This memory care facility is a nice place for my mom to receive 24/7 care. The staff is friendly and they have activities and events for the residents. The only area that I would request improvements on is the food. It does appear to be 'institutional food.' Not much fresh fruits and/ or veggies. My mom gets a lot more social interactions at Rose Garden, than she did at home, and her roommates and the planned activities keep her busy!, What a Blessing they are! read more

Review of Rose Garden, Senior Residence continued: So I talk on Monique's phone to Cassandra. Cassandra is demanding me to leave because it's past visiting hours even though Lily has told me that I can visit any time i want. Just the day before I was there until almost midnight. My dad is in Hospice... visiting hours do not apply to him. I keep telling her this and that hospice AND Lily has told me so...she keeps insisting that Lily is wrong and shouldn't have told me that! Incidentally, my sister had already called her earlier to say she would be there around 9 pm. It's already a little after 9 pm, and my sister has not arrived, I'm begging Cassandra to let me stay and wait for my sister! She tells me "yes, I talked to your sister and I gave her concession". Then, the truth comes out... she blurts out, "Look, I don't mind you being there, but I don't need people following my staff around... They have work to do." At this point, I'm holding back tears. My voice is shaking and I'm begging her to let me stay. She finally gives me till 9:30. It's already 10 minutes after 9, so I ask her "how about 10?" ...she won't give an inch ... I hang up and collapse onto the couch that I have just scrubbed clean!!! In shock, I sit there slumped and just start crying in front of the staring eyes of the laundry girl and Monique, who then has the gall to ask me "are you okay?" NO I'm not ok! My dad is dying!" (and YOU have just killed him!....I should've said. If I had only known!). And then she asks if she can give me a hug (and I'm like, "WHATEVER!") then proceeds to give me a stupid FAKE hug, then sits down beside me and tells me to call her if I need anything else. The laundry girl, however, was so sweet and gave me a very tight and sincere hug. She apologized to me and told me this whole thing was just sooo unacceptable. I haven't revealed her name because I don't want retaliation against her. I text my niece "where in the heck are you guys?"...Then I continue cleaning and scrubbing away the dried up poop on the floor of dad's room Then the triage nurse from Hospice arrives just before 9:30 and at this point, I realize, "this has bought me some time". I start telling her what just happened a little earlier. A few minutes later, my sister finally arrives. Cassandra has told HER that she can stay till 10:45. I continue relating what has just happened. The hospice nurse advises me to take it all the way up to administration. But... What do you do when administration IS the problem? Thank you for reading all the way to the end. This is only one of the appalling experiences I, and, more importantly my dad, sadly, had to go through with this place. My brother was sent to Rose Gardens 7/14/22 that I was told it a very good place for his condition. I was on vacation when he moved and immediately after vacation my husband and I went visit my brother and was not permitted in. We were told we needed an appointment, I told them we drove over an hour to get here and was never told of any appointments. We went to the business office where we met Christina, she was not pleasant and told us due to a Covid case we are not able to come in. I asked how many cases she said 1, at this time Morgan comes out and say we need to make appointment in advance. I asked is there any Covid cases she stated "no" we thought we had one. So I asked then why can't I come in to see my brother? She had someone bring him to the gate in a wheelchair, and still not able to enter. I had to get ombudsman involved to see my brother. Two months later we saw my brother and he was in horrible shape, had not been shaved or haircut since he arrived, Morgan is the administrator and told me she never saw my brothers room! How his that!? His room was grossly nasty no soap, toothpaste, paper towels, tissue, bath towels NOTHING! No ADLs for him at all had taken place, since I reported them to ombudsman immediately retaliation started. My brother had a major stroke in 2018 from that time he was never the brother I knew that sang, played piano, laughed danced, he was an electrician by trade. He know incontinent of urine and bow, unable to care for himself. Not even a week after ombudsman stepped in a staff member named Lilia called the police in my brother claiming he " attacked staff" mind you he is in a "Memory Care Facility" where patients with brain injury, dementia, Alzheimer's and other conditions are housed, but because they were upset with me and wanted him out at this time, the officers called me and said "no one is going to jail due to the type of facility he was in and thing like that happens. So that wasn't good enough they made another claim 3 days later and called police again, this time they had the right officer that didn't see a patient but saw a "BLACK MAN" they took my disable brother that wears a diaper chronic diabetic I unable care for himself to jail! Lilia called my phone yelling that my brother is leaving and I need to go get him from jail!" Knowing I pay rent for him and no 30day notice or any notice was served. They left him in jail over night, and again I had to call ombudsman to go and mediate this situation. They have notice to them that they are responsible to go pick him up and bring him back and follow the law! When he return the same horrible treatment continued he lost 15 lbs in the 4 months he was there, when I would call him at night he would tell me he was hungry, I would Grubhub him food, one night I bought Red Lobster and paid $65 and the staff would not go to the gate or answer the phone to get his food, so driver left it outside, never retrieved. November 18th my brother was sent to the hospital where he remains today, my brother since his stroke had not been able to communicate true feelings, but by the time I made it to the hospital I was greeted my social workers and staff telling me my brother has stated he does not want to return to Rose Gardens and he could not stop crying. My heart was broken. Whenever Rose Gardens name was mentioned he bust out crying! Rose Gardens needs a brand new Matured staffed and a internal investigation on Morgan and Lilia! And the office staff. One thing I have watched and noted is they will all back each others Lies. My brothers clothing and decor was stolen immediately! Closet and drawers were all empty l, I was told his things were in the laundry" how when he's doesn't leave his room and no one takes care of him. Below are pictures of my brothers room, all the hazards that were moved by my husband, all the empty hangers are clothing missing, drawers empty. They moved his room and it was left equally nasty. read more

