From just walking pass this store, I was instantly pulled in by the sweet smell of freshly made welsh cakes. Initially, my brain instantly thought "Oh these look like mini pancakes - which I love!". After speaking more with the team, they were more similar to a scone. I got their traditional one. It was warm, soft and subtly sweet - so scrumptious! I will say, the dough is thick, much so like a scone. However, not as hard as scone at all, which I was pleased with. Please note - the welshcake I had was FRESH, literally right off the grill. I'm not sure what the texture is like pre packed or if it's been sitting out. All in all, great experience all around - cute shop, nice staff and luscious treats!

Most people who are at all familiar with Cardiff would recognise the armadillo/woodlouse outer shell of the Wales Millennium Centre, and the giant lettering gracing its sides. But, unfortunately, few people seem to have actually ventured inside. The space is modern and clean, without looking barren, as so easily might have happened. The theatre itself has excellent leg-room, comfortable seats and pretty much unrestricted views. I sometimes struggle with low volume when attending musicals, but the acoustics were excellent, and every word clear as a bell. As well as shows and events, there are also food outlets and guided tours available. There are also free performances most days on the Glanfa stage, which are certainly worth checking out.

He arrived on the day and was rude to family and suppliers and also made inappropriate comments to young female guests about 'only fans' which they were upset and grossed out by. He left without telling us meaning we didn't get the sparkler shot we'd discussed with him. We could have dealt with all of this if the pictures we'd received back had been of a good quality but they were awful. We showed them to 2 independent photographers who agreed (as well as friends and family) that they were of poor quality and not inline with the work he shows online. We cannot understand the 5* reviews given ours and our guests experience. We made a formal complaint and thankfully got money back but it really doesn't make up for the upset and stress caused. On top of that Andrew just wouldn't accept our points and the points of other professionals. It was everything from lighting, positioning, obstructions, poor photoshopping people out of couples portraits, blurring as well... I could go on.

Not so long ago I went to a craft fair/festival in the Cardiff area and there was a stall there run…read moreby a man selling his photography. I spent a long long time marvelling at the fantastic photos he was selling of his travels from around the world. They were all very unique ranging from serene pictures of the Gobi desert to a wonderful picture of an Indian city taken from the inside of a tut-tut. I like to travel and so found his pictures fascinating. *****The photography range**** The photos were very impressive and I was interested to find out that photography was only a hobby and not a full time job which really surprised me as they were outstanding. He sold large prints, prints on foam board and even greeting cards and at very good prices. I bought 5 cards and a medium sized print on foam board. The cards were only £2 each. I found out that he had a website and so of course I took his card and had a look. The website is very impressive and has an even wider range of photos to choose from. Everything is available in prints of varying sizes from very small to huge and you can even have them on canvas. You can also have any of the pictures made into cards. I have had good comments from the people I sent the cards to and so I have since bought a few more from the website, one of which I have framed and put in my kitchen. It is of Tibetan stupa and it is such good quality you wouldn't know it was a greeting card. I decided I would like a big picture for my newly decorated front room and so I chose one of an old street in Brantome in France in black and white. An A3 print was only £25 with free postage! It says on the home page that the photographer (Ben) is a carpenter by trade and that he makes frames to order so I contacted him and asked him what he makes. He responded quickly, asked me what I would like and sent me some designs. I was impressed so I ordered a frame to go with my picture. It arrived very quickly and well packaged. I couldn't be happier. ******The website****** The website itself is well designed and simple to navigate. The home page describes the site and gives you a little bit of information about Ben and then you can use the tabs across the top of the page to find what you are looking for. You can visit the gallery which is divided into 4 smaller galleries: Far and wide; previewing photos from all over the world, India, China, France, Australia, MongolaCloser to home; featuring photos form the UK including some fantastic photos taken in Scotland, People; unusual pictures of people from around the world and a gallery of greeting cards. There is also a page on the website where you can order a calendar. You can chose any of the pictures on the website to be a page in your calendar. This would make a great present. The prices are all clear and available in a drop down menu on every page. You can select the size of print you would like or whether you would like a card etc and the price is labelled clearly. There is also a page outlining prices and payment options. Once you have chosen an item you simply add it to your cart, click on shopping cart and pay for your item, just like on any other site. Easy! ****Conclusion***** Have a look at this website as this man's work is brilliant. There are plenty of beautiful sunset pictures and wonderful views but there are also some more unique pictures that you don't usually see. Everyone comments on the pictures I have bought and it is so nice to have something so different hanging in my living room and at a great price.

