It was my first time going but I've heard many things about this place. If it's your first time you sign a waiver, after class they have 6 showers and enclosed saunas! I did the infrared yoga class that I booked through class pass. The room is very intimate, it's smaller than the what I've experienced but it wasn't too bad. The teacher was awesome and you can tell she is an expert. Although the studio is small and right on a busy street I couldn't hear anything going on outside of the room. They have yoga mats and towels for purchase so best if you bring your own. They are very clean so after class you are to wipe down your blocks and mats. It was a nice experience overall and the showers were really just that cherry on top! Btw - parking is metered parking so you know that goes... go early! read more

Hubby and I are in town visiting the kids from the bay. This is one of our bonding moments with my daughter. We either take yoga or Lagree and my daughter took me here for the first time. She always goes to this place and she said she loves it. The place has sauna also and they have private showers as well. The yoga room is pretty small so you have to make sure you make reservations ahead of time. The place is cute and neat and have items to sell. I love the staff and their great service although parking is a little challenging, so make sure you arrive 5 to 10 minutes earlier. I definitely recommend this place. read more

The biggest downside here is the parking situation. I drove here from Santa Monica, which took me over 40 minutes. I couldn't find parking, so I had to pay $10 to park in the parking lot in front of the studio. The Stretch + Restore session with Devon was peaceful, relaxing, and much needed. She burned sage during the session, and it helped me to get in my zone and feel more grounded. They offer many different services that are all about wellness. Overall, it was 9/10 just because of the parking situation. read more

Look, I love Sweat Theory. I want to give it five stars, but I won't, because there are some things that need improvement. Here's what makes Sweat Theory better than the others: -Showers in private rooms with the saunas. -Cayenne shot before/mineral shot after. -Always clean. -Great hot yoga with stretch classes and yin. -Friendly service -They weren't crazy during the Plannedemic. Here's what HUGELY needs improvement: -Stop asking for tips. Pay your workers what they should be paid instead of relying on customers to tip. We are paying for a service of the sauna. Charge the price you need to charge to pay your workers properly. Tipping is a very old program based on guilt, judgment, and shame. To ask for a tip is a lie: it's like false advertisement to say the sauna is one price and then ask for a tip on top of it. -Fix the broken doors of the showers and the broken handles of the shower stalls. Always make sure even the smallest details of the rooms are in good working order. read more

The classes are pretty good and the instructors are lovely. I do wish the classes were a little longer, but the infrared heat does get you sweaty, which is nice. The bummer about this place. Is that some days they only have one yoga class, and it's sometimes difficult to find a class that's a solid workout. Those classes exist, but they are sprinkled in with many slower paced, stretch classes. So basically, I like the great power yoga and flow classes, and just want more of them.:) read more

Came here through classpass and WOW!!!! I took celene lee's class and I am obsessed! She's an awesome instructor. The classes are small (about 6 people or so) so it really feels personable and she takes the time to explain moves when needed. Alex at the front desk is also a gem!!! I am forever a SweatTheory fan! Found this place after my regular spot in the valley became impossible to get into. Very CLEAN and well-kept with lots of organic goodies for purchase. Why am I fan, you ask? 5 major reasons: 1. The saunas go up to 170 degrees (the average is 140 and not hot enough for my liking since I've been doing infrared for 5+ years) 2. Every room has WORKING chakra lights that you can change (lighting has different effects for detox). 3. They provide lavender and/or eucalyptus cold towels AND a cayenne shot before the session if you want that extra kick. Also - you have a robe, water in a glass bottle, a little side table for your things AND bluetooth connectivity so you can listen to music while you're relaxing. 4. Rooms with showers (though I usually just go home and shower after I'm done but when i brought my friend for a "social sweat", she appreciated it) 5. Pricing & Availability is AMAZING. I have a crazy schedule so making appointments is hard BUT I can usually get in same day and a single session is less than $40. Now.. I do have ONE con...Parking. This review is strictly for the yoga classes -- haven't used the other facilities. I started coming here when I signed up with ClassPass. I wasn't sure how I would like a smaller studio since I was used to going to big places like Hot 8, but I truly do enjoy the smaller, more intimate class. They use infrared heat, which is supposed to heat you from the inside out. Also something new for me. Either way, Im definitely sweaty lol! I've taken various classes and would consider myself an intermediate yogi, the instructors do a good mix of easy to more challenging poses. Right now I'm loving KB's Vin&Yin class. A combo of Vinyasa flow and Yin which gives me both of what I look for in a yoga workout. I read another review about someones not so great experience not too long ago, I just want to counter it and advocate for the space. I am definitely all about energies and Ive only had a very safe, and a very encouraging experience thus far. I would hope he'd come by to try a different class! read more

