First impression: wow! The day we went to visit we were greeted with a glass of champagne. We toured the multiple rooms available and when sat down to discuss the prices and availability we were surprised with a gourmet meal: sliders, veggies, lobster rolls, charcuterie board and steak. Megan was VERY accommodating which was totally needed when people don't know how to rsvp On time. Megan was always available to answer questions and ease us during a stressful period. The day of, everything was set up the way we envisioned. Konstantin and his staff were beyond attentive. They made sure everyone was taken care of no matter who you were. The food was great, i still reminisce on the fresh pita, hummus and spinach and artichoke dip. My family and I recommend this venue for any celebration you need done big!

I'm absolutely blown away by the way they handled helping me plan a prom (in a pandemic) for my students. DAWN is an ANGEL who never flinched during every change (there was a date change....they rented a tent for us for dancing....etc) with grace and no sweat often calming me down at times when I thought this was impossible. The venue is immaculate and the staff are top notch. This prom was better than some $200 a plate weddings I have attended. The amount of food during the cocktail hour, dinner buffet (the tortellini was awesome) and the dessert bars was so overwhelmingly spectacular and the kids were so happy. Thank you for everything !

I came here for Mother's Day Grand Buffet. They have valet parking which makes it very easy when arriving and if you come wheelchair bound. Upon entering, everyone is greeted with a complimentary glass of Raspberry Italian Spumante . Then as you walk around there's a wall with fresh donuts hanging up and you can take as many as you like. Everyone is seated in a very large ballroom. The Meadow Wood Manor has been completely redecorated. The decor is beautiful with lovely chandeliers and neutral colors all around. They use soft blue and purple lighting to give the hall and the ballroom an elegant glow. The tables in the ballroom are a decent size. The room is very large so you're not squeezed in like sardines. It was very comfortable sitting at the large round table. I noticed the Meadow Wood Manor made accommodations for a man in a wheelchair who sat directly across from our table. He was wheeled right up to the table and the chair was removed, it was easy peasy. The staff was truly wonderful. We had not one but two waiters. Our drink order was immediately taken. I was asked if I ever ate there before. Our waiter explained to our table about the buffet. I got up and walked down the hall to another very large room where all the food was strategically placed. They even had the kids food placed lower so they could reach it with supervision. The first thing I saw was the breakfast items. There was an OMELETTE STATION-Omelettes made to order with toppings. BRUNCH STATION- Frittatas, Stuffed French Toasts, Potatoes, Sausage, and Bacon etc. Then I moved on to the SEAFOOD STATION-Shrimp Cocktail Boat. The Raw Clams, Mussels, and Raw Oysters, and Stone Crabs.Oven roasted Atlantic Salmon, Grilled Octopus, Shrimp and Roasted Tomato Salad, Mediterranean Seafood Salad. PASTA STATION- Mushroom filled Ravioli, Rigatoni Primavera, Chicken Francaise Romesco, Eggplant Rollatini, Italian assorted Meats, Fresh Mozzarella with Basil and Sun Dried Tomatoes, Field Green Salad. CHEF CARVING STATION- Baby Arugula Salad, Classic Caesar Salad, Chilled Vegetable Salad, Prime Rib, Roasted Turkey Breast, Mashed Potato Bar, Sea Salt Green Beans and Spring Asparagus. ASIAN STATION- Pan Noodle Salad, Far East Vegetable LoMein, Generals Chicken, Raw Seared Tuna, Beef Stir fry, Seafood Wok. Assorted Dim Sum. KIDS BUFFET- Chicken Fingers, Fries, MAC n Cheese, Franks in a Blanket, Pizza Bagels. DESSERT STATION- Variety of Cakes, Tarts, Cookies, Finger Desserts and Pastries Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding with Crème Anglais Hand Dipped Chocolate Covered Strawberries Chef's Sugar Free Dessert Flourless Chocolate Cake Ice Cream Novelties and Cup Cakes Fresh Berry Bar Whipped Cream and Crème Anglais Cappuccino By Request BEVERAGES INCLUDED-Coors Light * Sam Adams Champagne * Mimosas * Cabernet Sauvignon * Merlot Pinot Grigio * Chardonnay * White Zinfandel * Bloody Marys * Screwdrivers Coke * Diet Coke * Sprite * Iced Tea Apple, Cranberry or Orange Juice Milk and Chocolate Milk Coffee & Tea The food was delicious! Our waiters were constantly on top of everything. They were both really good. I really enjoyed my day!

