They have 2 bars on the main floor and one on the second floor. The dance floor is on the main floor. The floor is spacious, I enjoyed myself with the 20's, 30', and 40 year olds. They brought in local and national artists to showcase their music. The DJs were awesome. The sound system was hitting, you fill it in your chest. They hit that hard drop! One artist came down in the audience with the crowd. Check out their calendar. As for the security, they are tight. We had are belongings checked, we were checked on our bodies as they would do at the airport(without the scan) and had to show our ID's. We hope to do this again! I went here for the #BronxDay in Atlanta party last year and attended the #AtlantaSoulKitchen party most recently. The space had an intimate 2nd floor for overflow and VIP. No bar but there are two downstairs. The venue can be expanded to the adjoining property to make it one large venue or a smaller function. Parking can fill up fast and the neighborhood is developing. It was in what I would expect to be the main room, which was very open, clean, and welcoming. There's a stage up front and the rest of the room is clear hardwood floors: perfect for a dance class but it'd work for a multitude of events. The entire center seems new, and I was definitely impressed by the grounds, complete with basketball courts and a soccer field. While Clarkston may have never been on my radar before this event, they're certainly lucky to have a community center like this one. #yelp365 24/365

The atmosphere was pleasant, as the space itself is modern and well-designed, with a relaxed yet upscale vibe. The location, within the historic Foundry building, adds a bit of character and charm to the overall ambiance. The service was friendly, though it was a bit inconsistent. The catering dropped the ball for people who did not eat meat or fish. My plate consisted of a dry salad (no dressing) and some sort of grain dish that I opted not to eat. Our server struggled with our table of eight, as we had to wait longer than expected for refills and updates on our meal offerings and timing. It wasn't a major issue, but it did take away from the overall experience. The tables and chairs need to be reupholstered or replaced, as the chairs we had damaged two of our table guest's dresses. Overall, it is a great venue.

Our company held our annual holiday party this year at The Foundry at Puritan Mill. The Foundry at Puritan Mill is located in Westside Atlanta, very close to the King Plow Arts Center. The site used to be home of the Puritan Chemical Company, who manufactured soaps and other cleaning products. The building has since been renovated and transformed into a clean and modern-looking facility. The floor space is huge. Sections were cordoned off with tall, elegant, white curtains. Along with nice decor and ambient lighting, the building still maintains an industrial look and feel with high, enormous ceilings with exposed ductwork and steel support beams, smooth-finished concrete floors, brick walls, and giant warehouse-style windows. There's also a patio outside, not to mention ample free parking. Puritan Mill provided more than enough space for our group of about 130-140. For our party, the venue was divided into three sections: (1) cocktails, h'orderves, (2) live music and dancing, (3) dinner. The first hour consisted of an open bar with standing tables and light h'orderves. When dinnertime rolled around, the curtains were pulled back and the beautiful, intimate dining area opened up. After dinner, dancing lasted late into the night. Overall, it was a very fun time and I had a blast. Food and drinks were provided by Bold American Catering (preferred caterer). Live entertainment was provided by Freeflight Productions of Kennesaw.

I cannot say enough amazing things about The Slate Room. After my original venue canceled on me…read morejust a week and a half before my event, I was in a full-on panic. I reached out to The Slate Room the next morning and was blown away by how easy and seamless the booking process was. Not only did they have availability, but the space ended up being even better than my original venue in every way. The location is prime, the pricing is more than fair, and the space itself is absolutely stunning. It's the perfect outdoor-hybrid setup and worked flawlessly for my party. Josh and Chavien were incredibly professional, kind, and transparent about everything from the very beginning. They walked me through all the features of the venue, answered every question I had, and made sure I felt fully supported. What really stood out to me was the level of care! Josh even came back the morning after my event to help a guest who thought they had left something behind. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare and so appreciated. Thanks to The Slate Room, what could have been a stressful disaster turned into one of the best nights ever. I truly believe my party was better because it happened here. If you're looking for a beautiful, flexible venue with great energy and even better people, this is the one. I will recommend The Slate Room every chance I get. They absolutely saved my celebration and took it to the next level.

I came for a private event & overall a good venue, which offers inside & outside usage…read more Unfortunately, the inside which was separated by a curtain, was not comfortable as the A/C was off & seating was sparse. The catering (outside vendor) was also located inside & dropped the ball on many aspects...with no fault of the Slate Room. I have never seen a large table covered in saran wrap serving as a charcuterie board with no serving utensils, mini plates & the much need for Hand Sanitizer. I digress to the outside, aside from the covered patio with sofas (they need to be replaced), picnic tables & a few chairs, the seating layoff were off. Now, depending on the packages - perhaps different setups with furniture &, etc may be offered. The parking logistics were very unpleasing. The parking space is shared, so 1st come 1st park. The neighboring businesses have parking spaces yet with the security outside they will let you know if you can park there or direct you somewhere else & with a small trek. The concept is great, yet the logistics could use some tweaking.

Good space for parking once we found the building. The staff was very professional and accommodating. The bathroom was clean and provided Bath & Body Works lotion! The building was large, nicely decorated, and beautifully set-up for an event that's known to sell-out within hours of posting their dates & locations. The bar did take credit cards, but the drink choices were limited. There was also a vendor there that sold $10 wine glasses. I've been to painting events and felt like the space was tight, but here I was able to enjoy myself and not feel like I was going to knock over my neighbors paint brushes!!! After a night of painting, wine, and dancing all I need was some sleep (and epsom salt)...

Becky and her staff were professional, courteous and went far and above the call of duty to meet our needs.