After my sauna I went to shower and there were roaches running around! Large ones! I spoke to the receptionist after killing one and she let me know that she would let management know so they could refund me. I never heard from them and I ended up emailing twice. The only thing some of the regulars and i have been disappointed in, is that the little 3lb cute clean sweet small quiet dog, that's been there forever, is no longer allowed. Love love love this place!! Came here for the first time today as I had been experiencing die off symptoms from my detox & needed relief! The guy who checked me in was awesome, had great energy & super professional. Unfortunately when I went to leave and pay, the girl at the counter kept insinuating that I didn't have money by continually telling me to stretch my 5 sessions that I had bought, telling me what the next cheapest would be, repeating again to make my 5 sessions last -- even though I REPEATEDLY told her, money isn't an issue and I'll be buying the 10 session package (which is $300) when I finish these 5. Idk if she was projecting her own money issues since she works a front desk job or just being incredibly unprofessional and rude but it killed the whole vibe and relaxing energy I had just experienced. I'm not sure why I was treated this way or what her reasoning was, but it was unacceptable and unappreciated. Also, if you have a new customer telling you money isn't an issue, wouldn't you then upsell them on the best package or other services? She was also very unprofessional in the way she conversed with me and was extremely judgmental, condescending & even narcissistic throughout the conversation. Everything from the facility, the classes, the amenities, the value to the reception, management, custodial staff to the instructors- it is a very nourishing and spa-like environment and the staff assures you have the best experience possible. I've only ever been to one infrared spa before and that was when I was on Classpass and was in Orange County so I don't have a steep knowledge of experience in this area. Sweatheory is located near my office and I walk past it at least a few times each week. I've been meaning to check them out for quite some time and finally did. I called for a last minute appointment after work which they graciously offered me. While the entire experience did not top my experience at the OC place (which gave free coconut water and was a lot more private and had flat screen TVs with sound piped into larger saunas), this place is a nice option for something in the neighborhood. The one key difference were the showers Sweatheory has but I'm not really one for a shower somewhere unless it's Equinox. I bundled up after my session and walked back my office to head home and shower. What really stood out to me here was the customer service and friendliness of the front desk staff. She went over everything with me, provided me with a free cayenne shot and a mineral shot after my session in addition to a cold eucalyptus towel. I wasn't rushed at all, and almost encouraged to stay and relax which was really nice. How she treated the other woman who was working there (cleaning and such) was also very kind. Every interaction between the two, even with a slight language barrier was what really let me know this is the sort of place a person wants to be, where they are treated so nicely. I surely won't rule out revisiting as it's a nice detox and I do feel it aids in muscle recovery after long runs. I have been reading up on the benefits of sauna use lately and have been wanting to try it for a while. I did some research and came across infrared saunas and was intrigued. Not to mention I saw one of Busy Phillips' ig stories where she talks about how her infrared sauna sessions helped relieve shoulder(?) pain. I'm not usually one to do everything that celebrities do but I have been experiencing a lot of muscle pain now that I'm older so I thought I would give it a shot. I was not disappointed... it felt very relaxing and although it took some time to adjust myself to the heat, in the end I felt GREAT. I went with a friend and we had a mini "spa Friday"; we couldn't stop gushing about how amazing our skin looked right after our sessions. Sweattheory has a few rooms covered with curtains and each one has a shower and sauna. Since it was my first time, I was given two shots for free. The first was a spicy cayenne type of shot to take before heat and the other one was for after. They have everything you need including towels, bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) and a large bottle of water for you to take with you into the sauna. Overall my experience was great, the staff is friendly and very helpful and I can't wait to go again. I'm hoping to make this a monthly thing if my schedule allows. I definitely recommend for anyone who needs a time out and wants to feel completely relaxed. read more

