I ordered by telephone but had difficulty describing what I wanted. On arrival I did not like the arrangement so they immediately said they would make whatever I wanted. The florist patiently listened and tried to make an acceptable arrangement. She went through three iterations until I finally found one that I liked. The staff were all friendly and worked diligently to produce an arrangement that I liked. Not sure if Stevens Florist and Stevens Florist North are the same. My review is for Stevens Florist at 160 South St. in Plymouth for my experience with them last week. My Mom, brother and I ordered flowers from them for my Dad's funeral. We dealt with Nan who was very easy to deal with. In the days since my Dad's funeral, we've commented several times how happy we were with the flowers from Stevens. We ordered 4 different arrangements (including a casket spray). Each arrangement looked like the pictures we saw in the catalog. The flowers were gorgeous. They arrived on time and looked great. A few years ago my sister in law died and I was VERY unhappy with the florist we used in Cedarville, which was part of the reason we used Stevens this time. I saw the other review here for Stevens, and totally feel for that person. Our experience was completely opposite. Several of the arrangements we received were from Stevens. I was not paying attention to the flowers during the wake, but noticed a few days later at the cemetery that they were all very nice. I am very picky about flowers since I worked at a florist many years ago. I also buy fresh flowers every week. Was very satisfied with my family's experience with Stevens Florist on South Street in Plymouth. read more

Nan is someone that you should listen to when thinking of flowers for your wedding. She is not only talented, but has years of experience in the business. I wasn't happy with the bouquet and the resolution that we had come to. However today Stevens went out of their way to send my sister an extra bouquet to make up for their mistake. We are new to Plymouth and have used Stevens The Florist three times since moving here last November. Each time they did a GREAT job with my floral arrangements. It's challenging to find any business today that takes pride in what they do while delivering a great product (flowers that last more than a few days!), at a competitive price and on time. Icing on the cake was/is great customer service and customer centric attitudes! Delivering at this level of service isn't easy to do on a consistent basis but they have for me. Give these guys a "shot" at your business. They have won me over as a loyal customer....keep up the good work guys! read more

I have received many flower arrangements from Stevens and they have all been terrible. They died within a day and were very spartan for what I know my friends paid. The tried to tell a girlfriend of mine that they delivered flowers for my birthday in May and they never delivered them. My veterinarian was so nice when they put my dog to sleep and sent me flowers. They made sure to tell them that purple was my favorite color. When the 1st arrangement died within a day I called them and they replaced them with an awful and cheap bouquet that didn't have any purple flowers in it. Save your money and use Wilde Flowers Florist instead! They're excellent! read more

I have always liked the flowers from Stevens and this week was no exception. I ordered an arrangement for my cousin's funeral. I told them that he enjoyed the outdoors and hunting and that he was a cranberry grower. The arrangement was natural looking, they included pheasant feathers to represent hunting and instead of just using a basket they put the arrangement in a beautiful cranberry box! I was lucky enough to receive two beautiful floral arrangements from Stevens this weekend. My children, who live in California, ordered them from the website. Normally I would consider that risky but the flowers I received were even prettier than pictured. One of the arrangements was a bouquet of the most magnificent blush colored long-stemmed roses ever! Do Not use this florist! I ordered an arrangement and what was delivered was nothing like what was ordered. Ill attach what I ordered here: Shades of purple are in perfect harmony in this profoundly pretty arrangement. A lovely mix of classic and modern, ribbons and roses, it's sure to make someone's day! Lavender roses and waxflower, purple limonium and greens are hand-delivered in a lavender cube that's all wrapped up with a vibrant purple taffeta ribbon. Item# T68-3A After I was told they would have to substitute white roses for purple I figured it would still look close to what I paid a ridiculous 60$ for. Instead what showed up was a clear glass vase instead of purple. A few greens picked off of a shrub from the front yard stuffed in it. Also not one single bit of purple in it. I have never been so disappointed in a company. If it wasn't for funeral homes business they wouldn't be in business. Yelp wouldn't let me zero star or even negative star this business so I had to click on a single star. Buyer beware! read more