These folks really helped us in a pinch when my mom suddenly needed assisted living care. The level of supervision is very high and the staff are very kind and loving and accepting. Very thankful for their assistance. read more

I went by this care center for a family member. Definitely not impressed. The staff seemed really nice but the facility itself was run down and definitely needed a complete overhaul. I would not feel comfortable placing my family member here. read more

My Brother is their now. I am not happy with the quality of care or the staffing levels. Twice my brother was left on the floor due to short staffing. They are short staffed all the time. Every time I go they got new staff. Clothes constantly missing and they blame it on the residents. Like they can take it from the facility. So many complaints. read more

I visited and toured many memory care facilities looking for the right community for my mom, Rose Garden told us about their Respite Care and we decided that would be perfect to see how mom would adjust to being in a home, without the pressure of binding ourselves to a contract so quickly, not knowing if this was the place for mom. We did respite care for 5 days , 3 different times . Then moved mom in about 2 months ago, Rose Garden is home away from home. Very welcoming with the most compassionate and caring staff. read more

Finding a memory care facility for my dad was a very tough thing to do. Fortunately, I never had a moments worry once he moved to Rose Garden. The units are nice and always clean. The grounds are beautiful, and they plan fun activities for the residents. My dad is well taken care of. They even take great care of the families too, very kind and informative. My mother has been at Rose Garden for almost 5 years now. I have seen many directors come and go and the current one, Tony is excellent. He has heart. His eyes are kind and he truly loves and cares about each resident. I never saw the other directors down in the main hall, but I have seen him many times. His staff is a reflection of who he is. My mother in law was at Rose Garden from 11/16 to 9/18. The level of care was very poor at best. She was assaulted twice by other residents and when she fell and broke her hip in September 2018 we were not notified. They simply got her up and sat her down. She was unable to walk so they just left her there in pain. We removed her at that point and paid what we thought was the final bill. They continue to bill us, now $22,810 even though she has not been there for months. I have spoken to the staff there and they tell me there is nothing they can do about it. That the corporate office makes those decisions. They have been unwilling to provide us with someone we can talk to. This is total BSAlzheimers is a terrible disease and those who take advantage of the families should be tried as criminals. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR LOVED ONES. I would give MINUS 5 STARS if that was an option. read more

I will just say this, do not leave anyone you love in this place. They may have changed in the last 2 1/2 yrs but it was their neglect that my father died. He fell and they did not call 911, he had a broken neck from the fall. If they were NOT neglectful, they we would have not won a court case. read more

I started looking for a Memory Care Facility for my Aunt who was Dx-w/Dementia, I had visited many local facilities before coming to the decision that Rose Garden would be the perfect place for my aunt. The Customer Service there was amazing, everyone is so welcoming. The walking grounds were very clean. Every time I go visit my Aunt at Rose Garden she is happy and smiling, and that is all that matters. read more

My grandfather, a veteran, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's a few years ago and caring for him was becoming difficult for my grandma. I started my search for communities and discovered Rose Garden in Mentone. Apparently they've experienced major changes over the last year and are under new management...and it shows! The place is very clean and completely secure with staff on site 24 hours a day. The quality care and customer service is second to none. Very impressive! Grandpa is well cared for and we're treated like kings. They even offer free car washes to the families of the residents! I'd highly recommend Rose Garden to anyone seeking quality care for a loved one. read more

Rose Garden has nice size rooms, nicely furnished. The garden area is a large spacious area with lots of places for residents to sit & visit with family & friends. This gorgeous garden area is like a park setting. Roseanne was so thourgh with all financial matters and with our tour. This facility is truly a place for Mom.
