The Villas at Stanford Ranch is the best assisted living facility in Rocklin. As a private, caregiving contractor I have operated in countless facilities in the greater Sacramento area. Each has its strengths and weaknesses, but The Villas stands above them all thanks to Grayson Tynes, Executive Director, and Nikki Zukic, the Director of Memory Care. Both have set the gold standard for providing personal care to their residents and for creating an active and supportive community. My role as a private caregiver--hired by the families of residents--means I have an objective and unbiased assessment of every facility I work in. I am an advocate and mandated reporter first and foremost, so I have a duty to observe everything. This means watching how the staff interacts with residents, how the facility itself is maintained, etc. My experience at The Villas over the past six years, during which I have had clients there, has been very positive. Each of the aforementioned directors has taken the time to listen to my feedback and observations, which, in turn, has allowed us to exchange ideas and suggestions. Their professionalism, integrity, and genuine commitment to their residents are unmatched. Staffing is and will always be an issue at every facility; I have seen the worst to the very best at all of them. It is an unavoidable element due to the nature of the industry. So I will not pretend that any one place is perfect. However, The Villas has seemingly been the most proactive in both hiring and letting staff go (to put it nicely). This approach has ensured a consistent, effective level of care for residents. Every day I see the staff, from caregivers to servers and even those in maintenance, go above and beyond to help and provide hospitality to the residents. They've cultivated a safe, welcoming environment for everyone to thrive and maintain their autonomy. The directors also make themselves available, being on the floor and present, which is uncommon in many facilities. It is a challenging task finding a new place to call home, whether for yourself or a loved one, but I would highly recommend visiting the Villas. We had the pleasure of having my father live in Memory Care for 5 years at The Villas. Dementia is a hard disease for any family to deal with. But the love, support a genuine care for my father and our family was more than I could have hoped for. Grayson Tynes the Executive Director and Nikki Zurkic Director of Memory Care, set a very high standard and communication with me and my family was always outstanding. There are several staff members that always stood out to me for the care my father provided. Jocelyn, Michelle, Jamie, AD and private care staff members Scott. They always had his best interests at heart, and I truly appreciate every one of them. My Father was very happy there and loved all his new friends. I am certain that every one of them played a role in his success there. Even though he suffered with Dementia, he knew and appreciated them and all they did for him, that was very clear to me. Overall, my experience with The Villas was outstanding. I would recommend them to anyone seeking a comfortable, safe place for their loved one. It would be nice if they offered trash pickup at the door and the food was better. The staff is very nice but the menu needs help. I understand that this is a independent living and assisted living. The monthly cost is overpriced for the quality offered. I would recommend looking in Folsom or Davis or El Dorado hills . There are much nicer places that have better food and services . The cost is roughly $8000 a month. read more

Our mom has just moved in (about a month ago) and we cannot say enough good about this place ! Every detail is thought out and they make sure it works for those on a walker (ie places to leave walker at the dining hall ) or those without. The courtyards are beautiful and so peaceful. With a bit of furniture from moms home it feels cozy and comfy for her Also the activities are there if you want - just the right amount. Would you call it Stonewalling? No one can argue that the Villas is a beautiful place. In fact, we were all set to sign the contract and have my mom be a resident there. Well, until I was told by the Sales and Marketing (S/M) gal "LMM" that something my family said at the invitation lunch "made the staff feel uncomfortable" and the Villas decided to pass on having my mother move in. I have asked (many times) for an explanation as to exactly what made that staff member "feel uncomfortable" but have been ignored. I left a voice message on the Director's voice mail "GT" - silence. I have asked the S/M gal "LMM" via email and voice for some kind of explanation - silence. Is stonewalling professional? All I can do is guess at this point. Perhaps it was the fact that we asked the young server what she studied at school? My review is that if you decide on the Villas, be aware that if your loved one isn't up on the norms of the young generation (ie don't ask too many personal questions) they might be accused as making the staff "feel uncomfortable". Having said that, they did us a favor as we found a better place in the area. read more

After touring many senior care communities, we selected The Villas for my grandmother. She loves it there and we know she is receiving wonderful care. It is always a pleasure to visit her and have attended some of the entertainment events that were fun. There was an Elvis impersonator on New Years Eve. read more

Beyond disappointed with how they treat their staff. Sandy is a bully and very unprofessional. She is 61 and making the young staff cry. Unacceptable. When this was brought to the attention of the higher ups, nothing was done and 6 people had to resign because of her. I can't believe that a grown woman would be so verbally abusive to staff that have been resident favorites for over 2 years. Something needs to change. She had no consequences for her actions and that is absolutely absurd. She works in the kitchen. read more

I can hear G for the very first time to fill out a job application I figure it doesn't hurt to go in and fill out an application that way we can handed out to whatever boss may need it this establishment is gorgeous it is very clean very beautiful have a nice clean smell to it very beautiful dining dining room very beautiful living room very friendly staff the food smelled amazing that was being cooked in the kitchen it is definitely a nice warm comfortable atmosphere the living room even has a fireplace to keep warm in This is definitely a very nice place for the seniors to live in they offer independent living and assisted living and memory care The lady working the front desk was very sweet and helpful and Mary nice to give me an application to fill out made my experience you're very nice I highly recommend this establishment for anybody looking for a new home for your grandmother or grandfather or family or friend who is looking for a nice retirement home this place definitely has it all it is gorgeous and I can't say enough good things about it I will definitely be coming back here again soon for more future visits in more great experiences to come thank you the village at Stanford Ranch you guys are very awesome read more

I am extremely disappointed with this place. Our loved one is in the memory care Villa Stella. They have not provided any of the promised care! Base care of 6,400$ a month, And they don't provide toilet paper!! And they told us this today after 11 months of living there! Looking for a new place!! So So disappointed in the care!!! The woman in charge of memory care has the excuse of "I've only been here for two months" spoke to her about our issues already and today she told me the same thing she told me the last time I spoke to her. I feel like they depend on the fact that my loved one can not tell me when anything is wrong!! So sad!!! read more

It was heart breaking to lose my dad and then have to find a place for my mom who has dementia. I was grieving and worried about putting my mom in a home. I cannot tell you enough how amazing The Villas at Stanford Ranch has been. They helped me figure out how to transition my mom from her home to the Villas and what the best care for her would be. The place is beautiful and looks more like a nice hotel than an old persons home. There are so many activities that my mom is even getting more exercise now. My husband has been a resident at The Villas at Stanford Ranch's Assisted Living wing for the last year and a half. It is a beautiful facility with a caring and competent staff. His needs are met, his medications dispensed with care, his welfare is looked after with patience and kindness. Even though the COVID pandemic has curtailed some activities and dining room accessibility, the management has made great efforts to accommodate the physical, mental, and emotional welfare of the residents. I applaud The Villas for its conscientious handling of the quarantine restrictions in order to provide the residents with a safe and healthy environment during this difficult time. read more
