Terrible experience at Wash Tub - New Braunfels location On the morning of June 30th, I took my red Ford F-150 (Illinois plates) to the Wash Tub at 1054 N Business I-35, New Braunfels, TX. After getting my truck washed, I drove home only to find significant damage to the rear driver's side fender--damage that was definitely not there before the wash. I immediately contacted the location. The manager called me back and claimed there was "no evidence" that the damage occurred there and that my truck was already damaged when I arrived--which is completely false. I then asked to review the video footage of my vehicle, which he claimed to have watched. He refused to share it with me and said it was "too difficult to get" because they'd have to "call New York." This is absolutely unacceptable. It's clear they are avoiding accountability, and their refusal to provide video footage raises serious concerns about how they handle customer complaints. Zero responsibility, zero customer care. I will be pursuing further action through my insurance and a formal investigation. I urge others to think twice before trusting this place with your vehicle. For a $300+ interior/exterior detail on a Honda CRV, it left much to be desired. LOTS of areas were not cleaned/vacuumed and it took an hour longer than they had promised, which made me late for another appointment. Didn't have time to inspect the car and have them take care of the issues. I was frustrated and needed to get going. Very glad I did NOT sign up for any of their monthly packages. I was a customer of the Wash Tub for years up till a few months ago. I always had a book of "Ultimate" washes in my vehicle and my wife's vehicle. A few months ago, I used my last two wash tickets and will never purchase one again...especially after my visit today (I know stupid me). Those visits were like having your car washed by a pissed off elephant with a dirty water trough. Since we're in a stage 4 water restriction, I decided to give Wash Tub another try. Huge mistake! Upon arrival, I noticed there were only three other cars being washed, so I was hopeful they'd do a good job. While ordering my Ultimate wash, I pointed out the last two visits resulted in my wheels not being cleaned. Allegedly, a note was made to ensure the wheels would be clean. After the wash, I was picking up my vehicle and noticed the rims were still dirty. I pointed this out to the white shirt gentleman who had asked me if there was anything else they could do. I pointed out the dirty rims and he stated, "Oh that's road grime," while leaning over to wipe on spoke with a rag. After he stood up, I felt like saying, "Why the hell do you think I came to a car wash." I decided to remain calm since this gentleman is just an hourly employee of management who believes this quality of work and customer service is acceptable. Do yourself a favor and save $35, just use the drive through at HEB for $7, you'll get the same cleaning. As a final note, when I arrived at home and cleaned the wheels myself, I was amazed the road grime came right off for free. Also, the "Ultimate Wash" doesn't include washing the rear window, door jambs or cleaning the rubber. In my case I also got the chance to clean the rear bumper. So I went to The Wash Tub today and got the $100.00 supper wash and interior detail and it was just OK when looking over the truck I had them clean a few things that I saw that needed to be addressed but after driving it for 20 minutes home I started noticing all the details they missed and I am not sure if I will go back or not. read more

I've given this car wash a few chances and every time they've done a bad job. The first time they didn't vacuum my trunk so I went back the next day they didn't apologize. The second time I went, I forgot cash for tip and the kid rolled his eyes and scoffed at me. I was going to get cash at BofA next door until that happened. This location used to be great. In spite of their high price, I brought several vehicles there as they did a good job. They were also really the only option in the area. But over the past year it seems like something changed. They just don't seem to care as much. We now have Big League Car Wash across the street as well as several others. While a bit more self-serve, the prices are approximately 50% lower. So I will be doing my own vacuuming and saving a lot of money. I could have gone to Big League and gotten a great wash, matter of fact 60 washes for that same price if you consider the free month when you sign up for the membership. Prices on drive up/entry wall, May come off misleading. As they briefly explain what is being done it doesn't say anything about detailing/interior. When you park, they instantly make comments regarding vacuuming and taking care of trash. But those are NOT included in the drive up. To get any interior services done, be sure to look into full menu pamphlet/brochure located inside the building. From there you possibly will speak to 2 attendees and a manager to ensure they are getting what you need/want. The contact between you and the attendees is socially distanced at all times. You then yet an estimate on time. I was given an estimate of about an hour to hour and 15 minutes. Located near HEB, a few restaurants, and a massage place, I walked around to spend some time. When I got back my car wasn't just sitting, which was nice to see! From there I sat in their clean (but Cold) waiting room and listened to customers and employees talk. I was told my car was about 10 minutes out only for it then to take an additional 15 more. Everything was fine until a older gentleman came and said "your car was really bad, we try to blow it out and it took a lot, it was bad" .... which there changed my entire outlook on the experience, sure maybe you needed more time but find a much kinder way to say things like that. ..... Lastly the guy that pulled it around, didn't seem to acknowledge that he nearly hit a parked car while pulling it up to me. As I looked at it, and noticed it was very well done, I did notice that my exterior was simply just done by the manual machine and all the crevices were left very dusty. But overall well done and would recommend. read more

