    Cabinet pulling off the wall

This place really makes itself look amazing. But is in reality the definition of lipstick on a pig. We had multiple 2 bedroom suites and they were all completely different. Our trip began with walking into our suite to find a tv circa 2000 which brought back memories of my childhood but the picture was awful. Then one of the fridges was not getting cold. We inquired 2 times and the owners told us "that's normal from when people leave the door open, give it some time to cool down" We then, on our own discovered a block of ice formed in the freezer. Using a hairdryer we melted the block which then fixed the fridge. The bathrooms were all at different stages of partial renovation, most got a tile tub surround and a (terrible) coat of paint leaving the mint bathtub and sinks behind. Holes in the walls where towel rods had been ripped out, unpainted areas showing from where mirrors were changed. the toilet seat was loose, they sent maintenance who spent about 20 min and did absolutely NOTHING to fix it. In the kitchen There were 2 poorly mounted cabinets on the wall with not nearly enough storage space. In the utensils drawer was an eclectic grouping of random utensils with no rhyme or reason along with used hairties and dirt (we opted not to use any of this). We felt that something wasn't quite right in the floor which is when we discovered a significant drop in the kitchen which literally ripped the lower cabinets off the wall and has the fridge leaning against the stove. The stove which out of 3 rooms only 1 had a working large burner. They did "fix" the other 2. The microwave in 1 unit had a glass plate from a different model which meant it didn't turn at all. One other microwave didn't work at all. The bedrooms were small and the furniture (different in every room) didn't fit very well. The beds consist of box springs with some sort of strange combination of foams stacked together inside a cotton mesh. They had no fitted sheets so it wouldn't stay on the mattress through the night. They mattresses weren't bad actually however the "headboards" that were crudely attached to the wall behind the beds weren't impressive. One of the bed frames actually BROKE dropping one of us to the floor. We discovered on our own that they hodge-podged together a universal frame with only 1 support in the middle on a queen (supposed to be 3). Their solution was to bring in 2 foldable cot frames and stuck them under the mattress/box spring making the bed so tall our 1 guest had to climb on the dresser to get on. We had ants in our unit the entire time and many of them managed to come home with us. There were bees around our front porch so bad to the point we had to buy bee spray to handle it. The gutters were clogged and dumped water all around the porches splashing dirt on our stuff. On to the joke of a parking lot. The driveway is so narrow our pickup trucks could barely stay on the terrible pavement. The assigned parking spots are nowhere near their units and pulling out of the spots is very difficult because of the awful layout/berm. Also the grills sit right at the curb line making any sort of overhang on the spots difficult. During our stay the maintenance guys were cutting holes in the driveway causing even more difficulties. There is NO ICE MACHINE on-site, we had to walk to the marina next door and buy for $3 a bag. The dock fees for our boats were $100 a day and they said they're increasing to $200 a day next year! They had rowboats and kayaks available no charge but the paddles were all in poor condition making use somewhat difficult. The beach is about 3-5' long and is basically a small hill, once you step off the concrete barrier. Lots of grass to sit on but more than half of the lounge chairs were missing straps or broken. We luckily we're almost the only people staying there for a week but they day before we left people started coming in and the "beach" became very quickly overcrowded. Don't let me forget that most of the maintenance staff and ALL of the "housekeeping" speak ZERO English and have to use translator apps and phone notes to communicate. While we were there we saw maintenance doing numerous grounds keeping upgrades such as flower beds, lights, and paint. All of this just before Labor Day (end of season) when all of these other issues exist. The owners were always very nice, The pool was very nice, the grounds are very well kept and hold up the appearance of a beautiful resort from the outside. On the inside, peeling paint, misaligned floors, sinking structure, cheaping out on upgrades and upkeep, terrible parking, tiny steep beach, overpriced docking, you make your own decision but we will NEVER be staying here again.

Love this place cleam accommodation and friendly staff Heaven on Earth kind of place.

If you're traveling with young children, you should know that there is no beach area where they can gradually go into the water. The stairs off the dock are the only way in, but our group of non swimming 3-5 year olds did fine with floaties. The only disappointing thing was that there was no shampoo or soap in the bathrooms. For the price of this home, I feel that this should be included. Also, you should know that there are no spices. If you're planning to cook in, which we did every night, you will need to bring your own spices, olive oil, etc. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, crock pot, coffee maker and plenty of dishes. We had a wonderful week! There were 18 of us ranging from 1 to 88 and there was plenty of room.

