This is the hallway you walk through when you first enter from the street level, the studio is upstairs.

I arrived early for my first class, as suggested on ClassPass. They gave me a tour of the space and made me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. The studio is really large and sort of wraps around the corner so there are window views of the street out of every window. I took the Yinergy class with Marley. It was a really great workout, challenging and high energy but I somehow left way more relaxed than when I arrived. I will absolutely be back here to practice again! So grateful to have a studio like this near me.

Discovered this place via JoinLinks. I came for the Mindful Matcha event and was blown away by the venue as well as the event. The WalkGood Yard is a beautifully curated space. The energy and aura of this place and their staff is amazing! You can tell it was created with so much love and intention. I enjoyed the Mindful Matcha event (s/o to @empressmatcha) very much and look forward to coming back to The WalkGood Yard for other events.

Such a great community space that centers mind, body, and soulful wellness through a range of programming from yoga classes to special events like open mic and movie nights.

This is a beautiful safe space in LA. It's a creative wellness studio and not only do they host yoga classes, but they open up their space for community events. The instructors are experienced. The music is fire and the vibe is unlike any other yoga class. On any given class you're in for a sound bath, a deep meditation, breath work. If you're Black or Brown in LA and looking for community, this is a great place to start and check out their offerings.

My new fam. I don't know that this will adequately express what this space is. But there is safety and peace and love here. And it smells soooo good. Could easily make this a space to stay in on a regular basis. Thank you for being a haven for your community

There were about nine students in the room and it filled the whole space. I really loved how they provided blankets in case people had sensitive knees, and bolsters in case people wanted to use them. I love all of the decor and plants! This is my first time ever going to a yoga class with a sound bath and it was really cool! There is only street parking but I was able to find one spot in the neighborhood close by.

The vibe is very inclusive and welcoming. You will not be intimidated if you are not super toned and in a fancy yoga outfit (though both those things may happen as a result of showing up to yoga class consistently, haha). I had not practiced yoga in many years, but when I saw that this place had opened near me, I signed up for the two-week trial, really enjoyed it, and immediately continued my unlimited membership. I've been able to attend class consistently 3 to 4 times a week because of the numerous time options available, so I definitely feel like I'm getting great value. After a month and a half I am feeling physically stronger, more mentally focused and emotionally more connected to a community. In this WFH era, I can go days without interacting with anybody else in person, which I didn't even realize the detrimental effects of until I started attending these classes and being around others. The classes usually have around 3 to 8 students so it's fairly intimate and the teachers will usually ask if there are any special requests before starting class. Prices are very reasonable, and even more so if you purchase a class package or unlimited pass. Bonus is that you can use those classes at this location or the Venice location (which has an even more extensive class schedule), whatever fits into your schedule. They also host various events beyond just the yoga classes. I recommend you try the two-week unlimited offer because it's an unbeatable price and you get the chance to try different teachers and styles to see what works well for you. If you don't have your own mat you can also rent one for $2 for the session.

This training was incredibly transformative, and a huge part of that was Lou and the experience of working in his beautiful studio, Astro Gong. From the moment we stepped into the space, you could feel the intention behind it. The studio itself is stunning -- grounding, expansive, and filled with an energy that immediately invites presence and depth. Being surrounded by his collection of gongs and instruments created an atmosphere that felt both sacred and inspiring. Lou is a true gong master. His knowledge, passion, and reverence for the instrument are undeniable. Watching him play and learning directly from him ignited something powerful within me -- a deep desire to connect more fully with the gong and explore its potential. He teaches not just technique, but relationship -- how to listen, feel, and allow the instrument to speak. The experience inside his studio alone was worth it. It felt immersive, intentional, and deeply moving. I left feeling inspired, expanded, and profoundly grateful.
