That is of course a very important part. However, what you dont necessarily consider is all of the pre and post evaluations and care that are important to the surgery going well and the results being good for the long term. That is another area where Dr. Chidester is likely unmatched. He holds numerous pre and post op appointments. I remember when my wife told me about all of these extra appointments i thought, why does he want her to come back so much? I soon learned that was because he monitors the results constantly to check on how her body was responding to ensure they were not just excellent right after surgery, but for the long term. You dont really think about those types of issues. Additionally, from my understanding, most doctors do not provide such consistent after care. That is because it takes time for him to provide that type of care. He is losing out or delaying new consultations by providing that level of aftercare. When you are aware of how busy his office is, you realize that he is sacrificing money to provide the finest level of care. Overall, i am just highly impressed with dr chidester and his staff. Not only does he perform the finest surgeries, but his entire sphere of care seems to be unmatched. Maybe i am just enamored by wife's big, perfect breasts, but i think i am pretty objective. I think they will be perfect for a long time because of the level if care he and his staff provided us. When you are considering a plastic surgeon i think its imperative that you consider the whole package. Dr. Chidester is that whole package and im grateful my wife went to him.

Then he works with me to manage my pain and since I started going to his clinic I am finally stable. When I first started going to his clinic I was in so much pain from my fibromyalgia, and ruptured disks in my back that when Terri Clawson, the PA I was originally seeing, touched me to check the sensitivity of the pressure points I was flinching away, then by the time she was finished I was sobbing. Terri left a few years ago to start her own business and partially retire. I decided to stay with Dr Chen and Alta Pain Physicians for a couple of reasons. One being I liked everyone I had seen at the clinic. They were all understanding, kind, and were knowledgeable about managing pain. And secondly because I had already had my primary care physician, who was managing my pain, retire on me. I didn't want to go through that again, if I could help it. I had already gone through a horrible experience trying to find a new doctor / ain clinic to help me. This other pain clinic i was going to just before coming to Alta Pain Physicians was a horrendous experience and was part of the reason I was flaring so much and in so much pain when I first came to the clinic. I definitely didn't want to go through that again. After Terri left I started seeing Shane Green. He was terrific too. He was able to work with me and after I started working remotely I was feeling even better since I could lay down on my breaks if I needed to and I didn't have to drive 40 minutes one way to work & home each day, plus getting up early enough to dress up each morning and all of that nonsense when you need to wear business dress for work. I was able to decrease the medicine I was taking because of working from home. There wasn't a bunch of pressure to do this but I was feeling so much better and I felt it was time to try to decrease my pain medicine. I was able to decrease my pain meds by 50% Shane said. I don't know if it was that much but it was signific and Shane said he was really proud of me since I did that all in my own. But the clinic helped me to much that it was't really on my own. They sent me to do some physical therapy with Mountain Land physical therapy, they specialize in patients with fibromyalgia. I hadn't been able to do much physical therapy before because it made me hurt more due to my fibromyalgia problems. But they found this place that stated the specialize in these patients and they were good to their claims. During this time I also was afflicted with neuropathy because my B12 became so low. I had to do daily injections for a while. And this is something that never goes away once your afflicted with it. So even though I was feeling a lot better I still had issues that will probably be ongoing, probably lasting for the rest of my life. That is kind of depressing but I have been dealing with the fibromyalgia for about 20 years. So, I guess I'm kind of used to it and I am still doing much better!! Shane left the clinic about a year ago and I really miss him. But Dr Chen takes excellent care of me even with some of the PA's leaving. He understands where I am at and where I have been. He's a talented kind doctor! I have never known a doctor who when he gives you an injection and you flinch, he apologizes. But that's his nature. I appreciate all he has and continues to do for me!!

I spent roughly 90 minutes at this office and received about 2-5 minutes of hands-on chiropractic care. Before Dr. Baird had any real understanding of my injury, he was already going over my follow-up visit. He explained he was going to do some vague prodding around my head that could cause unknown reactions anywhere in my body, but that it would definitely be connected to my healing. When I pressed him on that -- the logic didn't feel consistent to me -- he moved past the question with more vague phrasing about how pain can mean you're healing. He then spent a few minutes working my back -- which I could feel helping -- but stopped quickly and moved me to another room for electric stimulation therapy. During the head prodding, when I honestly said nothing stood out as especially sensitive, he eventually commented something like "maybe it really is just your muscle." Combined with how briefly he worked the area that seemed to help, it left me feeling he had a sense of what would actually benefit me but chose a different course. I went home no better than I arrived. After some research, a back roller and massage gun used about 15 minutes twice a day resolved most of my pain within a few days. I'll also note that explicitly Christian music played throughout the visit and spiritual causes for my pain were raised multiple times. For a first visit with a new provider, that felt out of place. The staff were genuinely kind, which I want to acknowledge. My concern is with the care itself and how quickly return visits were prioritized over diagnosing the issue.

After reviewing countless resumes, I found Dr. Powers and was impressed. Within the first 5 minutes of meeting her, I knew I'd made the right choice. Dr. Powers is an artist! She is so thoughtful, detail orientated and truly has an eye for aesthetics. I loved how she took the time to ask me the right questions and for any questions I had, she was thorough with her answers. What I really appreciate about Dr. Powers is she is really friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, so it was easy for me to trust her and feel safe in her care. Throughout my visits with her she has always made me feel so comfortable and not pressured or rushed. I have done both botox and lip filler injections with her and did not bruise with either! Nor felt any pain during any of the procedures. My visits with her have been so therapeutic and reassuring because she takes the time to walk me through each step of the process and asks how I'm doing throughout. What I also think is amazing about her is hearing her observations and sharing her input in what would give me optimal results. The best example was when she handed me the mirror to look at how my lips looked after the injection, and she ever so kindly pointed out some areas where she felt that could use a little more filler in - AND I AM SO GLAD I listened to her because I LOVE HOW MY LIPS LOOK!
