    Pepper shooters
    Alesia B.

We ordered as a appetizer onion rings and pepper shooters. Soooo for the price of 4 very tiny shooters was a little discouraging cause I mean $11 for those I dunno. We both had cheesesteaks which was definitely a huge difference and absolutely delicious. The only thing, I specifically asked the waitress if the mushrooms in cheesesteak were real or canned. She described these big mushrooms they cut up just to be served the rubber canned ones. Now my complaint as a turtle lover, it brings my spirit animal haha! I was shocked they serve turtle. Growled at my husband for taking me to a turtle eating restaurant haha! Not their fault just my hubbies! I definitely recommend the food though the subs were fabulous!

    Medium Rare?? Ahi tuna Salad
    Reese S.

I was so excited to try this place as someone told me it was a nice local spot. Well I was disappointed to the fullest. I ordered a medium Rare ahi tuna salad. The tuna didn't have a good sear, it was raw, and the salad just consisted of lettuce. Once the rest was notified of my issue as this was a pick up. The manager I suppose had the nerve to say" just place it in the microwave for 30 seconds". What a disappointment and horrible for business. Poor customer service to say the least

Went to We Are Inn for the first time Tuesday for dinner. Drove past many newer, upscale trendy restaurants to get philipsburg but not one would have the authentic Pennsylvania feel of We Are Inn. The place has PSU decor to the 9's , and even had the LLWS live from Williamsport on the tv. ( so cool ) Started with Cherry Pepper Shooters [ peppers prosciutto and provolone~ these are a few of my favorite things ] Paired with a Yards Pale Ale Then yes I asked the server for Large Cheesesteak Mikes Way! Had to have more of that provolone, and were not in Pittsburgh so hold the Heinz or Acrisure or whatever they call it now just added marinara. It is the Chef Pat minus Ketchup, whiz/American adding the provolone - [ Cheesesteak Chef Pat's Way comes w/Cheese Whiz and American Cheese, Fried Onions, Mushrooms, Ketchup,HOT Cherry Peppers NO MODIFICATIONS ] Paired with VICTORY BREWING Golden Monkey ( Belgian triple / heavier ale ) Also had the Special, and oh boy it was special. coconut shrimp with mango dipping sauce. And The Grilled Reuben Corned Beef, Swiss Cheese, Sauerkraut and Thousand Island Dressing all set on 3/4' Marbled Rye bread and pickles on the side! ( definitely 2 meals worth ) Then shared a cup of PSU Creamery grilled sticky ice cream, compliments of the owner Pat Romano. A must hit spot for the Penn State University fan!

My wife and I splitting a Reuben sandwich and fries order.

This is NOT a hotel review. This only concerns the restaurant. More specifically, the Backroom Event part of the restaurant. A review of the food is at the end, but first I must vent about this special event. My wife and four friends of ours came tonight for a comedy show. We had early dinner reservations for 2 hours before the show. Once we found our reserved table, it took 25 before a waitress came to our table despite there only being 12 other guests in the place at the time. Pat and I got our drinks from the bar ourselves fifteen minutes before the waitress showed up. The comedy show started at 9:00pm. The two opening comedians weren't funny. I'm no prude but constant f-bombs and toilet jokes haven't made me laugh since I was in college. I have a red flag that never fails to come true. If the comedian uses the f-bomb at least four times in the first 90 seconds, the rest of the act will likely suck. Based on tonight, this rule still applies. Then it turns out the headliner cancelled so the We Are Inn booked a replacement. I wish I would've caught his name, he was funny. He was from Pittsburgh as well, just like Matt Little, the originally scheduled comic, told more relatable stories about family and holidays and such, using expletives sparingly. We were enjoying him, even his interactions with the attending Penn State Football players in the audience were entertaining. However, the downfall of the night was when the owner of this establishment, apparently thinking he was an up-and-coming comedian, wouldn't shut up while sitting in his seat up front. Having to listen to belligerent guests is one thing, but the owner? Shame on you. We left, the comedian said goodbye to us and I assured him that we enjoyed him but pointed to the owner and his entourage and exclaimed "we liked you but this group here sucks." Needless to say, we won't be planning to attend any more special events here. As for the food, I will share comments from some of us at our table. My wife and I shared a Reuben with boardwalk fries. They even split the sandwich and fries onto two separate plates. The Reuben was good, nothing to brag about, but good. The fries arrived cold. My wife asked for a fresh batch. They complied, they were great. My wife's friend had Fettuccini Alfredo. It was very good and she highly recommends it. My friend's wife had stuffed mushrooms. She said it was a little heavy on the "gravy" which she noted was actually marinara sauce. Otherwise, she said they didn't suck. I guess that's good. My friend got buffalo wings. They were swimming in sauce but none of the sauce was baked onto the wings themselves. I usually order wings when my wife orders a Reuben. This time I'm glad I didn't. In summary: Food 1/2 Service Event

    Pizza steak and fries
    Mary Anne K.

What a great restaurant! We've been several times now. The boardwalk fries are killer! Tonite I had the pizza steak and it was amazing! Now that I've had that sauce I will definitely have to try the spaghetti and meatballs. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, and great food!

    Chicken Parmesan with Rigatoni
    Charlotte S.

