I am giving it 4 stars, because sometimes the sales people are not knowledgeable enough about a product that I am inquiring about. Four years ago I had a hip replacement and before that I had a lot of pain. One particular sales person there was so great to me, and would bring my order out to the car or help me get to the car. I was greeted immediately and I asked for help finding something to prevent jet lag, or at least lessen it. The woman at the counter wasn't sure and asked a co-worker. I completely understand, the number of products they have in the store would be impossible to memorize and I think jet lag hasn't come up very much in the last year and a half. Andrea took me to an area where they used to have a product, but they were out. She then looked up the ingredients and took me to the area where I could get the little tubes of the homeopathic medicines. We went back to the register and I asked if she knew how/when to take them; she was already pulling it up on the computer. She let me read it, and then when I asked about writing it down, she already had it printed! Andrea was very helpful and ahead of me several times in anticipating what I needed. read more

I'm going to this vitamin shoppe in Encino for a while now and I'm always very happy because they are all so nice and helpful but the cutest thing that happen to me is when I called a girl name andrea picked up she was already so nice on the phone I asked her to help me to find a good serum or cream to minimize the pores and she told me there is a firming serum that will definitely help I told her I tried so much nothing really worked but she said I promise you you will love so I told her to put it on the side so my Husband can pick it up later . So my Husband went over there and got me this serum and he gave me a cute little letter from andrea she left that was the cutest thing ever she really made my day and night she is sooo cute nice and always very helpful so I tried that serum it exactly minimize my pores I'm so happy with it . I've been coming to this specific Vitamin Shoppe now for several years and wanted to take time to share why I keep coming to this one (instead of others) as well as my experience. Unlike some other Vitamin Shoppe branches (Thousand Oaks, Fairfax, and Pasadena) this one is run by a great staff! Over time, they have always been quick to help me out. They greet me with a smile, ask about how I am, and are always eager to help answer my questions or find the correct product I'm looking for. Lately I've been ordering online and picking up at the store (a very nice service to have - by the way), and the team at this place typically goes above and beyond the call of duty to help me. Unlike a restaurant, I cannot tip the staff here for their help, but wanted to shout out the current manager *Andrea* for her exceptional service. Originally, I was skeptical when the previous guy left (he knew a lot about supplements), but he was replaced with a far superior talent! Not only is she always cheery (which makes my day; some people are just like that I guess?), she seems to have a great memory! For example, as I was asking about one product new to me, her suggestion made me realize a potential conflict. An alternative was recommended and THAT turned out to be so much better for me! WOW ... imagine if all companies had local store managers like this?! I have been to the Vitamin Shoppe in Northridge, but since I have moved to Van Nuys I had to come and check out this new closer Vitamin Shoppe. I must say that it is smaller than the Northridge store but the variety is still there. I went in to look for some Fenugreek and wheat grass powder. Sure enough they had it. The store clerk was very helpful and I was in and out within 5 minutes. I will be coming back for more vitamin and supplemental needs. read more

My Go To Vitamin Shoppe! I have shopped here a few times and I must say the experience is pretty consistent! The ONLY thing I don't like about this location is the parking. The store itself is very clean and the employees are very nice and not pushy. They helped me find what I needed and kept it moving. I had a lot of questions about the BlenderBottle during my last visit and the employee was very helpful and didn't seem annoyed at all. They have a wide selection of protein for Gluten Free/Vegan people too which is a huge plus. It's a pretty laid back location in Encino and never too busy. Again, the only con to coming here is the parking. The lot seems to only have a couple spaces available and pretty much the rest of the lot is for Bank of America customers; So you either get lucky finding a spot or you have to pay for metered parking on the street. The shop is smaller then most, and parking at some hours of the day can be annoying because of the bank and restaurant next door. The staff is really good and helpful always very nice and always ask if they can help. If they dont have what you need they can order it or they will tell you what location has it. This can get spendy, so Vitamin Shoppe is a real find. For example, I saw the same-size bottle of Udo's oil at Sprouts for $5.00 more. Staying healthy can really add up. This store is a more manageable size than the one in Woodland Hills but had the same inventory, the staff is friendly and there is parking in the back, which is great since it's on Ventura Boulevard. I went into the vitamin shoppe today looking for glucosamine that my doctor had recommended after a few surgeries, If it wasn't for the knowledgable employee named Alex there I would have been totally lost! He was able to explain the differences between the different products they had to offer in the store. Alex was also able to share with me what he thought works best from personal experience since I was skeptical thinking it's all a gimmeck. I also was on search for some candles that are a natural remedy to remove wax from your ears. No other employee in the store was familiar with them and there were no directions on the label and Alex was able to explain to me excactly what to do:-) he is a vital asset to the company!
