Visiting Austin, TX and I was pressed for time for my shopping time. I ran in and ran out. I went to my Vitamin Shoppe app and saw they had the bone broth in stock. I couldve ordered it on my app and theyll hold it for you until you arrive. I didnt do it because we were heading out there within a minute. I went in and asked them wheres the bone broth. They took me there and bought it and left. Most of the Vitamin Shoppes looks exactly alike. Identical. They shelving and displays are almost exactly the same. I been shopping at Vitamin Shoppe for years. Its a store I rely on. At least for me I know I am not buying vitamins that could come from China and then you find out you got a blend in your vitamins with other gunk. Vitamin Shoppe is a trusted source I never buy from Amazon because people have warned me that it could be fake. So vitamin shoppe is a place you can trust. read more

Fantasia is honestly the reason I come to this location. Hands down she is the most helpful person I've ever talked to! She always lets me know about the sales/deals going on. Offers some amazing advice on things, and she's unbelievably nice OMG. Everything in the store is super neat and tidy, I always see her working to stock things on shelves, putting stuff away. Their customer service is a joke. Went in today (from my receipt, date 7/7/2023 12:56:58PM Reg#1 trans#424822) and the employee behind the counter didn't even look up. Walked around until I found what I wanted. Took it to the counter. He asked "do you have an account". I said yes and gave him the phone number. Then he told me the total. I paid via the CC machine. He handed me the receipt. No "thank you". No "have a nice day". Nothing. And there is nothing wrong with employees who don't care. But I can get that level of customer service without leaving the house and for a cheeper price. So you lost a customer today. But Amazon gets my vitamins and supplements business now. Good luck running brick and mortar stores with horrible customer service. I'm sure this store will be closed like most of your other locations soon. read more

This is such a clean store. Wow, really organized, I like the floor plan. It's open, and the shelves are all tidy. I was looking for ear drops, but I didn't recognize the brand they sell. So I ended up passing on their ear drops. But I would like to come back and check out other items they have here. Like, I noticed they had beauty products. I've shopped via the online store for several years, and as convenient as it was, I haven't been back online once I noticed this brick-n-mortar version in such a convenient location (Arboretum area). They have a wide selection of health & vitamin products, both for internal and external applications. They have their own private label products, but also stock a wide variety of name brands. The people who work there seem to know the inventory as well as what the products are used for, and they've been able to make recommendations each time I've been there. They will lead (or follow) you around to find products if you ask them questions. They will also order online for you if they don't have whatever you want in stock, and will call you when it arrives at their store. When I visited this week, one whole wall was cordoned off with plastic sheeting, and they explained that they were expanding into the space next door to make the place even larger. Awesome. In case you aren't familiar with The Vitamin Shoppe, make sure to ask them to set up an account for you when you check out, so you can accrue purchase points. At the end of the year, you'll have an account credit that translates into a cash coupon that you can use on a purchase sometime before the end of March. It isn't a huge amount, but it's nice to give something back to your loyal customers. Also, they regularly put various items on special. That's when I tend to stock up. read more

I started shopping here about 2 years ago, and spend around $600-800 per year. While I've never had any complaints about the staff, I've never had any real reason to applaud them, either. Tonight I showed up at the door at 5:58 p.m.; the posted hours for Sunday state that they are open until 6:00. It was clear that one of the employees was in great haste to lock up before another customer (me!) could walk in and hurriedly locked the door. When I showed my iPhone clock to the girl behind the counter that it was not yet 6:00, she just shrugged as if to say "too bad." The fact that there is a TON of competition in this space would seem to be a good reason to go above and beyond. I guess sticking around for an extra few minutes while I grabbed my $60 tub of protein was too much ask. Okay, I have to tell you about Joey. He's fricken' awesome! I needed to shed some weight immediately via ketosis and he had the scoop on every bio hack known to man. When I whipped out my phone to price-match numerous products, after he confirmed that Vitamin Shoppe meets competitor prices, he went even further and provided me with additional discounts. How? He dug around until he found some store coupons for the remaining products. I'm upset and frustrated that I hadn't met Joey any sooner. He really knows his products and understands his customer's needs. Well, at least mine anyway. He's the sole reason that I can't shop anywhere else now. He's gone above and beyond to woo me as a customer every time I've stepped in that store. He's saved me over a grand this year by revealing what products work best for my goals, and what not to purchases, as well as when to come back for the sale items. His level of knowledge is unbelievable and his focus is totally on how to take care of me, and not to sell me stuff that I don't need. In the beginning, I used to fact check him, but it became quickly apparent that he was always right and he knows his stuff. I would occasionally challenge him as to why he recommended one product over another one. He not only explained to me but showed me that the price per servings on the one product was double even though they were both roughly the same size and price. It was the popular yet misleading low-quality products that he protected me from. Also, he made sure that I knew which of the items he had a store coupon for. He continues to win my trust and confidence in every conversation, so much that I've become somewhat dependent on his advice on the products. He's simply brilliant. Any idea that I can conceive, he's already a subject matter expert on. A recent example is that I came in last week and asked him if by chance there were any products that were similar to fish oil, but vegetarian. Guess what? There really is. It's made from algae and Vitamin Shoppe carries it in stock at a very reasonable price. Oh, and it's far superior to any fish or krill oil on the market. I can't write enough wonderful things about Joey and my experiences at Vitamin Shoppe. He really takes care of me. He's like a member of my family, only fun. I'd like to mention that If any of these folks posting these silly comments about poor customer service issues truly understood his unique sense of humor, they'd offer to pay Joey for interacting with them. Most of the negative comments are coming from people that are too hypersensitive and don't have enough courage or wit to talk smack to the staff. The most fun I have is when I'm creating an embarrassing scene while harassing the staff for assistance. Trust me, they really dig the loud and obnoxious. ;) read more

Yeah for firsts. Love almost everything about the place. The selection of different brands and flavors of protein powders and bars. The knowledgable and friendly staff. The store-brand supplements which are just as good and cheaper. And the bonus points. And the online store with the website is fantastic, easy to use, ships quickly and keeps you updated. Poor customer service experience Apr 23 around noon. This was my first time to this store. I walk into the store, two clerks were right at the counter and not a word from either one. I'm not looking for red carpet service, but wow it's just me and the two clerks but it was like I wasn't there. It's a glass front with a glass door and they see me walking up to come in. Another person comes in again and nothing. A third person comes in and surprisingly one of the clerks asked if he needed help. The second guy comes around the corner and says "I could use some help". There is plenty of competition selling the same products which makes customer service the only thing that sets a store apart from the crowd. I have definitely experienced better. read more

I shopped their online store before even stepping into the store, as I was looking for a specific type of bath soak. unfortunately, they didn't have it stocked at the store, but I'm still glad I was able to browse the store as they offer an interesting line of products. they also have a card that allows you to receive discounts & such. the staff was very friendly & was very willing to help. prices are reasonable & they definitely have a wide array of items. read more

What made me change was the knowledge I am able to receive at Vitamin Shoppe. There is nothing worse to me than walking into a supplement store and I know more than the employee. Highly recommend this place. You have to visit this location. Talk if you can to Joey, the assistant manager. He is basically a chemist/supplement savant. He will help you find whatever it is you're looking for and they usually have great coupons. He is great at explaining everything. While I read some of the other reviews which state that people are rude, that's not the case.
