I enjoyed learning about the history of the property & the owners. Also, there's a small, hiking trail added by the city that you must visit :) I absolutely loved spending a few hours there. I highly recommend it. Additional perks: 1. It's reasonably priced. Huge surprise - it's only $5.00 2. The home isn't always open. It's fun to walk around the property, but the inside is cool as well and there's a lot of history inside, so check to see when it's open. read more

When we came here last month, we were appreciative of the maintenance of the gardens. The weather was beautiful and the changing colors of the leaves added to the serene atmosphere. The staff were kind enough to waive the entrance fee for Chandor Gardens. The gardens are peaceful, vibrant with plenty of places to sit and a decent walk. There is a nearby nature trail as well. Chandor Gardens are 3.5 acres filled with ancient Chinese architecture and resemblances of an English garden. Douglas Chandor, a native Englishman had a deep appreciation for Chinese architecture and for his home country England which is shown through Chandor Gardens. read more

This is an amazing low cost garden that is well cultivated and well curated. The garden is very well taken care of by their staff. There is much to explore in the area and there's a variety of places that are very well shaded. Fair warning, if you come to the summer, be sure to wear some mosquito repellent just in case. There's an amazing Koi pond for you to see near the main building. The architecture and setup is well designed. We definitely enjoyed our stay there. At first, visiting this park also seemed to be a bust. I wasn't sure if this was a residential neighborhood or a historical location to be visited. Hesitantly, I stepped out of my vehicle and began to meander around. Turns out this place is very much for the public and is considered a botanical garden of sorts. There was a historical plaque that I quickly read and became more comfortable with my visit here. The gardens were beautiful and well-maintained. There was also an 0.8 mile hiking trail to enjoy. I decided to save that for another day as the site closes at 3 p.m. (Didn't want to take up too much of my time hiking as I arrived with less than an hour to go before closing.) There were fountains, waterfalls, and lounging areas to enjoy. This was probably the cherry on the cake for all of today's adventures. So glad I decided to take a chance on visiting here. Beautiful - low cost outdoor fun! $5 admission for anyone over 12 years old. Free Parking, kid and stroller friendly. This is a secret garden/ mini arboretum in West Fort Worth Cherry Creek area. They host private events, weddings, etc. Several couples taking photos for baby announcement and engagement. My 2 year old loved it! There are many foundation ponds, lots of shade (Texas heat!) and beautiful flowers! What a neat experience and way to support the local community. read more

Chandor Gardens actually surprised us. The gardens are pretty and I can see how it would be gorgeous in the spring. On the day of our visit, we stopped by the office to pay for admissions, but a note on the door indicated they were out to lunch and to enjoy the garden for free. There are lots of opportunities for photographs. There were lots of water features. We did not stay too long because the garden was full of biting gnats and mosquitos, so do not forget the bug spray when visiting. read more

A wife told her husband to build her a garden. 6 acres later, he must have really loved her. This place is beautiful. Once their home, it can now be rented for weddings or what ever. Lot of ponds, fountains, waterfalls, fish. Nice pathways through all the gardens. Entry is about $5 per person, so if in the area, a really nice place to visit. read more

Best keep secret in Weatheford! A beautiful English/ oriental Garden. I really enjoy seeing the seasonal color changes at the garden.

Wonderful place to visit, hidden back behind a neighborhood in Weatherford. A quiet, picturesque garden with a mix of English and Asian influences. Be aware it's fairly small, so it's not enough for a trip to Weatherford all by itself -- have a few other things planned too. Even ambling along pretty slowly, we were only there an hour at most. We weren't offered a tour of the house. The place was so relaxing, I didn't really want to leave. Wish it was bigger, but the guy did what he could in the time he had. They appear to have some additional land to work with, so I hope they add more features at some point in the future. read more

Chandor Gardens is a beautiful place to have a wedding! The staff is super kind. The main thing that I would recommend they improve on is their rental regulations. Their contract details are extremely vague and they will withhold your deposit for the smallest reason. In the end, I wish the venue would have communicated more specific expectations, details, and rules with me prior to my wedding. I would also tell future renters to be aware of the tripping hazards due to steep seating areas and very dim lighting. Three guests fell at my wedding. Two of which were elderly people. For the most part, I am happy with my experience at Chandor Gardens I would just tell future brides to be very aware of these things when booking. read more

Excellent. A very small but gorgeous garden. It was a nice place to site see. Chandor's garden is very well planned out with 7 gardens to see; all of them inspired by English or Chinese gardens. My favorite part has got to be all the entrances and the coy pond. The trees are very beautiful. read more
