Buyer Beware: Polite and professional service, their catering is satisfying ( sandwiches). Sadly their Cheeseburger Delux is not recommended. Their burgers come under cooked and fries are dry and uncooked as well.

Great new Italian specialty market. Friendly atmosphere. The sub rolls are very good.

This establishment is outstanding. I only wish that more people came ,so that they have to waste such good food at closing!

However, their grilled chicken salad with mozzarella and roasted red peppers is filled to the brim and delicious.

Balancing out the good and the bad…read more Good: A less expensive supermarket. In a town with Walmart (el cheapo) and Kings (el supremo), this falls in the middle and is the market of choice for most locals. Bad: Toward the lower end of the middle. A step below places like ShopRite in terms of produce quality. Others have talked about the quality of the vegetables and the meats. Check your produce carefully. Check your meat carefully and be prepared for the preparation date to be in the immediate future. Good: Then again, prices are toward the lower end of the middle. When I went today, while I didn't end up getting meat, I looked it over and everything I saw looked good. Bad: Still poorly organized aisles. Popcorn aisle is one before the chips aisle... which contains popcorn. There were multiple people working the floors. I didn't interact with them, but I did not see a pronounced lack. The place feels cleaner lately than it has in the past. Since much of my shopping is for fresh ingredients, I still don't see myself coming here much. But nothing screams "STAY AWAY". 3 stars, right down the middle.

Is this a NJ thing?! I was with my elderly parents who needed help. You had to buy a $4.99 bag. Didn't even have paper bags for .05 purchase. I've now learned it is a NJ thing. I was not impressed. The store did appear to be clean and orderly. Just very disappointed in the lack of training with appropriate customer service. Teach these young kids some manners, social skills and customer service. Obviously this is a poor reflection on the management.

I do believe it is family owned an independent and that's one thing I love about New Jersey is there is plenty of delis and other food options that are still independent! They must have over 50 bagel sandwich options here for you to choose from. So many choices and just pick one that works well with you and roll with it. My husband had one of their breakfast bagels that had a lot of pretzel salt on the bottom and I was there for it. It's very salty and not for everyone but I loved it and I kept sneaking little bites of his bagel where I could. There's about five or six tables to sit at and it's a small place but so glad it's there and hope they stick around for a while! Very friendly service From the staff at the counter with a nice family friendly ambience.

Enter Boonton Bagels. Just like Time for a Bagel in Morris Plains, you walk into a long, narrow building where it's awkward to find a place to stand and wait. I ordered a double egg, and cheese on a poppy - with egg prices as of 2025, I'll take them where I can get them. Food came out fairly quick, and I had a chance to look at all the spreads - again, typical bagel joint. The verdict? Not quite ready to commit yet. I enjoy the poppy saturation of the bagel, done well so most of them actually stayed on as I ate. I requested no toast, my bagel was untoasted. But the bagel was a bit thin and underflavored to earn a 5th star. The egg was fresh cooked, cheese was a bit sparse, again maybe a little lacking in flavor. Overall? A pleasant breakfast nook in Boonton. If the other places nearby don't top it, I can see myself coming back here, trying different bagels (like the French Toast!) and schmears, maybe working this into my regular food rotation. Four for now.