We came in on a very busy Friday night from out of town for a Penn State football game. I ordered chicken parm with rigitoni and it came with garlic bread. Portion size was generous and food was delicious. Server was friendly and kept our drinks filled. Overall great experience.

Tons of great pieces of PSU memorabilia!

They have really added to the menu. Great seafood, steaks and even lobster options added to the Philly steaks, burgers and pastas. Ate at the bar. 'Merica. White mussels. White wine, butter and garlic. Mussels were fresh and sweet. Served with a small loaf of bread for dipping (and you'll want to!). Side salad. Tuna grinder (like a hoagie, but toasted roll. Super sharp provolone. Tuna salad was not soaked in mayonnaise. Topped with thin shredded lettuce, green peppers, banana peppers, salt, pepper and oregano on a soft hoagie roll. Great sandwich. I'd order it again. Tremendous beer selection.

    Cheesesteak

We stopped at the We Are Inn to eat for the first time and really enjoyed it! Service was fast and the server was very nice. Our food was quick to come out, hot and fresh. Everything tasted really good. we will definitely be back to try something else!

Large cheesesteak with fried onions, fried peppers, lettuce and tomato with boardwalk fries.

This was the first time I was here. I ordered a cheesesteak and boardwalk fries. I also ordered a Coors Light but they were out. This is why they lost a star. I thought the food was very good. If I could change anything about the food it would be that I thought the steak was a little greasy which soaked into the roll and it was falling apart. But the taste was spot on and worth the mess. The wait staff was very nice and it seemed as though they kept it very clean.

I'd give no stars if I could. Food wasn't very good for the price you pay. Also the owner is not a very nice person.

**this is worth the read**…read more I'm a Hilton guy and decided to stop mid roadtrip from Boston to Chicago at this Hampton inn in clearfield. Here's why this is a forever 1 star.. 1. Concierge made a joke about how I must be " a gay" bc of my small dog, Lucy, who I was holding... I was actually speechless and offended when he said "well that's one way to know you're a queer." He continued with: "well, I'll obviously be charging you a pee fee for your lil accessory." I showed him her certificated emotional support animal form and HE DENIED IT... like, that is illegal. 2. Got out of the shower and completely nude a family of 3 walked into my room!! They were accidentally given the wrong key.. this was outrageous and when I went to express my shock, he did. not. care. 3. Was charged THREE times of $160, $78 and $90. Online price is 119 and I shouldn't have paid a pet fee... the $90 additional fee??? If you're black, gay, overweight, have a deformity, a woman, a minority or not a straight white supremacist.. do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. I'm still upset about this terrible experience. Please share as much as possible.

Four luggage carts are located in the hotel vestibule in a small area to the left. Outdoor entrances, other than the main entrance, require a room key to enter the building. Reception and the lobby make a lovely first impression. It's a large area that feels both open and cozy. We book thru the Bonvoy app and are able to check-in remotely with our 'eta' so staff are ready. All staff we met were personable and friendly. Our King bedroom was located on the ground floor. I love that the room has 'wood' floors. So much easier to keep clean imho. The room was a good size with a desk/work station, small TV, dresser and a space to lay your open suitcase or use as a seat with storage space below. The closet is deep with quality hangers, an iron & board and a luggage rack. I really appreciate both the luggage rack and the flat open furniture surface for luggage. Two travelers, two suitcases. It's the small things that make travel more enjoyable. There's also a hook and a shelf outside the closet for small luggage and a jacket or two. The blackout curtains did their job as expected. The sheets were crisp. Pillows are feather. You can request a feather free room when reserving on the app. There is a 'notes' area before you 'reserve' the room. Heat/AC control is on the wall near the closet. An area in the room vestibule holds a small fridge, coffee service and microwave. Both the coffee maker and microwave were clean. Bedside table had four plugs for your electronics and a low shelf for a small bag. The bathroom is also a good size with large walk-in shower and plenty of vanity counter space. There are three hooks in there too! Towels for three were good quality, soft and absorbant. Multi-use personal care items are mounted in the shower stall and there is a large shelf in the stall for your personal items. The handle to turn on water is near the stall entrance which is great because you can adjust the water temperature before stepping into the shower. Pressure was great, water temp plenty hot and it drained very well. Breakfast was also excellent. Staff were constantly keeping an eye on messes being made by guests (pro tip: the sugar goes *in* the coffee cup) and restocking. The cereals, hot & cold are grouped with milk, yogurts, fresh and canned fruits, sugar, spices, etc., etc. The best cereal set-up I've seen in a while. Two other breakfast sections include hot items (eggs, turkey sausage) plus add ins like hot sauce and grated cheese, etc., and a toaster items section including bagels, english muffins and scones plus all the expected add ons like jelly, cream cheese, etc. The sectioned display areas really help with the flow of guests at the buffet. The toaster worked great. The breakfast dining area is large, sunny and clean. Lots of space for guests of different sized parties. One TV is on news type programming all day and night. The coffee station seems to be available all day and includes tea and cocoa. A small gym is available for guests use as is a small indoor pool. Both require a room key for entry. The pool has a handicap lift. At the time of this review (June 2025) this is absolutely a comfortable, safe place to stay. A good restaurant is right next door. A shopping 'mart' (you know the one) and fuel are up the road a few blocks.
