We arrived early in the afternoon so our flower girl could have her hair and makeup done. The venue was brand new. We were their third wedding, like ever. The building has a nice blend of glass, stained concrete and fabric chandeliers inside. A long porch lines one side of the building and a sloping path led to outdoor seating and small stage with a steel arbor. We were there hours early and flowers, bars, and tables were being setup as the weather was beginning to stir. Outdoor weddings in Texas are always a crapshoot considering the volatile weather here. As the start time approached, the weather worsened. The staff began to rework the indoor space to provide a way to stage the wedding inside. By the time the building was full of guests, full Texas thunderstorm was raging on top of us. We waited a bit and the bride wanted to be married outside despite the weather. So, the staff reset the room again and we resumed the outdoor plan. A few minutes later the happy couple were married and the party started. If you are looking for a new venue with a Texan-Pinterest vibe, multiple ways to setup in case of inclement weather, and hard working staff, the Lazy S Hacienda is a great choice.

The cereals started on time and afterwards we were greeted with cool refreshments before entering the reception. The complimentary drink was good and the food that was catered was amazing. The bathroom is so clean and refreshing. The customer service was excellent and the host was very welcoming and did a great job. This venue is just gorgeous and has so much natural beauty. It's relaxing and elegant at the same time.

Roxy was incredibly easy to work with and answered any and all questions we had throughout our planning process. We were able to visit the venue twice and speak with Roxy about their list of add-ons (the dessert cart being one of them). The venue is rustic and has everything you need including a kitchen, private room, and beautiful backyard with a wooden arbor! Everything ran exceptionally smoothly the day of the event, as an on-site coordinator was available to assist us. She was even generous enough to help us cut the cake towards the end of the shower! Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and can't wait to host another event at this venue in the future!

The staff were kind enough to waive the entrance fee for Chandor Gardens. The gardens are peaceful, vibrant with plenty of places to sit and a decent walk. There is a nearby nature trail as well. Chandor Gardens are 3.5 acres filled with ancient Chinese architecture and resemblances of an English garden. Douglas Chandor, a native Englishman had a deep appreciation for Chinese architecture and for his home country England which is shown through Chandor Gardens.

I came here for an event hosted by a Christian non-profit organization called Unfaulted. The event…read more(The Journey) was an immersive experience that involved storytelling of young ladies who were in foster care and have aged out of foster care. The venue is small yet warm and inviting. The backyard is a decent size. They have a restroom, kitchen and an upstairs at the venue. The appetizers and desserts were yummy and I enjoyed the live music. Being able to hear one of the volunteers who used to be in the foster care system share her story of overcoming adversity was inspiring. I look forward to attending another event at this venue in the future.

Our stay at Angel's Nest Bed and Breakfast in Weatherford was supposed to be a special weekend…read moreaway, but unfortunately, it became one of the most uncomfortable and concerning lodging experiences we have ever had. My husband is meticulous when it comes to planning surprises. He loves taking care of every detail, and he had reserved a room at Angel's Nest along with an additional package for our weekend. Friday morning, the owner contacted him to let him know that we were being upgraded to another room and assured him that the package he purchased would be moved to the upgraded room and everything would be ready for our arrival that evening. We were provided a code to enter the bed and breakfast as well as a code for our room. After having dinner in Weatherford, we arrived that evening. The exterior of the property is beautiful, and initially we were excited about our stay. When we reached our assigned room, however, the keypad would not light up and the door was locked. After several attempts, we called the owner. She gave us the location of a hidden key and instructed us to use it to enter the room. When we opened the door, another couple was already occupying our room. They had unpacked their belongings, eaten most of the chocolate-covered strawberries that were part of our package, opened and drank our champagne, and were in the private hot tub engaged in intimate activity. We immediately closed and locked the door and reported what had happened while still on the phone with the owner. What happened next was even more concerning. We were instructed to go down the hallway to Room 2 because we were told no one was staying there and that we could use that room instead. We followed those instructions, opened the door, and walked in on another couple in bed. At this point, we had now been given access to two occupied guest rooms. We later learned that these guests apparently had canceled reservations and were no longer supposed to have access to these rooms. That raised an even larger concern for us: How were people who were no longer assigned to these rooms still able to access and occupy them? More importantly, if we stayed, what assurance did we have that someone else could not be given access to our room and walk in on us? This became a serious privacy, safety, and security concern, not simply an inconvenience or a reservation mix-up. What was also extremely disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. The owner never came downstairs while we were there to personally address what was happening, determine why unauthorized guests were occupying two rooms, or provide us with reassurance regarding the security of the property. After taking some time to process everything that had happened, we made the decision to leave. We simply did not feel safe or comfortable staying there. We also felt dismissed rather than genuinely accommodated. My husband had carefully planned this weekend, and that very morning had been personally contacted about our upgraded room. We arrived expecting the room and package that had been promised to us. Instead, we walked in and watched another couple consuming the chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne that he had purchased for us while occupying the private hot tub we had been looking forward to enjoying. We were then directed to another room, only to walk in on another couple in bed. Beyond the disappointment of losing what was supposed to be a special experience, the lack of apparent safety and security protocols was deeply troubling. Our concern is not simply that someone was accidentally placed in the wrong room. Two separate rooms that we were specifically instructed to enter were already occupied. That should never happen at any lodging establishment. Guests deserve to know that when they close and lock their bedroom door, another guest will not be provided a code, key, or instruction that allows them to enter. Unfortunately, we left feeling that more concern was shown toward the individuals occupying rooms they were reportedly no longer authorized to use than toward us--the paying guests who had actually reserved the accommodations. As first-time guests, we expected hospitality, communication, accountability, and most importantly, a reasonable level of privacy and security. Instead, what was supposed to be a thoughtfully planned weekend ended before it ever began. The property itself is beautiful, but based on our experience, significant improvements need to be made regarding room access, canceled reservations, guest privacy, security procedures, and how serious incidents are handled.

It was winter time, and cold so we didnt spend too much time outside, but i did take a short walk around some of the trails and saw a deer. It was a early morning walk so no one had disturbed them yet. The room i stayed in had 4 twin size beds, a small kitchen area and one bathroom. There was a few rockers on the front porch and a fire pit with more seating not too far away. We spent most of the day in a community room with full kitchen, bathrooms and a bar area. It was a great space for our group. Lots of parking outside and lots of things to do outside as well. The place was clean and welcoming. There were several houses that you can rent as well, instead of having twin sized beds. Beautiful place!