We paid $220 for a car detail that was not clean. There were smudges everywhere. License plate was not clean. There was a wad of gum stuck in between the seats. It was not worth our money and we could have done a better job ourselves. Service was terrible and we had to wait in line to pay. We're never going back. read more

I just had a Really spectacular at the Washtub. Armando, Miguel and Camille were amazing. I had some spray white paint on my back tire and back of my car right behind it they were able to get it off. Looks amazing. The interior of the car looks beautiful too. Not sure it has been that clean in a super long time. It smells amazing like new car smell as well. I have gone here about three or four times. The first three times was a pretty good experience with the exception of the last visit. I paid $35 for a wash / vacuum and wipe down of the interior of my vehicle. The rags they used to wipe down the inside of my vehicle must have been very old. The inside of my vehicle smells like a wet moldy dumpster and I can't seem to get rid of the smell. It smells so bad. The employees should be changing the water and rags often. Now I have to figure out how to get this smell out of the inside of my vehicle. It's on every surface they wiped down. Change out your rags. read more

I love The Wash Tub on 3009, but this one on 46 is awful, which is sad since it is the one that is closest to us. The Wash Tub on 46 is VERY SLOW, with inattentive and lackadaisical employees. Every time I have pulled in there (4 times), even though it is not crowded there is no one to greet me and direct me to the best lane. I have sat for a while, finally picking a lane I thought looked like I would be next, only to then have someone appear and direct me to a new lane. Again, on a not busy day (only one car in each pre-clean line), I gave them my car and then walked to Schlotsky's, ordered three sandwiches, waited 15 minutes for them, and then came back. My car was still with the pre-clean people! That was like 20-25 minutes, not counting the 5 minutes I sat waiting for the intake person to appear! Overall, it took a full hour to get my car (basic) washed. The other thing is the end crew leaves water spots on the windshield and various windows. We have a monthly subscription for three vehicles, but will cancel all of them since the "convenient location" is awful and the 3009 location is not convenient enough to make a monthly subscription make sense. read more

I have been there a few times. The last two times resulted in things being broke in my vehicle and meddling. Someone there meddled with my radio settings. They had to turn it on to do that. In addition they broke a ham radio mount (Metal) and ended up paying for it after s lot of complaining. The third thing was dashboard which someone broke. Its a shame, they seem nice but these people get a lot of bad reviews. I suppose you either love it or hate it? read more

The short version: Don't leave anything you care about in your car. At any Wash Tub location. At this location, a stack of valuables were inexplicably thrown in the trash. Last week, after leaving instructions not to go in the center console, someone helped themselves to my iPod. This gets complicated, I'll do my best to be concise. I didn't notice the theft for a couple days because the music kept playing. Not until the "Device Battery Is Low" notice appeared on the dash did I look, and found the iPod missing. I, and a couple of WT managers searched the car thoroughly, thinking that if the iPod was playing, it MUST be in Bluetooth range. several days later, music was gone. This was heartbreaking for me. The IPod replacement (they're available used) cost was irrelevant. It was the music. At least 8,000 songs and a couple dozen lengthy playlists. At heart, I am a DJ. Many hundreds of hours of work. Impossible to replace. I'm consider a No Questions Asked reward. But that seems awkward and futile. As I started this, DON'T leave valuables in your car. And WT has a sign saying as much. But we just don't expect it. My car wash plus detail was costlier than I could have imagined. Wash Tub will never see me again. read more

Just wanted to give this place a shout out!! Especially to Kevin, Karyn, Luis, Chase and Manager Sam. Had my truck detailed and waxed today. They were very fast first of all. Unfortunately two employees outside didn't do such a great job with our truck - small Nissan. But no worries Kevin came to the rescue and made on the spot corrections. Kevin was 100% customer service friendly and a big plus that he spoke Spanish. Kevin came right up to my husband and addressed the issues his colleagues had missed. He was super friendly and demonstrated a fabulous work ethic! I mentioned Kevin to his manager (Sam) to make sure Kevin received Kudos! Sam was a breath of fresh air! Sam was very concerned about our vehicle, not being properly taken care of. I told him that Kevin had addressed the issues that his colleagues had missed. Sam immediately took note of what I was expressing to him. I love the way that Sam had such a wonderful personality and was very concerned about the entire situation. Sam made sure he walked me out to my truck and again apologized sincerely about everything. Sam totally impressed me with how he took care of me. He was very sincere and empathetic. I wish the world had more Sam's in managerial positions. We also need more people like Kevin who take pride in their work and prioritize customer satisfaction. Kevin should be in charge of the outside crew or maybe a lead trainer. Additionally, Karyn at the register was super friendly to everyone. Luis, although he was new tried his best at giving the customer exactly what they needed without hassle. His trainer Chase (I think was his name) was just as friendly making sure he answered any questions. He even walked us to the front desk opened the door like a true gentleman. This crew is definitely going above and beyond to make customers happy. This is my new go to car wash. Good bye Wash Tub on Blanco Road - with horrible manager who looks and acts like Norman Bates! Sometimes customers just want to be seen and heard. This location does just that! Oh did I mention they had free donut holes and great coffee while you wait? read more
