If I could give 0 stars I would. I had a very disappointing experience with this florist. From the beginning, communication was a major issue. She was consistently unresponsive throughout the planning process, which made an already stressful time even more difficult. Despite multiple conversations and a clear vision for my wedding day, including specific details for our cake florals and centerpieces, what was delivered fell far short of what we agreed upon. One of the most frustrating parts was the tall centerpieces. We had specifically agreed on gold hollow stands (which were the most expensive item), but on the day of the wedding, she used tall clear vases instead, which I had told her I did not want. This change was never discussed or approved by me beforehand. After the wedding, I tried reaching out several times to resolve these issues and was completely ignored. No explanation, no apology, just silence. I have never written a negative review, but I would not recommend this florist to anyone looking for a dependable, professional, or detail-oriented vendor for their wedding. Brenda Maver, The Wandering Florist Hanover, Massachusetts, BEWARE OF THIS VENDOR - What you are promised is not necessarily what you will get. Brenda was contacted well over a year in advance to create flower arrangements for my daughter's wedding in July, 2017. She was given a deposit and the date was secured. My daughter had a consultation with her in February and then both my daughter and I met with her in April, 2017 to firm up details of what the bride wanted for her wedding day. At the same time I spoke to her about doing flowers for my daughter's bridal luncheon in June. The specifics of both events were discussed and Brenda assured us that she would take care of everything to our satisfaction. She emphasized that her main priority was the bride since it was her special day. We agreed on pricing and discussed in detail the flower preferences that we wanted. She made scattered notes in her book. We were told to expect a revised emailed invoice and she indicated final payment is due one week prior to the event(s). It took multiple phone calls and emails before we could even get Brenda to respond to us regarding the proposal(s). She would always give an excuse that she was busy and promised an invoice the next day - that day never came without continual follow up. Her communication and organizational skills leave a lot to be desired. She said she is more interested in creating her floral arrangements rather than dealing with paperwork. We were continuously assured by Brenda that she would "take care of us" and "not to worry." On the day of the luncheon while the flowers were nice they lacked the exact specifics as described in her proposal that we discussed. The wedding, however, was a different story. She did not supply the BRIDE with the bouquet she had dreamed of. It was reiterated to her numerous times how important that bouquet was and we were assured it would be perfect - WRONG! Not at all the bouquet we discussed. Sweetheart roses were requested and she used cluster roses. She claimed the roses she obtained for the wedding opened too much and were too big! The roses she used were already turning brown and they were in refrigeration right up to the time of the ceremony! Brenda could have easily gone to a local grocery store or another florist to acquire the few roses she needed for that one bouquet. In a response to an email I sent Brenda she indicated she wished she had made two bouquets to let the Bride choose which one she preferred. Talk, just talk. This did not happen. She said "I wish I could do this over again" - how?? This is a life event that is not going to be recreated. I requested a refund of only the bridal bouquet and she has completely ignored all correspondence, either email or phone contact. My daughter also tried to contact her and she does not pick up the phone or respond to her emails either. The Wandering Florist is not someone I would recommend doing business with unless you want to end up with flowers that did not meet the specifications discussed and/or wilted or browned flowers. read more

Having grown up in Hanover, I contacted Brenda, The Wandering Florist, with over a months notice to create flower arrangements for my baby shower on Sunday 6/4. Because I love flowers so much I personally took on this task. Well, there ended up being multiple problems. I had a consultation weeks prior at Brenda's house, where we discussed the theme & specifics of the arrangements including Fuchsia Peonies, Roses, Spray Roses & tropical leaves throughout. We agreed on pricing and she told me to expect an emailed invoice and that she preferred payment about a week prior due to her not carrying a line of credit. I agreed, no problem, I was excited to have beautiful arrangements at my baby shower! The week before the shower came, and I hadn't heard from Brenda, so I texted her inquiring about the invoice. She said she had been busy, but would send it that night by 6pm. That never happened. 2 days later on the Thursday before the event, she texted me again saying she would send the invoice on Monday. I frantically replied reminding her that the shower was that Sunday!! At that point I should have known that there couldn't have been a good outcome after this debacle, but I was assured by Brenda that she would "take care of me" and "not to worry." On the day of the shower, when she was dropping the arrangements off, the event manager took it upon herself to complain about the condition of the flowers! My sister then called me in a panic, "the flowers are dead!" The arrangements were NOTHING like we had discussed, no roses or tropical leaves, just wilted Peonies not even in the right color! I then called Brenda & she had the audacity to blame it on ME saying that I told her 6/11?! First of all, the email I sent her clearly states 6/4. Secondly, we established that she made a mistake on the date 4 days prior & she assured me that it wasn't a problem! If she couldn't fulfill her promise then she should have told me, not send dead/wilted flowers! Brenda ended up saying she would not charge me, but to be honest, I wasn't looking for free wilted flowers, I wanted to pay for the beautiful arrangements I had ordered. Brenda was nothing short of rude & only placed the blame on me. I don't recommend using The Wandering Florist unless you want to end up wondering if your flowers will be wilted, let alone even show up. read more
