Oh, how the mighty have fallen…read more I've been shopping at Solar since they first opened. I'm literally one of their first customers who's been loyal and has trusted them for years. Unfortunately, they've betrayed that trust while also flouting consumer protection laws. I gave them the chance to do the right thing, but they refused. They've lost me as a customer. Here's what happened: There's a brand of disposable vape made by a company called "Liquid Gold" that comes in a flavor "strawberry sour." I've been purchasing this exact disposable vape off and on since the previous Christmas. They were sold out for a while, until FINALLY the other day I saw they were in stock again. The picture online, description, the flavor, everything was listed as exactly the same. I excitedly ordered the max (10) and drove over to pick them up. They come in a black pouch that is not see-through and from the outside looked the same as always. I happy headed home. That night at home I opened one up only to discover that the cartridge inside was completely different (see pics). At first, I was like "OK whatever no big deal" but upon trying the cartridges do not work at all like the old ones. Barely a whisper of vape comes out if any does, the little light often blinks and nothing come out, and worse, they cause my lungs to burn. I couldn't even get through trying to use one of them a couple of times without having a coughing fit. There is no button on these so I'm not sure why sometimes it blinks and nothing comes out. To me, this fits squarely into defective territory. Solar claims you can return defective vapes up to 7 days later. They have not honored their own return policy on repeated attempts to call and email them. Worst of all, it feels dishonest to picture and list something on your website, when really it's a cartridge that's completely different. You shouldn't misrepresent the things you're selling. People trust you to list and picture what you're actually selling. Misrepresenting what you sell is called the "bait and switch" tactic. Luring a customer in through false advertising only to trick them into selling them something different is actually illegal in Massachusetts, where this store is located. State Law: In Massachusetts, it violates the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Law (MGL Chapter 93A), which protects buyers from false advertising and unfair sales tactics. In short, they essentially scammed me out of my money by selling me broken junk, and broke the law in doing so by picturing one thing and selling another. Naturally, I contacted the store and informed them that their picture doesn't match what I was sold, and that the product is defective. I politely explained everything and asked for store credit to return the 9 unopened pouches. They straight up said "not our problem" and would not honor their 7 day return policy for defective cartridges. They said that it was the manufacturer's fault and that I should contact them. They also told me that they couldn't see through the black pouches either so they didn't realize what they were selling is different. All that does is tell me they don't check their own deliveries from growers/suppliers. I find this all of this dishonest and shady business practices. They profited off selling me this useless product through false advertisement. In doing so, they ultimately stole $300 from me and are keeping it. I find this to be shameful. I pleaded with them to do the right thing and a couple different managers refused or just ignored me. I'm honestly shocked that they're so dishonest and wouldn't give at least store credit. Since what is listed on their website can no longer be trusted, I can no longer trust shopping there. I'll find a new location after all these years. I'm not sure where else I'll take my business instead, but I see from other reviews from people who had terrible experiences at Solar, that Northeast Alternatives looks like a nice, well, alternative. If you're gonna shop here, double check what you buy. Better yet, protect yourself by not shopping here at all.

I review cultivars in the area as a person from Washington state who's lived in California Bought one of their pre-rolls from another dispensary here on the Cape and just wanted to review it. beware, this is one of those cultivars that says that their weed is testing very high but then when you get it, it's not only not high-grade weed. It's really bad weed. Like weed you wouldn't buy if a weed dealer came to your house in the 90s to try to sell it to you. They took some super mid shake that taste nasty and harsh and rolled it up into a pre-roll and had the audacity to say that it was testing at 33%. Very common with the scam Artist, Massachusetts cult of ours. Everything in Massachusetts is a cash grab so they're just out to get the money and they'll say anything to get your money. Half the cult of ours out here is straight up and garbage and then as I just mentioned turn around and then Trent that their weed is in the mid 20s to mid 30 range in THC potency. Personally, if somebody who works hard for their money, I spent the last of my money that I had for weed this week on one of their joints and I'm really disappointed that I wasted my money getting it. You're way better off getting like a 22% THC joint from a quality of our than getting a joint from a Massachusetts Colta bar with claims that their weed is in a 30%. It almost never is but they don't care. They just have signs in their eyes and wanna market it as such so that they can get the money from 30% weed. It's really disheartening and disappointing. Sitting here about to smoke another part of this joint that was marketed 33% THC but I'm not even feeling anything and it's super harsh and doesn't even taste good or have in it. Shame on these guys. Seriously, not high, no flavor, no taste, harsh and they got a whole line of it that's marketed between like 30 and 33% THC. Stop playing and invest in actually growing good strains instead of lying to people. It's really frustrating. after living in this Massachusetts marijuana market. I rarely step out from things I'm familiar with and buy something new for this very reason and almost every time I do this is exactly what happens. get some integrity and grow some good weed and stop trying to inflate the numbers so much. That's the Massachusetts cash grab mentality though. It's like gosh we could grow some garbage ass weed and say that it's good and take everybody's money from them once or we could actually grow a good product and take the time to grow a good strain and then build a customer base that comes back again and again. Guess what choice the Massachusetts business owner will pick every time? TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN, FUCK 'EM! That's what it is out here: people way too focused on the dollar and not actually focused on providing a service that actually means something and keeps people coming back. It's more like "I have this thing here and you don't have it and if you want it, you can give me money for it and as far as the quality and stuff like that, fuck you I don't care about that. I just want your money, please and thank you". They should really pass here that you can only list the amount of THC on a product as the lowest yielding plant. After all, you're only as strong as your weakest link and it's very deceptive. What these cultivars do saying that they're putting out weed that's in the upper 20s and 30% and then you get it and it's straight up garbage. Like ha ha yeah that shit was 30% seeds and stems and leaves with zero THC on them. I'm not some whiny person just coming on here randomly complaining. This is happening right now as a result of this happening over and over again in Massachusetts. You guys are horrible offenders with this. You put out garbage ass weed and try to pass them off as high-quality and you need to stop Maybe invest some of that money that you're investing into lying in your marketing into learning how to grow good strains. I had tried some locally sourced marijuana, recommended by many friends, as it is an all natural pain reliever. I haven't tried marijuana in 50 years and was a rookie at the counter. The person at the counter seemed very polite and was a new employee, so I don't know if I was steered right. In retrospect, I probably should have waited for a more experienced sales person, however standing for any period of time causes me pain. The line was quite long and I couldn't bear to wait longer. I made a purchase, and although it was a legal and reasonable amount, I found their prices to be quite expensive. The associate helped me choose a variation, and although I've made the purchase over 5 weeks ago, I have not tried it yet. The sales person was kind and polite, but I don't believe she was very knowledgeable, and I do hope my expensive purchase is worth the price. One more tidbit to note, shopping here is like shopping at an Apple store, it took nearly half the day to make a purchase. If I were to shop at a dispensary, I believe I'd try another shop, just for price and knowledge comparison.