I came to Morag Macdonald (Documentary Image) to have some head shots done around a month ago…read more It was fantastic, it's always so difficult to have an individual photo done like that as you always feel a little uncomfertable, but Marag made the whole thing so easy and comfertable and drawing out exactley what I was looking for in the photo. You are paying for the quality, and you definatley get it. From the moment you walk in the studio it is such a relaxed, but very modern and contemporary atmosphere. There are a couple of sofa's so you can sit and read a magazine while you wait for all the equipment to be set up. Then you are given alot of time and attention during the shoot itself. Afterwards I had a chat with Morag about the kind of finish I was after and she new exactly what it was I meant and we scheduled in a time in a few days for me to come and check the photo's were ok and come and pick them up. All in all a really easy but brilliant photography session.

The rest of her photos were stunning too from the bridal morning shots, to the church, to an oak tree and finally the evening reception. She has an amazing ability to blend into the background but also has a great way with people to get the best shots! The Bristol Packet is probably the best boat company to go with if you are looking for a trip up…read morethe Avon. They offer a variety of 'cruises' ranging from a short trip around the floating harbour, a trip under Clifton Suspension Bridge and back, and even all the way to Bath. The trips themselves up and down the river are really very pleasant. It is a very good way (especially for tourists) to get a good view of the slightly nicer parts of Bristol without too much exercise! Prices are fairly reasonable, with a trip to Bath costing £22 for an adult. Each boat offers a full bar and a toilet. Boats only seem to run weather permitting, and once you have arrived at the ferry it is a little unclear when the boats actually run. It would therefore be advisable to ring in advance.

If you want to hire a boat in Bristol, there are two options. Number 7 boats are the cheaper…read morechoice, but if you want a full-scale rave with decks, a bar and a dancefloor, there's only once place to come. These guys know what they're doing and supply the vessels for all the club nights who put on boat parties. If you fancy hiring one for yourself, they have a number of different sized options that come with a soundsystem installed plus they can supply decks too for an extra charge if you can't be bothered to lug yours down. I remember it being a tad pricey, but if you want to rock the boat, the Bristol Packet really is the only option.

Wedding November 2023…read more We did such due diligence when selecting our photo/video supplier, so we thought. We were left heartbroken. The photographer seemed like he struggled to get about to take photos, he sat around alot, even to take photos which resulted in many unflattering angles. Guests commented on the fact the photographer seemed to do very little. Chunks of the day were missing which they tried to fill with low quality stills off the video that they took. From our point of view they ruined the memories of an amazing day. They didn't fulfil at least 3 things they promised including photos of the bride and groom and guests pre ceremony and no shots of the bride and groom after the ceremony. I didn't get a full length photo in my dress, no photo of just me and the groom staged or otherwise and the majority of images including of the first dance were zoomed in, not full length or were low quality video stills. We also didn't get any useable drone footage as they filmed the back of the hotel not up the driveway and front of the beautiful location. I did send notes about the photos and videos about what was good and what could possibly be fixed but they were unable to fix the majority of issues due to not enough content. I only received just over 350 photos and not all were high quality in our opinion. I've since found out for full day coverage from bridal prep to first dance the average edited to send to customers is around 800!! We, our friends, family, guests are heartbroken, you can't get these moments back.
