She was talking about the people she was meeting and the tv was off. She didn't bring up funeral arrangements once. It's the happiest I've seen her in years. I'm so grateful to see her in a place that's not only closer to our home, but where she can be safe and surrounded by such positive, friendly people. I cannot thank the staff of Leisure Pointe enough for taking a very stressful time for us and helping us through it. For anyone looking for a community in the area I highly recommend you come and visit them.

My mom's carpet was held down by duct tape for a year. They never cleaned the carpet and we finally paid to have it done. The staff was hostile at times, as my mom was suffering from dementia before we finally moved her to a better place. Generally, the facility is nice. My mom liked the food and the other residents were kind and friendly. Important to remember -- they raised the rent by almost the legal maximum every year. We started at $3900 in 2019 and increased to $5400+ by 2024. They will gouge you if they can. Find another place
