However, my husband and I both tried to put a lid on the drink and couldn't get it, so we had to ask one of the baristas to do it. The espresso is pulled for a smooth shot. Their offerings resemble those of corporate coffee shops, despite some of the indie trappings. The beans come from a national wholesaler, and many specialty drinks are based on syrup flavors. I get the impression that this used to be an indie shop but that its character changed as it scaled up. The upshot is that they make generally agreeable coffee drinks that cost a little more than usual.
