If the female employee with shorter hair is working don't bother she is more worried about her male friend who hangs out bringing starbucks and her appearance. Every time we go in and repurchase supplements we have previously purchased she tells us they don't exist. If the manager is working he is on it and great to answer any questions. Went into the Northridge Vitamin Shoppe and they were very unhelpful, didn't say anything when we walked in (even though there were no customers). I asked for help with something, and he said 'we don't have it'. Not checking if they had it anywhere else, or making any attempt to find it at another shop. Please encourage better customer service, there are so many other places to get vitamins from, and being unhelpful, not friendly is not a good way to keep customers shopping there. read more

Such great customer service here when I stopped by today to get some ZOA energy drink. The moment I walked inside, one of the worker greeted me and ask if I needed help finding anything. I told her I was getting some ZOA energy drink so she pointed me to the right direction and told me they have the 12 pack as well. After I got my 2 drinks, I went to pay and it was a easy process. I wore my mask and they had a sign on their door for people to wear their mask. I loveee this store. They have a vast selection of protein powders to choose from. One of the employees was extremely helpful. She knew about every protein powder I asked about. She was able to tell me which ones have great flavor and the nutriton behind them, as well. She was knowledgeable about anything and everything. I will be returning next time I need some protein. Make a few stops here every week. It's super convenient on my way to the gym. The staff is always super nice and welcoming. I usually know what I'm going to buy but here and there the staff will convince me to try other products and so haven't been disappointed thus far. Horrible customer service. I don't usually put bad reviews unless required. This was required. Went to Vitamin shoppe to return online stuff, the manager (Michael) was reluctant, he didn't have any excuse, I can see he wants to some how say NO, I didn't have the card at first. He found credit card number from online and told me to bring that card. I told him can I come next day when he is here, he says yes, I didn't feel comfortable, I told him wait let me bring my credit from home. I went back home grabbed the card came back and it seems like he was waiting for me Looking through the window he came all the way outside the store to my car, at first why did he came outside, why could have he stayed inside, it was planned mine set up came outside stating: I can't do it, stating I talked to district manager, I told him I need to talk to your district manager, manager statement changed rudely it's she and it was some other store he talked to and not the District manager and she will not pick up the phone. New reason he can't do the return due to the fact it's over $500.00 I told him that's ok how much can you refund, I can return half, around $200, $300, you tell me its customer who is negotiating with the MANAGER. He was rude, non helpful, hyper, arrogant. Can't believe it happened with me at V. Shoppe. Well end of the story, I wish this guy could have told me in the beginning trip he can't do it, he found the credit card number, wish I would not have gone to him. Fun fact, I have many memories coming here... I spent many hours in their parking lot making out with my boyfriend at the time because he lives in the apartment building right there. I came to buy protein powders and multivitamins. I want to lose weight so I was talking to one of the employees and they were really nice and sounded like they knew what they were talking about. They helped me choose the brands I wanted to try and gave me samples of a few products I wasn't sure I wanted to buy. I would consider coming back, but I'm stocked up for quite a while. Staff: yes, it takes them a minute to acknowledge that you've been there and are staring at a wall of protein powders in serious bewilderment, but eventually, Dad showed up for my recital :-) Farid helped me and explained a bunch of stuff about vegan protein options. This is not about this vitamin shoppe in particular, but the online service. I registered for the other delivery service. I thought the service is supposed to be a convenience for customers. But instead of asking in an email or text if you want this shipment to be sent, you just got an email saying your order has been processed. When you contact them back to cancel, they say it's already too late and the order has been made. I canceled the auto delivery service and won't be buy anything from them again. This is very annoying. I'll be returning the product once it comes in back to one of the stores. read more

I went here today to purchase a candida cleanse and to get some probiotics. There is a guy that works there named, Mike, and he was so helpful!! He was very knowledgeable about a candida overgrowth, which is actually very common in men and women. I already did my research about it but was torn on what products to use. Mike helped me decide and gave me great advice about how to keep it under control after the cleanse. There were also 2 others that were working today, 1 woman and another man- they we ALL very friendly and personable!! I have never gone to an actual vitamin store before, I usually just go to Wal-Mart to get stuff like that but I will definitely be coming to this store from now on for any of my supplement needs!! I've never been to a Vitamin Shoppe before till today and really enjoyed my experience. I've been to GNC before and I feel like they try to sell me more than I need. Well, I came in today already knowing what I wanted and the salesman, James, brought me right to it. He reminded me to get a bottle shaker and showed me the ones on sale, which is perfect, I just need something simple with a mixer ball. Sure enough, James came through. Horriable experience with online order. Wanted to buy two item and yesturday order by online. When i order by online it shows both item in stock . I need those item for tomorrow. I did't get until today 1 pm. Finally i called the store. They said that they cancelled my order. I asked why is that. Then they said they dont have item with them. That doesn't matter. They have such a great selection of vitamins, diet and nutrition products, and etc. It's a little on the pricey side, but it's way cheaper than GNC thats for sure. Customer service absolutely SUCKS at this location. My wife and I went in to ask some questions about two specific products. We walked in the door around 10:45am. Three customers are in the store thats including my wife and I. Two customer dis-service employees are also here working the floor. A third employee walked in and decided they all needed to talk to each other and not say a single word to my wife and I. By this time we have been in the store for a minimum of 15 minutes and nothing. We finally walked out of the store 20 minutes later and no one said a single word to us. No way they didn't see me. I have a giant beard, shaved head, covered in tattoos and my nickname is KINGSIZE. I ended up looked at the price on the two products and decided I'd check the Internet and see if I could find it cheaper elsewhere. That was fine with me. 25 minutes later I'm still waiting, as I see more and more people going into the store and not seeing many coming out. I would get off but I have a sprained ankle. I give the store 1 star for poor management and staffing. Poor girl is probably stressed with the amount of people going in and being all by herself and doing curbside. I was pretty impressed by the knowledge of the products by the clerk on my last visit here. I was looking for any product that would help with sore muscles from working out. I had a list of items I wanted to read the ingriedients on. The clerk was able to find all ten items on my list. They have never had a case of lemon drop Bang drinks when I've been in. I finally ordered them there to be shipped to my house. They sell out of Isopure drinks super fast here as well. They need to stock/buy more of the top sellers to have them available and on hand. read more

Been shopping here for over a year. Staff can seem like they don't care but they do seem very knowledgeable the last time I was there. I like the huge the store is compared to GNC, I wish they had a few more other grand products so I have to go to GNC for some other supplements. Also a good thing about this store is they are good about price matching their website prices as sometimes it is cheaper. The Lancaster/Palm dale one was making me show them proof via phone when they can see everything on their computers. So this location gets a better than average score from me and better then GNC's overpriced supplements as a whole.