I didn't have yelp before but created this account for the sole purpose of this review. I wish I could give negative stars to this business. My friend had just passed away and I was calling florists frantically trying to get an arrangement to his service on 4/10/14. When I spoke with the woman on the phone here she said the only thing she had time for was a plate plant. I went on to explain that was just too impersonal to me and asked if she could recommend another florist in the area she replied and I quote "I could but I'm not going to" I thought she was kidding but when I responded "no but really could you please" she said "like I said I could but I'm not going to". What a terrible person. I've never been treated so badly through such a tough time. I'm still stunned and in shock that anyone could be so unprofessional. STAY AWAY....have been consulting with them for the past 4 months about my wedding flowers. Was told not to put a deposit down for another few months. Received an email that they took a larger wedding and were not going to be providing flowers for my wedding. No replies to my emails with questions trying to understand. Horrible customer service, and no sympathy. I can't express enough how disappointed I am in this business, I hope it does not happen to another engaged couple. read more

We have received flowers from "Stevens the Florist" several times and didn't have any problems, until one day we weren't home to receive the flowers. The driver put the flowers outside on the side porch (which we don't normally use) on a VERY windy day. We did not receive a call or notice of any kind. Several days later, after the sender of the flowers asked us if we had received them, we found them blown away to the other side of the house. When the company found out about the mishap from the sender, they proceeded to call us and actually blamed us VERY harshly for not seeing and retrieving the flowers and expressed no remorse at all over the incident, despite us being very polite and matter of fact. I called Stevens because this is our local florist. My son is attending two proms this month so I called ahead to find out how much lead time was needed to order a coursage and boutineer for each of the two events. I told the woman on the phone specifically that I was looking for blue orchids. She told me to come into the shop and we would plan the design together. When I arrived at the shop, I introduced myself to the woman at the front counter as the one who called about the prom flowers, the blue orchids. She said, "oh, I don't know about that. I would have to order those - they are not something I would buy." I was surprised because I had just called and the same woman told me to come in. She said nothing as I stood there dumbfounded, made no suggestions for alternatives. It was obvious she could care less if she had my business or not. Finally, I just said, "Well, thanks anyway" and I left. I felt very upset. I didn't want to let my son down. When I got home, I called The Kandy Jar in Pembroke which was recommended highly to me by several of the women at work. I gave this florist the same information. She explained to me that blue orchids are not a natural flower and even though we see them on Pinterest, they must come from awhole orchid plant. She explained that it may be that because they are older flowers due to the time it takes to soak up the dye, and they don't tend to hold up well. She said it's the same with blue roses. She told me she wouldn't recommend them. She suggested a white orchid and several delphinium flowers to add in the blue color to match the dress and silver grey ribbon. I am happy to drive the distance to The Kandy Jar because the florist on the phone was excellent - very helpful, knowlegible and made me feel confident that she would produce a quality design in the colors desired. Stevens lost my business - I have three sons and two daughters. That's a lot of proms, weddings, graduations, mother's days...but I'm sure she really could care less. If any one would like to avoid an experience like mine, I would avoid Stevens the Florist. read more

The floral arrangement I ordered for my parents' funeral service from Stevens the Florist in Plymouth MA was not delivered to the funeral home. The funeral home called the florist while en route to the cemetery to see if they could pick up the arrangement as we were having a private graveside service. Steven's advised the funeral home that they were unable to get the arrangement completed quickly enough to be picked up nor would it possible for them to deliver it to the cemetery themselves in time for the service. The cemetery was 40 minutes away. I was only informed what had transpired by the funeral director at the cemetery when I arrived. No attempt was made to contact me by Stevens once they determined the arrangement could not be completed. We had no flowers at all for the service as a result. Steven's apologies were conveyed to us only through the funeral director. I found no message at home after the service by Stevens with an explanation or an apology. My husband called them the next day because I was still too upset to talk to them myself. The woman who answered the phone told my husband she could not say exactly why the arrangement was not ready since she was just back from vacation and only then did Steven's apologize directly to us. When I ordered the flowers I gave explicit instructions that there was to be no service at the funeral home. The service was to be held at the cemetery, which was 40 minutes away. I also advised Stevens when ordering the arrangement what time the service was scheduled for and advised that the funeral home would be taking the arrangement to the site to be placed on a table with Mum and Dad's urns. There is absolutely no way that Stevens can make this right, but there were definitely steps that could have been taken to at least show some accountability on their part. Very poor service read more
