Their display of goodies --pastries, bagels, cookies looked absolutely yummy. We ended up getting a. Hoco late chip cookie which was delicious. The shop is located in the main part of downtown Casey, a block from the World's largest rocking chair! It's an adorable town with a small town atmosphere. The service was swift and the staff pleasant.

Even the menu had original coffee recipes dedicated to each of the Harry Potter houses. I'm not sure if this coffee shop was originally Harry Potter-themed or if it was only for a limited time, but the first thing I noticed when we walked in was how cute and cool all of the decor was. Service-wise, the baristas were personable and so fun. I wouldn't shut up about how cool the shop was, and they appreciated it and asked where we were from and what made us stop in their small town. We talked for a while, and I ended up ordering The Chocolate Frog under the Ravenclaw house. I got my drink fast and the barista told me to crack my cup when I was ready to drink it because of the crackling chocolate on the cup. When I was served my drink, they didn't put the lid on it because customers do it themselves in case they want to put anything extra inside. However, my husband and I both tried to put a lid on the drink and couldn't get it, so we had to ask one of the baristas to do it. She explained a trick she uses to easily get them on, and we were on our way. Seriously, such nice people working here! The latte was absolutely to die for. It was smooth, flavorful, and absolutely amazing, so it makes me very sad that I won't be able to have it again for a long time, if ever again. They need to open this place by me in Chicago or the suburbs!

Meh. Service isn't that friendly. I felt like we were annoying the barista by even being there…read more Latte was decent. The tea had stevia in it (wtf??) which I personally think is the most disgusting and disappointing sweetener out there. Super weird for it to be a part of the tea bag, IMO. Ambiance? I would LOVE to spend more time there. I love local artists and the vibe there is really great. Soothing, relaxing, chill... but... I go to a coffee shop for the coffee and/or tea and if that's not great and if the barista is annoyed... I'm not going to stick around for the ambiance. (Also, with a name like Avionics, I was expecting a little more decor along that line. So if you're interested in aviation and airplanes, don't come here thinking you've found a fellow aficionado.)

Had great indoor decor -- as some previous reviewers said, it had a interesting combination of modernism and nature. However, food was not as good as environment. The menu was very limited (together with my friend we already covered the whole menu lol). I saw on Yelp that they offered the Lox Plate and Avocado Stack, which looked pretty amazing. Unfortunately they do not offer these any more. The lox bagel was super small, so were the egg sandwich and granola. The sandwiches tasted OK, but the granola was way too sweet for me. Luckily the price was reasonable. Not very likely to come here again as it offers too few things now. They do offer more drinks than food. So in general due to its decor and the fact that not many people go there, it would not be a bad choice to study or work here anyway.

We are very picky…read moreabout our cold brew, and it was within the range we could accept-- not overly acidic, strong roasted flavor but not overshadowed by the bitterness. It hit all the checkmarks for us. Even after a day old it was still reallly good. Server was also super helpful in getting us suggestion for another specialty drink. We avoided the sweeter ones so landed on the London smog latte with steamed oat milk, 2 shots of expresso, earl gray and cane syrup. The earl gray flavor was just perfect with the coffee and oat aroma. One of the best flavors coffee we've had. After the tea got steeped for a while it got a bit too strong but I still liked it at a lot. I love that it's aromatic without being overpowered by sweetness.

The espresso is pulled for a smooth shot. Their offerings resemble those of corporate coffee shops, despite some of the indie trappings. The beans come from a national wholesaler, and many specialty drinks are based on syrup flavors. I get the impression that this used to be an indie shop but that its character changed as it scaled up. The upshot is that they make generally agreeable coffee drinks that cost a little more than usual.