Properties are beautiful and well appointed but they are notorious for after charges with claims. My recent stay I was not happy that they don't release the address until check in time especially when traveling 3 hours to get there. Overall, the unit was relatively clean, although I did find hair left in the shower and cobwebs in the bunk area. The hot tub had not been cleaned and, despite being covered, was full of leaves and bugs. The shower water pressure was extremely weak and noticeable cob webs throughout the home. Also, the bunk bed is listed as a king bed, which is inaccurate. Despite these issues, I was happy with my stay and was even considering booking one of their properties again. Several days after my stay I discovered an unexpected $500 charge on my credit card with absolutely no notice or warning. When I checked the app to find out what the charge was for, I found a message from the host simply stating: "stained linens throughout the rental." This accusation was both vague and unreasonable. We barely used the rental and only slept in one of the 3 beds and followed all check out rules to leave the unit spotless. To be charged $500 after the fact, without any prior communication, photos, evidence, or opportunity to discuss the issue, was extremely disappointing and has completely changed my opinion of this property management company. After contacting Vrbo to dispute the charge and multiple attempts to contact the property with no response. northern provided photo proof of alleged soiled linens. 1. A kitchen towel/rag that had signs of food on it (washable), 2. A pillow case with a slight soiled spot (washable) and 3. A towel that had dirt marks on it (washable). All issues were normal use and could be washed and definitely did not result in the need to replace: as requested by northern to the extent of 1. 2 pillow shams (only one was soiled) 2. a new comforter which they had no proof of any damage to 3. New dish towel 4. 6 full sets of towels (only one set was even used - they provided 3 total - 1 set for each bed and the unused ones remained folded in place where they were placed by northern) Potential guests should be aware of the possibility of additional charges, inaccurate bed sizes and most important significant post-stay charges and proceed with caution. Inspect every inch upon arrival and before departure and take photos and videos. Or even better. Don't stay at their properties at all.

In that time period, there have been many ebbs and flows to the quality of the experience. Right now appears to be a significant downturn. When the new ownership group took over a few years ago, we were hopeful. Rooms were refreshed a bit, new bedding and towels were purchased. Since then, it's been a steady but slow decline. We always stay in the same rooms, and the shower in room 29 has been leaking in the same spot for the past 3 years now. The deck to room 30 is rotting away and was absolutely filthy when we arrived. The sheets on two of the three beds in room 30 were stained. The entire building ran out of propane our first night there, so there was no gas for the stoves or any hot water our first day and a half. The grill on our deck was absolutely filthy and had old food lodged under the grill plates. The stove's burner was partially disassembled and had soot all over the place. These are oversights that never would have occurred when Eric was running the show. While all of these oversights throughout the property have happened, the costs has grown exorbitantly under the new ownership group. It's a terribly sad thing to see. The location is still fantastic, and the front-facing staff there are still wonderful, but it seems like the absent ownership is taking the profits from this property and putting them into their other properties in the Lake George property. We'll probably give The Juliana one more chance purely for nostalgia's sake, but if we don't see significant improvement next year, it will sadly be time to move on. There are far too many properties up and down the lake to accept what The Juliana is providing for the price point they are charging.

No one slept well because of a safety light on the path next door shining in the rooms. Master bedroom upstairs has doors to a small balcony overlooking the main living area. There are no shades or curtains on these doors so you can't have the lights on in the kitchen area or dining area without them shining in the bedroom. There are three random wall lights but not a single switch turns them on. There were dishes in the dishwasher, food on the spatula, and food stuck on the cutting board. There was hair in the upstairs bathtub. The downstairs bathroom was clean and the shower curtain looked freshly laundered. The extra blankets snelled strongly of someone's perfume in places. Unlike other condos or rentals we've stayed in there were not the general provisions in a full kitchen like you might expect. Such as salt, pepper, You cannot adjust the temperature. That lil B word thermostat just kept saying...... but my family likes it cold. So instead we opened up windows, but awesome sauce theres no screens on the windows. If you happen to stay the weekend of a wedding, you can hear the music from the festivities in the condos. There were fireworks offered by the wedding party, which usually I'd be jazzed about. They were at 9:45. We're in the season where it's dark out by 7:30. Just my personal opinion, they should be an hour after sunset in any season if your in a highly populated area.
