Washington Laundry is my go-to spot in New Orleans. Candice and Kevin deserve a big shout-out--Candice handed me a free water bottle today just because it was scorching outside, and Kevin helped me jump my car when the battery wouldn't start. That's the kind of neighborhood kindness you don't forget. The place itself is always clean, and the vibe is laid back and friendly. Folks here tend to look out for each other--like letting someone use the leftover minutes on a washer or dryer instead of wasting them. Huge thanks to Kevin for helping me out yesterday! This is by far the nicest laundromat I've been to in any city, including New Orleans. All washers and dryers take cards (or you can load cash onto a laundry card), which was a lifesaver when I was stuck with two wet loads from another spot that only accepted cash. I have been to a few laundromats mats in my life and I don't go often. I was in town to help out with relief and found myself there an extended time. On top of that I was pretty busy during the day hours and traffic didn't help. This location was opened shortly after the hurricane and had full services available. I was able to drop off my laundry for wash and fold service early in the morning and pick it up later that day at a very affordable rate. This really helped me out while I was busy helping others!! When I was inside I was blown away by the type of laundromat it was. It's very clean and spacious. It has different zones and areas while you wait on your clothes. They have several media watching areas. They even have a wall of mirrors lights and outlets if you want to do some basic cosmetology. It's really unique establishment and a great service to it's customers. There's even snacks for sale. It's a chore to do laundry but not a bad place at all to do it in. Wash and fold is $1.15 a pound with a 10 pound minimum. I even had to visit a second time for wash and fold. I was kind of in a pinch of time but they they were able to take it close to closing and have it ready at open the next day! Kevin the owner is great people and he has some great employees as well! There are plenty of machines so no waiting. The larger machines are so wonderful for my king size comforter. So my wife and I travel a lot and we have experience with a lot of laundry mats. This place is hands down got one of the best "vibes" for a laundry mat! Tons of machines, super friendly staff and they are constantly making improvements to it as well. What do I mean by good vibes? The front of the location is setup like the coffee shop in the show friends! A business person say it's wasted space put in more machines but the owners feel it's more important for the customers to have a place to be comfortable while waiting for their laundry and I totally agree!! This wonderful laundromat has only been open for about a year and a half- and it's a Game Changer!! Besides the COOL AC throughout the laundromat and wash and fold area. Everything ( including the transfer carts) is CLEAN! There is a special area dedicated for children, and large couches in the front, so that one feels like they're doing laundry at home. And if you get hungry, there are snacks for sale. Wash, Dry, Fold is $1.15/ lb with a 10 pound minimum. And they are efficient! They turned around my comforter within 5 hours. I've been coming to this laundromat for a little over a year now. When I first came, there were plenty of machines. Over the past year I've noticed more and more machines breaking- none of which have been fixed. Nearly half of BOTH washers and dryers are broken in some way (most of the large loads). If you get lucky and come in when they're slow you can usually get in and out. But if there's any more than a couple people be prepared to wait for machines to open. Very disappointing because I do love the location and the space, but today I spent over $45 just to do 3 baskets of laundry and had to wait. Not sure why they can't fix a few machines. read more

My sister, cousin, granddaughter, and myself did a road trip to New Orleans and needed to do some laundry. My sister found this on Yelp and when we pulled up to the business it is just like the pictures and description. I went to the Washington Laundromat today after seeing the excellent reviews and needed to do my laundry in bulk. The facility is enormous with plenty of washing machines and dryers at a fair price. The six load machine was $7.50 and the dryers I used was $1.50. Mr. Kevin (I think he is the owner) was extremely helpful, stopping in the middle of folding their large order to help me work the credit machine and the washers. He checked on me throughout the evening. There were plenty of waiting areas with nice magazines, books, TVs and snacks for sale. There were a couple of nooks for children to hang out with bean bags and children's books, though I did not bring any children. I left very happy with my experience and will definitely return, laundry is a stressful chore for me. Thank you so much! read more

I hate going to the laundromat!!! This was the best possible experience. When I have just a weekly load I use the fluff and fold. Today I had so much I had to actually do loads of laundry. Let's break it down. First the first parking is convenient. About the fluff and fold. The desk assistant is so courteous quick and efficient. Clothes were clean, smelled great and folded perfectly. Priced reasonably. Strongly recommend!!! It's the laundromat that surprised me. Every possible conceivable need was met. The machines are new and clean. The machines take cards so you don't have to tote quarters around (but there are still change machines and a card machine). Bathrooms clean and hot and cold water in the sinks. There are areas to entertain children. There are work stations and wi if so you can bring your laptop and get your work done while you're washing your clothes. If you don't need to work there are multiple tvs and a lounging area with sofas (clean and new). The attendant is constantly cleaning everything. And when I say they thought of everything... there is even an industrial grade step stool for those of us who are vertically challenged. Lots of huge, clean folding stations with trash. You can even get name brand laundry supplies if you need. If I forgot to mention something .. they probably cover it. I dont go to laundromats often but Emmy dryer broke on my unexpectedly so I searched up laundromats and I took the extra mile to go to this one. Best choice! Its super cute and and very up to date. There is a children's corner with a play station. There's a coffee station. Outlets everywhere and the washer and dryer even have a credit card slot no change needed. Very convenient. There's multiple tvs and plenty of spaces to lounge while waiting, or study or get some work done! There's a nice little work space with outlets and good lighting. WOW I'm a law student so my time is really limited. This place is clean, HUGE, lots of washers and dryers sizes at great prices, with tons of couches, chairs, TVs and kids play area but my favorite part is the bar stool section. I rarely ever have to go to the laundromat, unless I'm washing my my king sizes comforters. All the machines were available and clean. The washers are huge I was able to wash my king comforters and dry them evenly in the machines. The services was great and the laundromat was clean and comfortable.
