I purchased mid-century framed art for my home, as well as a stamped, light blue 1960's Santa Anita Ware dish w/ a drip glaze. A friend purchased 1980's framed art as well as gorgeous sterling (925) earrings. Prices were reasonable-- definitely not too high. This appeared to be the case throughout the shoppe even though multiple vendors sell here. A smaller-sized home, it has been converted & wonderfully transformed into a vintage shoppe. Within the six or so rooms, visitors will find vinyl albums; vintage clothing (one full room of it); many jewelry displays for men & woman; dishware & serving pieces; wall art; home decor; lamps; MCM furniture; & much more. Parking spots on busy San Marco Avenue are few & far between, but there is plenty of free parallel parking along the many side streets. (Probably the best parking is directly behind the building.) Best to avoid this area around dinnertime. It took us a great deal of time to leave the crowded area. I suggest visiting @ other times to avoid the heavy traffic. He was chatting with Leonard about his projects, and having a good time distracting him from getting his work done, I'm sure, but Leonard was very nice and answered all of his questions. He told us how he makes jewelry and about his different tools, which was fun to learn about. While we were there, Leonard pointed out how delicate my ring had become over the years of wear. It was very thin and starting to separate in places, so reshaping it was tricky. He showed me under a microscope where the ring was worn down. My dad got me the ring in Mexico on my 16th birthday, and I've worn it everyday since then. I'm in my 30's now, for reference...it's been on my hand for over than half of my life. My dad passed away, so I need this ring to last. I asked if he could fix it, and he did me one better: he said he could make a mold of it and create a copy, but make it a bit thicker so it would last longer. That way, I can put my prized ring somewhere safe, but still have one to wear without worrying about it breaking. I just got the new ring back today, and it's absolutely perfect! Did I tear up when I opened it? Maybe.... Thank you so much Leonard! I will definitely be coming back. You've made my 2024!!!