Hello Julian, Word of advice. When trying to make things right with someone its best you have your facts straight as well as not attempt to make defamatory accusations of the way I handled this. Accusing me of yelling and changing stories which is far from the truth. All of this which is something you and you staff should best look within yourselves. Please for once honor your word and actually come from a place of genuine integrity to make this right instead of continuing this nonsense which of course I will continue to make public as no one should ever have to go thru this. I honestly tried to continue with your business but the constant loss of my purchase which became a 30-60 min ordeal every time I went in for an appointment, changes/downgrades in packages that I never agreed to, changes of smaller IVs bags and nurses that would leave me covered in needle marks and bruises with their difficulty finding my veins. Having all this in mind its best for this not to continue and that you refund what is rightfully mine. I have attached a copy of an email that shows what was in on record prior to it being changed/lost. Your value estimate is dramatically lower than what was actually paid and used. There were visits I had to pay out of pocket even with a credit on file because it kept disappearing. You should be aware of how poorly this was all handled. I hope to finally be able to put this mess behind us but again please dig deeper as your information is way off. Btw, when I received your call I didn't have a return number for you nor asked for one as you mentioned you would be calling me back to make this right which never happened. Great place, I've come here for vitamin B shots as well as the infrared sauna. This review focuses mostly on the sauna experience. My first sauna session wasn't enjoyable because I could hear the front desk girls talking and couldn't relax. During subsequent visits however, I found earplugs in the room and they helped tremendously to blockout any outside noise. Today I called to make an appointment (since I couldn't get through on the website) and was a bit dismayed that they put me in one of the rooms with a tiny sauna. It was still early evening and every other room was open, so I asked the girl who was helping me if I could have the room across the way. She informed me she couldn't move me because they were fully booked, but when I came out of my session, the room across the way (as well as two others next to it) were still empty. Kind of annoying, but I digress... Pros: -Most rooms have showers, albeit tiny, but it's nice to rinse off after sweating. They have generic shampoo, conditioner, and body wash (all unmarked so hard to tell what's what) which work fine, but if you want something that smells nicer, I'd suggest bringing your own. -They give you shots to take before and after to enhance the effects of the sauna....nice touch -Chromotherapy available in each sauna (with lights that actually work). You can leave it on one color or cycle through them all. -Bluetooth connectivity: I like connecting my phone and listening to relaxing music or doing a meditation. They also have a small compartment inside the sauna where you can keep your phone without it overheating -Water: I usually bring my Hydroflask, but they provide a mug of water and a whole extra bottle to make sure you're well hydrated -Amenities: hair ties, makeup remover, earplugs (essential), robe, towels Cons: -Parking: Mainly street parking or expensive lot nearby. This place is located in a busy part of Hollywood surrounded by a lot of nightlife, so parking can be challenging. -Inconsistent customer service: Not horrible but definitely room for improvement. When I've come here in the past, there's been a bit more warmth and friendliness. Tonight, I was checked in, shots thrown in my hand, led to my room, and that's it. No one asking after how my experience was. -Noise: As mentioned above, it can be a bit noisy especially since the rooms are open at the top, but earplugs and a good playlist help to tune that out. I've never experienced such horrible, RACIST customer service. Of course this is not a Beverly Hills spa but still it was very far from even basic customer service norms. Firstly there is no parking, there are meters on the streets with 2hr limit. I entered the place there were two ladies at the front, none of them greeted me, I said hi and told about my appointment. The front desk lady (lets identify her as with Australian accent, as she never introduced her name and as I have a foreign accent myself: heavy Russian accent, I thought that is probably why I am being treated so unpleasantly obviously the person was racist and probably hates Russians), after an awkward long pause, says hi ill be with you in a moment, while I'm standing and waiting they continue their conversation about which one is going to the protest etc.. I was already thinking to leave, then front desk person says follow me, did not introduce her name, nor asked my name, did not ask what time is my appointment, not even what service i'm here for or maybe if I would also like to add something else (at least do it for "upselling" if not for caring for the client), so I had to specify what service I am there. myself to make sure she doesn't take me to wrong room or smth.. no response. She put me in a room, said call me if you need something, and how am I supposed to call her if she does not say her name? "Hey you".. like this? I had few questions and she cut me short, answered very short, trying to get rid of me fast. The room was actually nice but you can only sit and not lay down. Also the heaters are open so you can easily burn yourself. No-one notified me and I got a burn in my hand. The personnel at front desk was talking and laughing so loud I could hear loudly in the room and couldn't really relax. When I came out, and went to front desk again a long awkward pause, no-one is asking me at least how did you like etc.. nothing, finally she gets my card with delayed motions. I asked for brochure with other services, it took her again quite a time to hand it to me from the same table.. very ridiculous attitude, though she offered a cold towel. Nothing like please come again, and most funny was the fake smile when you smile and then you make straight face without waiting till the person turns. Very disgusting attitude, disgusting personality. Personnel needs to be educated on RACISM and at least to not show it and practice it, needs training how to work with clients, communication skills, and particularly the front desk person to learn to not show her obvious disgusting and very racist personality to clients. I wish I knew about this place when I used to work down the street. Parking is the worst around this area. I was almost late to yoga because I was circling for over 15 minutes. But once you park and step foot inside the studio, it is all worth it. First of all, the fact that they are not a yoga studio first means that their yoga classes are never packed to the brim. LOVE. I like my space! The smaller classes also means more attention and corrections from the instructor. I've had two different instructors now and they were both equally challenging. I am not the biggest fan of heated yoga but Sweatheory changed my mind. The entire staff is super friendly and welcoming.
