We're so used to buying things online, that you almost forgot how nice it is to go into a store sometimes. Needed to pick up some vitamins and supplements and Vitamin Shoppe had everything I was looking for. The employee at the store was super helpful showing me where everything I wanted was. I needed protein powder! This meant a trip to a place that has more than the tiny GNC at Sunset. Size: This Vitamin Shoppe is decently large. If you've been to a Vitamin Shoppe before, you know they carry lots of product in the store! Selection: They had a pretty decent selection of protein powders. I don't think as many as they had at my Vitamin Shoppe in California, but they also seemed to have a greater variety of certain other products instead. However, they had the protein powder that I specifically came for so I was happy about that! Along with my huge tub, I also bought a smaller sample size of a different brand to try. Service: Someone approached me asking if I needed help (+1). I asked him if people liked the product I was planning to buy and he said people did (-1/2) due to lack of detail. "They like it". That doesn't really give me the detail I am looking for before spending $40 on a tub of 25 servings. They also didn't have any samples of it, and I know some locations do offer samples. However, he said I could bring it back if I didn't like it. Prices: Protein powder is expensive anywhere. But, Vitamin Shoppe at least has a frequent buyer card. I've heard it's cheaper than GNC, but I haven't done an exact comparison. A couple products were on sale, but nothing too interesting. I always choose Vitamin Shoppe over GNC because they have a greater product variety! read more

They are making NO effort to stop the product from being mailed even after being informed an hour after online purchase!!
