This is my second visit since the restaurant's most recent ownership change. Had Sunday brunch first visit. One of my friends doesn't eat eggs and asked if she could have a menu item that included eggs, a meat and breakfast potatoes. She asked if the eggs could be left off. She was told NO, so she then just ordered a bread and coffee. I don't understand the waitress response because we weren't asking to deduct the cost of the eggs! She just doesn't eat eggs! Turns out they were out of breakfast potatoes and wanted to bring us french fries instead. We declined. Really.....nothing special about this breakfast and very expensive and disappointing service. The only positive was the restaurant looks nice. Decided to give the restaurant another chance and went for lunch. Had soup and salad. I really only wanted a cup of soup, but that was not possible. Had a very good strawberry and watermelon salad and a giant bowl of corn bisque swimming in oil on top. Very unpalatable. Told the waitress and all I was offered was that they would tell the chef. The salad was $16 and the soup was uneaten and cost me $14! They did bring me the standard Stagecoach hush puppies before my meal and they were delicious! When I had heard the restaurant would be managed by the owners of Monument Cafe I was so excited. I love Monument, but this restaurant is too expensive for the poor quality of food. I would love to have the menu at Monument at this restaurant. The only positive is that the remodel of the restaurant is lovely in appearance. I wouldn't mind the prices if the food was delicious and it was not. I won't return nor will I recommend to my friends. Very disappointing.

Some of the servers are a little clueless or too new to run their own tables. The server whose nickname is "T" is the best server in the whole joint meaning that it'll be hard to get her. The margaritas (mine were on the rocks) made to perfection. Finally a place that has "Hot" salsa. Great taste, great amount of heat. Only miss with all of this are the chips. My personal preference is for a thinner chip. Some like the thicker ones and try this place regardless of my chip preferences. I ordered the Steak Fajitas with Corn tortillas. Great portion size. The sides were portioned to complete the meal. I did ask for sour cream since the menu did not say it came with it. Well it did and the waitress did not let me know that and so I got charged for an extra sour cream. Not a big fan of refried beans, however that was what they had. They tasted good and I believe if you are a refried beans type, they would be considered great! The restaurant itself is modern meets industrial vibe. Cozy but not tiny. The staff could be a little more attentive or at least more personable. All in all, I would eat here anytime I am visiting the area and wanting Mexican.

A Wonderful Evening at Dead Fish Grill…read more We went to Dead Fish Grill last night with friends, and everything was absolutely top-notch! The food was fantastic, and the appetizers were almost enough for a full meal. Everything looked so delicious that we decided to try several different options--and nothing disappointed! The beet salad was amazing, and the catfish bites were absolutely delicious. Our waitress was wonderful, and the atmosphere was lively, fun, and welcoming. I highly recommend Dead Fish Grill and am already looking forward to the many fun events on the horizon! What a great evening with great friends!

From the moment you walk in, the service is impeccable, no matter how busy they are. It's a symphony of flavors in every dish, orchestrated by chefs who truly care about their craft. Having dined from coast to coast and even across continents, I can attest that the culinary talent here is exceptional. One common letdown at seafood restaurants is the hesitance to season and enhance flavors, but not here! The chefs are not just cooking; they're passionately crafting dishes that explode with taste. Take the Cajun pasta, for example. At first glance, it seemed like it might be a bit lacking in flavor, but the moment my wife and I took our first bite, it was a flavor explosion that left us both speechless! I'm pretty sure I could enjoy that dish for the rest of my life! The Rainbow Trout was nothing short of perfection, the catfish was divine, and the fried calamari had us coming back for more. My wife and I have even started a fun challenge to see if we can find a single mediocre dish on the menu, but I don't think we'll ever succeed! Hats off to the team at Dead Fish! This restaurant is an absolute gem, and each visit leaves us wanting more. If you're looking for a place that serves exceptional seafood with a punch of flavor, look no further. Well done, Dead Fish!
