Just went to a wedding there and the venue was absolutely beautiful. They originally planned for an outdoor ceremony but it rained, the indoor space was fortunately also stunning. The food was just fine, but we never expect wedding food to be the best meal of your life. Dinner service was wonderful and all the people assigned to assist the bridal party were great. My one critique, and I wonder if anyone else feels the same, but I have a strong suspicion that they water down their drinks? The "champagne" that's provided throughout the night is only 5%, but I've had several other mixed drinks throughout the night and never once felt any sort of buzz. Upon reflection, the amount I drank I should've really been at minimum very tipsy. My husband felt the same. No one at the party seemed visibility drunk and yet everyone had a drink in their hand most of the night. Not that we go to weddings to get hammered, but the family is paying for open bar and this would mean they're getting ripped off, yes? The dance floor was also a bit lackluster and some liquid courage would've helped I'm sure. I guess just keep this in mind when looking at this place for your venue! read more

First impression: wow! The day we went to visit we were greeted with a glass of champagne. We toured the multiple rooms available and when sat down to discuss the prices and availability we were surprised with a gourmet meal: sliders, veggies, lobster rolls, charcuterie board and steak. Megan was VERY accommodating which was totally needed when people don't know how to rsvp On time. Megan was always available to answer questions and ease us during a stressful period. The day of, everything was set up the way we envisioned. Konstantin and his staff were beyond attentive. They made sure everyone was taken care of no matter who you were. I'm absolutely blown away by the way they handled helping me plan a prom (in a pandemic) for my students. DAWN is an ANGEL who never flinched during every change (there was a date change....they rented a tent for us for dancing....etc) with grace and no sweat often calming me down at times when I thought this was impossible. The venue is immaculate and the staff are top notch. This prom was better than some $200 a plate weddings I have attended. The amount of food during the cocktail hour, dinner buffet (the tortellini was awesome) and the dessert bars was so overwhelmingly spectacular and the kids were so happy. I've lived in Randolph for 35 years and I've been to this place many many times. Year after year as a member of the Randolph fire department for Fire Department functions and my son's school hockey dinners. It's always been a crappy venue, but they hit an all time low on Thursday September 7. I was there for my nephews wedding. The maître d' was rude n a total jerk. First off one of the older guests (in her late 70s) went to the bathroom. On her way back to her table she stop and took one of the desserts. The maitre d literally yelled at her that dessert is not open till 10pm. It was 9:50. He also went to the groom at the end of the night and asked for a tip! My nephew had been drinking and wasn't thinking so he gave him money. He didn't realize until later that he had already paid all gratuity when he paid the final bill for the wedding. They made funnel cake that were so hard I bet they were made the day before. The dinner is ok. I got 2 little chucks of meat, about 6oz. A small lump of potatoes n 2 carrots slices. You are only allowed 1 glass of water per person all night. Couldn't get ANYONE to refill my water glass! Had to go to the bar just for water. I guess they don't want you to have to pee. Because the only bathroom is in the basement. Sadly I my son and two nieces are all getting married within the next two years. I wouldnt let them even look at this place. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. There are a bunch of crooks, corrupt places to do business with. I had a wedding event booked for June 2024, (I gave my deposit in August 2023/ 10 months in advance). I paid a deposit of $3,000. Sadly a month later, we realized the wedding could not happen. I contacted them to cancel the date, the venue had 8 months ahead to re-book; however, they refused to issue a refund. The individual I was working with was Brielle, all of sudden she became very arrogant and unprofessional when she responded to my email requesting a refund. She talks very grumpy to me on the phone when I am asking for my hard-earned money. They sent me another contract with an exception speculating they are willing to give me a refund if they find another booking for the same date and the same price value or greater. Again this was all lies and manipulation as I have no control over their booking records. It became difficult to get updates if the venue was re-book until March 2024. When I called in March 2024, they told me "Oh yeah the place is booked for a small party with less value, therefore we cannot give you a refund". I even proposed to receive half of the deposit which would be &1,500, but they denied it. For a company to just steal 3,000 without providing any services at all is purely unethical, dishonest, and fraudulent behavior. Stay far away. I will not recommend my worst enemy to do business with them. I will explore seeking legal action, and follow up with the Better Business Bureau and the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs. read more

