I purchased a water softener through Al at the Water Guy. The manual that came with the softener made no sense at all when trying to program the machine. Al ran through a 3 minute set up, but would not answer any questions regarding why settings were entered at specific values. The manual tells you nothing because it is not accurate for this softener. Al is too busy to give good service. When emails are sent to him he gets outraged that he is expected to provide any more service. He then starts to be condescending towards you and is very arrogant. Reading other reviews you see a pattern where Al does the same thing to customers. It's like certain days he gets up on the wrong side of the bed and then takes it out on you. I would never deal with The Water Guy again and especially Al. The guy is all over the place. BEWARE!! read more

absolutley outstanding customer service i cannot belive how nice the people were, i thought that i had a kind heart but this absolutley blew me into the wind, i bought a water softener there and it was extremeley easy to install and they helped me with installing it for a small fee although it was completley worth it. a woman named kata helped me with the process and was very nice and delightfull. definatley recomend going here read more

My wife has a shop in Cranbrook that has a commercial water machine for retail water sales. We were not sure when the last time the filters were serviced and we knew nothing about such an advanced system. After checking around we decided on using Al and his crew at The Water Guy and were sure glad we did. They are fast, professional, reasonably priced and easy to talk to. They walked us through the upgrade and maintenance requirements for this system and suffered our many, many questions with a smile. I would not hesitate to recommend them and will continue to use them in the future. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with this company, worst customer service I have ever experienced. I called Al the owner about a new whole house drinking water system and had a pocket full of CASH, he made an appointment with me just over a week later. Not only did he not bother showing up, he did not even bother calling, before or after. Over the next two weeks I contacted his office a total of 10 times, he then missed two more appointments, again never followed up or ever called me back once. After calling him out on his poor customer service and unprofessionalism, rather than try and fix the problem and getting a new customer, he told me to just take my business elsewhere. This is an excerpt from his final email "why are you writing me again, I dont know you , never worked for you, never met you, never promised you anything".... I dont know about you, but when you make an appointment with a potential new customer, that's a promise is it not ? In reflection I am now just happy that he did not show up and sell me something, who knows if it would have ever actually gotten installed, or worked, let alone if it ever needed servicing, so thanks for that big AL, taking your advice and will find a company that respects customers and more importantly, respects my valuable time and money. read more

I have used this company over the past two years as I "inherited" a patched together system to bring my water up from the river, to my well, pump house and then up the hill to my house. I had two very serious issues that Al dealt with as quickly as is possible, professionally and at reasonable cost ( considering this is a technical specific area) Al is willing to talk to one on the phone to try and figure out the problem and is also willing to teach one how to do the routine maintenance. PATHETIC Customer service experience as follows: ME: Hello, I have a knock off Mega Home water distiller and its been great for a year to 18 months but recently it shuts off after the water has been boiling for about 5-10 minutes. I turn it back on and it will run for only 5-10 min again and turn off. Research shown me an inline fuse would correct this. Can you confirm? WaterGuy: funny ME: I'm sorry? What is funny? WaterGuy: Your question. How would we know anything about something we have never heard of, or seen before. ME: Real professional. WaterGuy: We are not sure why you continue to send aggressive emails to our company, I would formally request that you stop. Your address will be blocked, so no further emails will be read or answered. Waterguy sells parts for the Megahome water distiller so I have no idea why this guy had no clue what I was talking about. Perhaps a professional reply asking a bit more to discover the issue and provide a solution resulting in a sale but instead the agent laughs at me and then threatens to block me from sending "aggressive emails" The entire conversation is above, nothing omitted... I will take my business elsewhere, its a shame 1 guy acting unprofessional cost the owner a customer. read more

I am really happy with the reverse osmosis system I got. Great price and installation was straightforward.

All I want is a refund. I bought a water distiller online from this company after reading his: 30 Day Refunds, Exchanges and Returns Policy where it lists various reasons including "Customer Changed their Mind Returns". Well after unreturned phone calls, and various emails I have sent this guy HE IS NOT HONORING HIS OWN POLICY. "No shipments received without an RGA# will be accepted or considered". He will not give me an RGA# and says unless the item is malfunctioning and is a warranty claim HE WILL NOT REFUND MY MONEY! So apparently the Customer does not have the right to "Change their Minds"! NO WHERE in the advertising of this item does it read ALL SALES FINAL! No returns on used items. How does one find out if they are satisfied with an appliance without trying it! What it does say in the ad is: "we can attest to it's dependability and customer satisfaction... We have never had a single warranty claim or return from a customer, ever,". I guess because you won't allow someone to return it for a refund because they are not satisfied with it. This is shady business practices at its best. I am not trying to cheat anyone, I played by the rules he listed, gave the small company a chance, via the Internet, and this is how I'm treated. I am filing a complaint with BBB also.
