I thought that was weird and it was. The prescription was never run through my insurance, that copay was made up by the pharmacist because he did not like the reimbursement. I will just say that this 100% illegal. They have a contract with my insurance company, regardless of the reimbursement. Meaning they are obligated to fill my prescription at whatever cost to them. I am going to be refilling my prescription in a few weeks, we will see how much the guy behind the counter "thinks" he's going to charge me. I have zero problem reporting them to the board of pharmacy and Blue Cross.

There is a large, clean bathroom inside if you need it. The service is always pleasant and informative and medical patients get points towards rewards for their purchases. *they charge a fee if you pay with a credit card, so cash is best! They do have an ATM inside but I believe there is also a fee on that. I haven't been to other compassion centers/dispensaries in the area since relocating here from L.A., so I don't have much to compare it with in the state- but this place is my joint! pun intended ;)

This is my "neighborhood" WF, I am in there at least 7 times a week and sometimes more. Being a smaller store the variety can be limited, but that is not why I am reviewing. It's about the staff. Last week I fell, not in the store or on their property, I got some pretty gnarly abrasions and a bit of a cut and needed to ice my knee down quickly. WF has ice in the front, so I went there and grabbed a small hot bar (yum yum!), I sat at the tables outside, which are a great place to eat the ready made hot foods, in particular the chicken in sweet chili sauce. I digress, within a few minutes a sweet young man stopped and asked if I was okay, I told him what happened and assured him I didn't fall at WF. He went back to work, a few minutes later another staff came out with a roll of paper towels and asked if she could do anything for me, I thanked her and said I was fine. Not more than a few minutes later another employee came out to check on me. Yes some foods are expensive, yes, it can be busy there but the bottom line, this is neighborhood, this is community and this is the human experience. Thumbs up Whole Foods Waterman!