We just had our Wedding at the Meadow Wood on 12/17/21. From the moment we booked it, til the very end of the party, we had the best experience ever. Although our wedding was during the pandemic, the staff made the process smooth and stress free. Everything we dreamed of was made into a reality. Our guests keep reaching out to us to express how beautiful the venue was, how amazing the food was, and most importantly how each staff member treated our guests individually. You truly feel like family when you walk into this venue. My wife had so many details and each one was fulfilled. Special thank you to the owners who were hands on, Kathrine, Brielle, Reda, and Constatine. You made our day so magical! Thanks for everything, The Bilinkas Family

Stumbled in here during one of the coldest days of the year, primarily just to warm up. Had no…read moreexpectations because, like I said, it was cold, they were the closest place to take shelter and I saw a coffee bar. Anyway, since then I've been back 3 more times; once for breakfast and twice for brunch. And while I'm confessing, the two times for lunch were on subsequent days. Yeah, they're that good. Actually, their chicken salad on a croissant is the best I've ever had and in my advanced years I've had a crapload of chicken salad. The have a nice sized coffee bar, decorated beautifully with some pretty delicious looking pastries. I'm on an anti-sweet phase so I'm basing my opinion on only on appearance. Then there's a seating area when you can eat, served by a friendly attentive staff and an adjacent boutique area where you can purchase housewares, clothing and other cool stuff. I'm not in Maplewood all that often, generally when I'm shopping at the equally awesome City Workshop but when I do, I always make sure to hit up Perch. You should too. 1/2 star deduction because they don't offer fake sugar, just that Stevia crap which is gross.

Whenever I'm in Maplewood, I always stop into Perch Home. It's a quaint Cafe surrounded by…read morebeautiful merchandise (jewelry, apparel, home decor), historical furniture, and very good coffee. The wall frames and Christmas decorations are gorgeous and there are tables, with comfortable seating, on one end of the Cafe. I ordered the following: Matcha White Hot Chocolate (a traditional matcha latte blended with white chocolate sauce), Snickerdoodle Latte (A traditional latte, blended with brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla syrup). Both of these were served at the perfect temperature, were richly creamy, and served in large mugs. I also ordered a Carrot Cake Muffin and it was very good. It was moist, each forkful had a decent amount of walnuts, and the frosting was exquisite. Once you're finished with your food, don't forget to stroll through the entire cafe. You'll probably find something that will pique your interest. Either way, try to make time to enjoy it all.

Tucked into the southwest corner of Essex County's South Mountain Reservation, this historic…read more28-acre public garden -- with its carefully curated and terraced gardens, fountains, and winding paths -- feels like a trip to another time and place. After spotting a social media post about the garden's Cascade fountain reopening after a 16-month restoration, my walking companion and I decided to check out this hidden gem. Greenwood Gardens was a private family estate until 2003, when it opened to the public under the auspices of a non-profit organization, and you can really feel that rich tapestry of the families' history as you wander through the grounds. The highlight of our visit was the Cascade fountain, which now features water flowing through it for the first time since the early 20th century! If you're looking for a peaceful, historic, and beautiful place to stroll, Greenwood Gardens is absolutely worth the visit. We'll definitely be back! Pro Tip #1: Plan on about 75-90 minutes for a self-guided walking tour, buy tickets online in advance ($15 for adults aged 14 to 64; $10 for Seniors aged 65+; $5 for children aged 5 to 13), and wear weather-appropriate attire/walking shoes. Pro Tip #2: Leave your tripod at home. Casual photos on your phone are welcome, but portrait or staged photography (for events, engagements, graduations, etc.) requires prior permission and special facility booking.

Really friendly staff gave the kids a scavenger hunt page that turned our visit into part garden tour, part treasure hunt. Between the terraces, tile work, grottoes, and gardens, the whole place blends European formality with a whimsical, art nouveau vibe. Plenty of benches invite you to sit and talk, while fenced-in chickens, geese, and beehives bring the grounds to life. The gardens feel peaceful, playful, and magical all at once. The beauty here is truly un-beleaf-able! NOTES/TIPS: **Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors/students, and $5 for kids, with free parking close by. **Very limited wheelchair-accessibility: okay for the Main Terrace and some flat areas, but most paths are sloped or uneven, so access is limited. **Restrooms near the entrance.