We had a family gathering here and the venue was spectacular. It was not only clean and accessible, but also beautifully decorated. We started with a cold appetizer buffet that had a variety of delicious options - cheeses, fruits, pasta dishes, and salads. That was followed by a hot buffet with salmon, chicken, pasta, and vegetable side dishes. There was also a turkey carving station with pureed sweet potatoes and gravy. For dessert, we had a selection of small cakes and coffee. All of the offerings were tasty and well-prepared. The service was excellent, too. The servers were attentive and made sure the entire event went off without any problems. I have nothing but amazing things to say about our wedding at the Meadow Wood. The venue was STUNNING, and an alarming amount of guests told us it was the best wedding ever - highlighting the food, the service, and the beauty of the venue. And we have a lot of picky italians in our family, so this rave review is a HIGH accomplishment! Guests are still texting me saying they are "still thinking about the Meadow Wood pizza station." The entire process from beginning to end was seamless, mainly due to Brielle, who was our event coordinator. She was extremely personable and down to earth, but she backed up her cool and collected demeanor with a hard working, responsive, and detail-oriented approach. Most of the reason I initially felt so strongly about booking at the Meadow Wood was because of how impressed I was with Brielle. Even after the initial booking, she worked incredibly hard to ensure that we were comfortable and prepared for the wedding day. The wedding went off without a hitch because of her organization and communication. On the day of the wedding, everyone on the staff makes you feel like family. Frank was the m'atre d, handling the day-of logistics. He was extremely hospitable and organized. My bridal party, immediate family, and makeup artist felt right at home and everyone knew where they needed to be. He pulled off a seamless ceremony and many people commented on how organized it was. Our bridal attendant, Brenda, was also invaluable when it came to delivering us drinks, helping me get around, and packing up our meals at the end of the night! Such a nice touch. I 20/10 recommend this venue to couples that want a wedding where they can actually enjoy their time and be present, rather than focusing on details. I came here for Mother's Day Grand Buffet. They have valet parking which makes it very easy when arriving and if you come wheelchair bound. Upon entering, everyone is greeted with a complimentary glass of Raspberry Italian Spumante . Then as you walk around there's a wall with fresh donuts hanging up and you can take as many as you like. Everyone is seated in a very large ballroom. The Meadow Wood Manor has been completely redecorated. The decor is beautiful with lovely chandeliers and neutral colors all around. They use soft blue and purple lighting to give the hall and the ballroom an elegant glow. The tables in the ballroom are a decent size. The room is very large so you're not squeezed in like sardines. It was very comfortable sitting at the large round table. I noticed the Meadow Wood Manor made accommodations for a man in a wheelchair who sat directly across from our table. He was wheeled right up to the table and the chair was removed, it was easy peasy. The staff was truly wonderful. We had not one but two waiters. Our drink order was immediately taken. I was asked if I ever ate there before. Our waiter explained to our table about the buffet. I got up and walked down the hall to another very large room where all the food was strategically placed. They even had the kids food placed lower so they could reach it with supervision. The first thing I saw was the breakfast items. There was an OMELETTE STATION-Omelettes made to order with toppings. BRUNCH STATION- Frittatas, Stuffed French Toasts, Potatoes, Sausage, and Bacon etc.Then I moved on to the SEAFOOD STATION-Shrimp Cocktail Boat. I rented the Meadow Wood location in Randolph for my daughter's sweet 16 celebration. The general manager, Charlie is an intolerant racist man who lacks any sense of hospitality. He was also highly confrontational. No public apology for his actions was ever made by the owner. That indicates that the conduct was appropriate. I was required to complete my own setup. I must congratulate Frank operation's manager for being such a terrific host the grounds staff, as well as the waitstaff and bartenders, who were all excellent. All of my setup had to be done by me. The general manager was awful, and Ashley in particular pretty disrespectful. For any event for a person of color, The Meadow Wood in Randolph should not be used. For a fully inclusive event that I paid more than $10,000 in this economy. Racist event, location, people of color beware. read more

As beautiful as this venue is - you would expect to be treated respectfully. Although our tour was absolutely amazing and we were ready to book them less than 24 hours of seeing it, that is when everything went down hill and they handled it very poorly and continued to lie. Lie after lie, phone call after phone call and multiple emails - I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. I have emails to show for it! Wedding planning is suppose to be a fun and exciting experience more so when it comes to looking at venues and the experience that the meadow wood staff gave us was everything but that. So it went like this - my fiancé and I went to look at the venue on Friday afternoon, we fell in love with it and it was everything we wanted and were willing to go a bit over budget and make our guest list bigger just to get the bigger room even though the smaller one was just as beautiful too. Since this was only the second venue, we saw we wanted to ensure it was the one as we had two other tours for the next morning. So we left there around 5, they were holding our date for us until Monday! Reminder this is Friday, So! Saturday late morning, I gave them a call and said that the meadow wood was the venue we would love to have for our wedding day and we want to go ahead and book it. Perfect, fabulous - she scheduled us to come in the next day, Sunday to do deposit! An hour before our appointment to come in and do everything, Our contact emailed me, did not even call - emailed me stating that she is so sorry but her colleague booked their family friend that day over booking our hold that we had until Monday! So we were going back and forth via email, finally called - was told I would get call back. The owner called me and apologized and told me that they were going to make this right, it was our date - everything will be fine we are going to connect with the team and get in touch with the other couple... Our contact literally emailed me the same thing so we felt they were making it right and it'll all be okay... little did we know we were just being rigged along, after saying we will follow up with you on Monday and then not having an answer to then saying Tuesday definitely we were getting a call to talk through with everything. We never got a call - so after calling 3 times on Wednesday to speak to our contact I was told she was out until Saturday.. ha! Okay well we can't prolong our wedding process until Saturday so let me speak with the owner. I was told he would give me a call back within the hour... never happened so I called again... at that point I reiterated why I needed to urgently talk to him, the lady literally said ohh that was my couple that was booked and I was not told anything was being discussed to change their date... WOWWWW BAFFLED! SPEECHLESS AT THIS POINT. So at that point hearing that just was even more frustrating and confirming that we're being lied to about the whole situation and they weren't in fact making it right all because it was a colleagues family friend... okay sooo we see how that goes now. You don't treat everyone equally right.... I called back a third time and they said the owner will call me by 7, never did... This whole situation is so *UCKED up. If they were doing this now to us I could have only imagined how our wedding day would of went and once you loose trust in your venue that's that. Done wasting my time and you know what. Everything happens for a reason. We booked our venue - we chose THE GRAND IN TOTOWA and let me tell you... THE GRAND is absolutely stunning and we cannot wait to get married here. We honestly are so happy, everything happens for a reason and we got so lucky to be able to have THE GRAND for our big day. Beautiful venue after the renovations but be aware of Dawn (sales) and Chris (the General Manager) who are extremely poor professionals in all aspects!!! Ensure that your contract clearly states what time you have a specific room or the venue for. In our contract, it explicitly stated that we would have X rooms from 9am-4pm and all cleanup must be completed by 4pm. Another wedding was booked by this management at the same timings of ours (probably to make up for their losses in the last year they are double/triple booking) and we were asked to revise our timelines a day before the wedding, completely unacceptable!!! Even when we had numerous walkthroughs with our coordinator and this management team. During the day of the wedding, not a single staff member from Meadow could be found for assistance (words from our Coordinator herself). Guests had to ask numerous times for adequate water in the heat. While taking photos, staff asked us to "hurry up" so that the next party could begin arriving (this was at close to 12pm - again contract stated clean up needed to be done by 4pm, never said in the contract that we needed to exit the garden at a certain time). Chris himself can be seen ripping chair sashes off of the chairs to rush us out. My husband and I had gone in person to speak to Dawn and Chris about the behavior of their staff/them. They took down notes and stated they would follow up with management on next steps. We never heard back for weeks. Finally we called and Dawn said management was extremely busy and from our in person meeting, she didn't understand what we were looking for and never got the impression we were upset. WHAT?! Why else would we drive 40 minutes + back to your venue to speak with you. Extremely disappointing as the venue itself is beautiful. We will be writing a note to the owner on this as well. read more

Getting married at the Meadow Wood Manor was the BEST decision I made about my wedding (aside from the groom, of course)! When we booked our wedding, the place was still under construction and we took a leap of faith that it would be as immaculate as they promised it would be, and boy, did they deliver! My wedding was in August 2006 - a while ago, I know. To this day, people who attended our wedding come up to me and tell me it was the best "party" they have ever been to. And it's been 4 year! I credit a lot of the to the Meadow Wood (and also to my DJ, whom I will also review here). Our sales person, Denise, worked very closely with us to ensure that we could incorporate all the personal touches we desired. We had decided early on that we wanted our reception to really feel like a fun celebration and wanted it to reflect who we are. She really went out of her way to accommodate our requests - though I don't think we made any real outrageous ones. The end result was an event the people are still raving about. The food was amazing. There was tons of it - which is par for the course in N. NJ. But delicious is an understatement - which isn't always the case when talking about banquet facilities. I attended my friend's baby shower here on Sunday and it was very nice. It seems there are several rooms for showers or parties, but apparently if you have a wedding there you get the entire place to your wedding. We were situated in the large room straight back from where you walk in. There were three or four servers during the party who circulated the room constantly to fill water glasses, remove plates and offer coffee. Our meal started with a station of antipasto offerings including olives, cheese, crackers, hummus, bruschetta, crudité, marinated artichoke hearts, crab dip, etc. I could live off of this type of stuff so I was quite happy. The main course was a little less exciting. There were some nice breads and a lovely salad, and lots of veggie sides, plus a pasta, chicken and fish. Everything was fine, but it was on par with other average catered food. Bathrooms are located downstairs and were clean and well stocked. I also spied a really pretty patio off the main room, which would be perfect for a warm-weather gathering. If I lived in North Jersey I'd consider having an event at Meadow Wood Manor. read more

I came here for a wedding and didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised...besides the bathroom being a long walk downstairs (and I was on crutches). They have two areas/rooms that were used and plenty of space for all of the food for the cocktail hour along with two bars so it didn't get too busy at any one spot. Being an attendant at this facility was very nice. The ballroom was fairly large but had a lot of tables crammed into the space. The back patio was nice but I did not go out there. I thought the food was OK. The meal was chosen at the reception which I prefer over ordering it when the invitation arrives. I had the chicken which came with the basic veggies and potatoes. Other people at my table at the prime rib which looked OK. However, some ordered medium or medium rare and they ALL came out closer to medium well which I would have not been OK with. Overall, I thought the facility was nice. It turns out, when the bride was ready to leave, she was more or less being rushed out because there was another wedding coming in right after. I would NOT accept service like that. If you can't plan timing properly to hold two events, then you shouldn't. read more

I went to the Meadow Wood Manor for a fashion show my sister had cloths in for the Morris County College Fashion program. The place was pretty larger and the entrance was pretty nice. The food they had there was also really good. From a spectator point of view at an event the place seemed really nice. From the moment we walked in to evaluate Meadow Wood Manor for my son's Bar Mitzvah, the staff was exquisite. Their attention to detail and level of experience is extremely impressive. The owner, the planning team, the sales people were all pleasant and wonderful. Neither pushy, nor salesy. I was in F&B and hospitality for 20 years and am currently a sales person, so I speak from experience. We shopped around, MWM wasn't the least expensive, but had the most to offer for the price range. The venue itself is very welcoming and warm. Old fashioned, yet classy and tasteful. We were invited to a tasting which was out of this world. I'm not a fan of banquet food, but they really did an excellent job. No complaints about the food or service....trust me, I'm a stickler too. If there were any issues, I didn't see or hear about any from our party guests. Everything went smoothly. Especially the night of the event. They were extra attentive to our immediate family members. My son was treated like royalty, he loved that. I highly recommend Meadow Wood Manor and look forward to being invited to an event there!! read more

From a "guest's" perspective: Absolutely wonderful. The interior design is elegant without being gaudy. The quality of the food and service was 5 star. I suggest you do not eat before you arrive. There were plenty of high end choices BEFORE the main course... Pasta bar, fresh shellfish (shrimp, lobster, crabmeat, raw oysters...), carving stations, fruit/veggie station, cheese/meat station; for the kids... hamburger sliders, mini hot dogs, milkshakes... much, much more. Main courses were very good, with choices of Filet Mignon, Sea Bass, Roasted Chicken. Filet Mignon was a perfect medium rare. Premium liquors, ample beer choices, phenomenal dessert spread with espresso and cappuccino. My only issues: Fresh oysters weren't completely shucked (no sliding off the shell). Wait staff kept clearing glasses, which in some cases were unfinished. Coffee was luke warm. read more

My husband and I attended a wedding at the Meadow Wood Manor recently and could not have had a better time! The building is so perfect as a setting for a wedding. Its like being in someone's big, beautiful mansion for their daughter's wedding. The rooms are nicely laid out and inviting, from the huge "foyer" room with the wide center staircase, to the Library room for the cocktail hour and finally the reception room with extra bar/dessert/fun room in the middle. The cocktail hour had fabulous choices all around the room, including a seafood/sushi station To Die For! Also, the waiters were passing wonderful items, including perfectly done lamb chops and a platter of whole lobster cut into bites with drawn butter and all the trimmings ... just to name a few. The food presentation was elegant with a contemporary and "fun" flair. The Library room was a perfect setting; its versatile seating includes lots of tables, with cozy corners and alcoves ... I didn't want to leave! The reception room was beautifully set, with table spacing just right. I especially liked the way the head table was set up. It was a big rectangle with seating all the way around so that the entire wedding party and their guest sat surrounding the bride and groom. (How comforting on this stressful day!) We had a choice of dinner items and chose the prime rib, rare. It came out perfect, rare yet warm, with a great sauce, a veggie and potato. Again, very nice presentation, and no scrimping on the size! Service was smiling and attentive. Dessert was unbelievable too! - Among other things, there was an ice cream sundae bar with All the Extras --- and I had No Idea they made so many colors of marachino cherries!! My fiancé and I were in the touring process of wedding venues. We visited The Meadow Wood and had such a negative experience. The new owner demonstrated a lack of flexibility and adaptability regarding our budget. Additionally, the owner's counteroffer to us was that we pay less money for a larger number of attendees guaranteed (basically, made no difference and I found it insulting that this was the actual offer). This was also despite the fact that we would have a larger wedding (275-300 guests) where most of the other venues were more than happy to accommodate us because of this. The price that was given to us per person was as if this was a luxurious wedding venue when I find it to be an average banquet hall. Unfortunately, we had a negative experience from the start and obviously did not go through with it. I hope those who do have a better experience! read more

Outstanding! Oh my lord! I am a critical person, with 55 years of experience and have been on several cruises. The food and service is better than a cruise to the point where I have no negatives whatsoever! The experience flows from the staff, who are kind, friendly and very attentive. My son's wedding was absolutely the best my family has ever experienced! Sorry for all the exclamation points, but Meadow Wood Manor deserves it. For example, Donald, the head waiter, brought US drinks asked if we needed anything, and that he was personally responsible for our happiness for the next 4 hours. Exceptional! When we went to take pictures, he had covers placed on our meals so they wouldn't get cold. He asked if the temperature and quality of the food was acceptable, which is was! Beautiful venue! But bad service, waiters rush through the night....

Was here for a wedding in early July as a bridesmaid so I got a chance to see how things were from a host's perspective. The place is really lovely. Only one wedding a night and the owners are present at every wedding so that was a super nice personable touch. Food was really good and plenty of space for outdoor ceremony, separate cocktail room, and dinning room. The bridal suite was very roomy, one of the much nicer and bigger ones I've seen. The public bathroom is all the way down in the lower level, but wasn't too bad. If I have to be critical, the only complain I have is that the bars are in a separate room next to the dinning hall. read more

Fantastic! Our sons wedding couldnt have gone smoother.From the front door personnel to the owner...attentive,pleasant,professional! The cocktail hour was so much fun,,everyone raved about the 1950's sliders/milkshakes/mac& cheese, the owner /maitre d made sure everyone was being served,and got drinks if they noticed the glasses were empty... The entrees at dinner great too-I had the sea bass and it was cooked perfectly. They only do one wedding at a time, so there was plenty of room to move to or just stay in the ballroom and dance.. This was our first visit to Meadow Wood Manor and our Easter brunch was excellent. My kids appreciated the wide variety of food, and our servers (Jennifer and Griffin) were at our beckon call the entire afternoon! The food was great, the decor was beautiful and overall my family had a very good time. We will absolutely be coming again! read more
